While this little bottle of organic essential oils marketed as skincare smells divine…and did somewhat elevate my mood as good as it smelled, it did worse for my skin. The spa consultant at Escape Spa swore by it’s effectiveness pointedly due to it’s Ayurvedic origins and telling me to just dab one drop and rub it into my palms and pat onto my skin before I moisturize. And so I did. And I broke out with exactly 7 adolescent type zits. The oldschool zits - the ones that are big and ripe and ugly. Zits. Not an allergic reaction, not a bad reaction, not a sensitive reaction, but a plain ugly juicy zit.
Perhaps because the only ingredients in Sundari’s Combination Skincare (retailing for $52 USD) ONLY contains essential oils, which essentially block your pores. Bad idea team Sundari!

I'm a fan of the "Pitta" essential oil and have used it consistently for the past three years...this is the accompanying moisturizer. I purchased it to add more hydration to my cheeks and around the mouth ~areas that always are drier on my face during colder weather/winter season. The consistency of the cream is very light and almost gel-like...similar to Biotherm's moisturizers. It contains a lot of essential oil ingredients like bitter orange, grapefruit peel, rosemary, and lemongrass -yet, it doesn't have a strong scent (the fragrance is more "fresh" -- reminds me of Pond's cold cream). I'm happy with the way this moisturizes, but I find after just three uses, that I'm experiencing a rash-like reaction on my cheeks and a breakout is starting on my forehead area. My skin is rather sensitive and responds immediately to anything that irritates it. I suspect the rosemary oil is the culprit...either that, or the lanolin oil (?) -- I've had allergic reactions to skincare in the past that contain lanolin. If my skin wasn't so finicky, I would probably make this moisturizer one of my HGs. It has a nice finish on the skin and it hydrates very well without being greasy.
