I bought these awhile ago and didn't notice any results and eventually they got buried under stuff and I forgot about them. I recently found them again and started using them but this time I looked up the directions on how to use them and it turns out the first time I was using them wrong. Previously I wet the pad and then wiped my face with the rough side and then the smooth side and splashed some water on to rinse. Now I still wet the pad and use the rough side first but before I use the smooth side I use a washcloth to wipe/rinse my face and then use it again after the smooth side. Wow, what a difference! My pores look smaller, my skin is more even-toned and for the first time glows. I haven't been using these long enough to tell if they are going to help or worsen the hormonal acne on my chin, so I can't yet recommend them to people with acne. I have been using them once a day in the evening and they really take off all my makeup. In the morning I use my gentle cetaphil because if I didn't I feel like using these pads and a less moisturizing cleanser could dry my face out. Neutrogena finally got a product right!
UPDATE: After using these once a day for a week my entire chin broke out in cystic acne. I still recommend them for occasional use to exfoliate and for people without any acne problems but using them every day on my skin which breaks out easily has created a mess that is going to leave some marks.

I bought these at the drug store for removing makeup, and I'm so glad I bought them. My skin looks so bright and healthy when I used, it reduced my acne scars and even help keep acne at bay (VERY impressive!). It even got rid of the blackheads around my nose (somthing I've never been able to do). A fantastic buy!

I was quite impressed with these pads. My skin visibly improved after about one week of use, looking brighter & healthier! Not sure if it really effected my scars, but at least made them less noticeable.
Neither side of the pads irritated my skin at all, and they were easy to use in the shower (I just put one pad in the shower each day so they wouldn't all get wet).

Love these... nothing I have found recently keeps my skin clear like these microderm pads do. Since using these my skin has been smooth, glowing, and virtually blemish-free all the time. They also fade acne scars AMAZINGLY. I do wish they'd foam up more, but I can deal with that considering the lovely skin they give me. I'll definitely keep buying these.

I bought these cos my supermarket didn't have much else in at the time & I was stuck...best buy ever! I thought they were quite pricey but it is worth it. I have pretty out-break prone skin & have been using the pads every evening to take off my make-up. Straight away I noticed an improvement in my skin texture and brightness and my spots cleared up within days. I can't attribute this to anything else and believe me I've tried alot of things to no effect. Also, I have been using Clinique's Even Better Skin Tone Corrector for about 6/7 weeks before starting with the pads and had noticed NOTHING but within a week of using the cleansing pads my acne scars were less visible. I don't know was it a cumulative effect but I'd buy these before I'd buy the (much more expensive) Clinique again.
Drawbacks include a lack of foam,.maybe it was just me but they didn't seem to foam up like I expected but it's a minor point. Also sometimes my fingers did slip out of the pocket but again, minor detail. Oh yeah and the pads are great quality, I've been using them (when I've finished with them) to wipe around my bathroom sink and counters, they're sparkling too lol! continued >>

I got this as a sample, about 6 of them. I've been using them once per day and my skin feels amazing. I can't believe this but it is working for my acne! When I use it in the morning it acts like a primer for my makeup!

I love this! It's fairly gentle and really works. I use this every other morning so that when I apply my make up I have a smooth base to work on.
The 2nd side seems to have a toner product in it, maybe it's just me, but there is a slight tingly feel.

LOVE THIS!!!! Probably the best exfoliant I've ever used. I've been using this product daily for about a month and since I switched I've noticed my skin is smoother, clearer and softer. I highly recommend this protect, especially if you have red marks from acne. I've noticed my acne marks have faded dramatically.
Plus, at six US dollars a box, you can't find a better product!
Word of advice: only use once a day. I doubled up for a couple of days and my skin started to break out.

got this for just under $10 at walmart.. found the price to be amazing for the amount of pads that i got.
it does a great job at exfoliating on the one side and the other side makes my skin really soft. i havent gotten into the routine of using them every day, but the days that i do use them, i see a difference, so i know if i used them daily my skin would look better!
very easy to use. where my fingers are suppose to slip into, its not a snug fit so it can be a little awkward.
i will definitely repurchase...
i also cut these pads in half and get twice the amount.. i find that a whole pad can be a bit too much

Wow, I really like these! I love to exfoliate my skin because of the great benefits I get from doing it (more "glowing" skin, less breakouts, better canvas for makeup...). So I was at Target & saw these & decided to give them a try. They are great! Some people find the pocket-like design to be "awkward" but I find it genius. It is sooo easy to use. I also love that the exfoliating side of the pocket it not too harsh, just perfect. The other side is smooth & feels really good against the skin after its just been exfoliated. Love this product! I have slightly dry (mostly due to Keratosis Pilaris Rubra) moderately sensitive skin and these pads are awesome.

After using the pad my face felt very soft and not overly dry. I look forward to seeing improvement in skin tone and texture.
This is much better than a washcloth or face wash with micro beads in it. This gives a nice amount of abrasion, depending on how hard or soft you scrub.
update: so i went through my whole box and guess what? no noticeable change in my skin whatsoever. guess i'm not surprised, considering the price. matter of fact after the first day of using them my skin didn't feel as soft with each continued use.. like my skin got used to them immediately and they no longer worked. decent for stripping off makeup though--and a pleasant, mild scent.

I got this as a sample, and let me tell you, I absolutely LOVE this product! Right after I patted my face dry, it felt REALLY smooth. I'm running out to get the product tomorrow!

I like the concept of these - a pad with cleanser that is scrubby on one side and smooth on the other. I'll use these a few times per week at night to remove mu and buff dry skin. These do tend to be a bit harsh, so minus two lippies. Otherwise, pretty good product. Wish they had a gentle version for sensitive skin types with a richer cleanser.

As a lazy person with mature, flaky skin, I avoid multi-step "systems" where you have to cleanse, scrub, rinse, tone, etc. These smart little pads let me clean, exfoliate and condition in one step. The "polishing" side blows away all my flakes with a few circular swipes. I press a bit harder on my chin and the side of my nose, where my skin is flakiest. The "conditioning" side feels very smooth and calming, and with a bit of effort, even removes my mascara. (Be careful not to get it in your eyes though...it burns!) The "finger pocket" is a little awkward for me, so I just hold it like a regular sponge or pad. My skin felt silkier immediately...not tight or dried out. In a few days, my skin looked healthier and glowier. And no more flakes at all. All in one step. Neutrogena Illuminating Microderm Cleansing Pads are a dream come true for lazy old ladies like me!

I really like these! They're a bit awkward to use, and you need to be gentle with them or you'll irritate your skin, but they did a good job of making my skin soft and smooth. My skin tends to flake a lot, and this is the only thing that helps get rid of the dry skin. One thing though, Neutrogena recently came out with a cream version in a tube, and I prefer this new tube version only because it's easier to use.

I use Serious Skin Care C-Results kit several times a week for home microdermabrasion and LOVE IT! However, I was out of town for 10 days and did not bring it with me. I picked these up for a quick alternative until I got back to my regular SSC regimen. What a waste! My skin felt tingling (there must be some kind of menthol in this product) but after several uses, I actually had a build up of dead skin on my face and started to break out. I got home and back to my regular routine. After one use of the SSC C-Results kit, I was able to get rid of the dead layers and back to the bright skin I love. Don't waste your money. Although these are inexpensive, they don't do anything for your complexion. Invest in a better product!

My skin is very very dry, sensitive, and acne prone. By the end of the day, I always have some flakies around my chin area, no matter how much i moisturize. I wasnt expecting these to be equivalent to a real microdermabrasion, and theyre not, BUT they do a good job of gentily getting rid of the flakes. I think the scent is nice (scented products usually irritate me, but these are fine) and i really enjoy the very slight cooling sensation when I'm done.
When I run out I plan on repurchasing since they do exactly when I need them to. They're gentile enough on my sensitive skin, haven't caused breakouts or irritation (which real microderm does on me), and seriously for the price you cant go wrong.

My derm recommended this after I had a "diamond microdermabrasion" done. I couldn't really afford to do the other five treatments she suggested (uh, who can?) so I asked her if there were any alternatives and she said she tried this recently and was impressed with the product. So, of course I bought it right away!!
I waited a week after my "real" microderm and have been using these every other night for about a month and I am telling you people, YOU GOTTA TRY THIS!!
You'll feel some results immediately but it will take a bit longer to notice how soft and smooth your skin will get. My face feels like a baby's bottom!
A note of caution: don't "work" sensitive areas to hard. I noticed my cheeks got a little red so I don't really go over them very much with it now. But, it's great around any problem areas you might have b/c it really helps to smooth your skin. Doesn't do much for wrinkles, but as any derm will tell you, nothing does (except surgery).
No, this stuff is not better than a "real" microderm, but it's pretty darn close and you can't go wrong to try it consider how much cheaper it is than microdermabrasion.
UPDATE: BOO! In a recent review my beauty icon (Paula - Cosmetic Cop) gave this a big thumbs down. I still love this product so I'm sticking with it.

I've never had microderm done.. but I am planning on it soon. My derm recommended using pads like these and she likes Neutrogena. So, I started using these.. oh about 8 weeks ago. My skin is brighter and smoother. My skin is also sensitive and acne prone.. this does not break out or irritate my skin. Highly recommend for sensitive skin girls who want a gentle daily exfoliate. I don't think this is anything near microderm but it does a great job at getting that dead skin off on a daily basis.
