I've tried this in Blackest Black with the normal brush and with the curved brush. I wasn't super impressed with the normal brush. It was a lot like L'Oreal Voluminous, but it was cheaper so I preferred it. I do like the curved brush better than the normal brush. It is shaped like a "U" kind of. I point the bottom of the "U" toward my eye, and move the brush back and forth to get the base of the lashes. Then I point the opening of the "U" toward my eye and go over my lashes to spread them out and curl them, especially the tips. This method has worked best for me. I do my bottom lashes by pointing the bottom of the "U" shaped brush toward my eye and moving it back and forth at the base of the lashes (just like what I do with the top lashes) except after that I pull the brush down instead of flipping it over to use the other angle. Overall I like this mascara. It is very affordable at around five dollars. The packaging is the same as any other mascara. I don't feel good about purchasing Maybelline products, so I will not be repurchasing this again. They test on animals. I will be trying out some mascaras that are also affordable but don't test on animals in the future. I would not recommend this, and the reason is also based upon this company's policies.

This mascara is really good but I only really use it for my bottom lashes because of how small the brush is:)

I guess I don't really understand the hype with this product as being one of the best, if not THE best, drugstore mascara. There's a lot of other drugstore mascaras I would prefer 100x over this mascara!! I've tried the other variations of the product, none of them really do it for me. This is a very plain mascara, doesn't seem to add volume or length for me, and as I already have black eyelashes I need something to really beef up my lashes. This is probably a good mascara for those who just want to paint their lashes darker, and not much else. I personally prefer volume, so I will look elsewhere!!

Although I wear a good eye primer this mascara always seems to leave smudges on my browbone and flakes on my cheeks even if I'm only wearing make up for 2 or 3 hours out of the day. I don't care how cheap it is I won't be repurchasing this.

I love this mascara! It's affordable and it looks natural when you put it on. It's perfect for the girl who wants to wear make up and have it still look natural. Towards the end of the tube's life, there's a little bit of clumping/thickening, but that would be my only complaint about it.

Ive tried this as a teen& as an adult.I didnt like it then&I still dont...clumps like you wouldnt belive.too much product comes out on the wand...I dont understand why so may people recomend this or say they use this&have carried it in their makeup bag since they started using makeup (is it because u still have the same tube? Mabey theres a trick they know that I dont ?)

I've tried this mascara multiple times, wishing I would get good results because the price is low. However, it is a loss. Lots of clumping.

It wasn't a very attractive package, but the mascara inside was pretty awesome!

This is the best mascara i've ever used. I have used a lot of mascaras by maybelline but this one by far gives me the longest eyelashes. People in my class always ask me wha i use :)

I don't know why a lot of people don't like this!!! I loooove this mascara. My lashes look very natural so this is my every day mascara :) And it is so cheap you can't possibly go wrong. I'll buy this when I finish my current tube.

PLUS: if you own this and no longer don't know what to do with it here is another use:

I have full eye brows (not like Cara Delevingne lol but I don't need to fill them in) and sometimes I feel like they could look better, so this is what I do almost every day:

When the tube is almost empty, instead of throwing it away what I do is to gently brush my eye brows with the little product there is left (with the mascara brush)

I started to do this after realizing my setting powder wouldn't come out of my brows, so my face looked weird with the powder that was left on them.

After I do the brushing my face looks cleaner and my eye brows well defined and fuller. Plus my lashes look great, too ;)
