Although my eyebrows aren't super thick/full, they are very long and tend to go in all different directions. Even the best brow gels and products haven't been able to hold them in place all day. ….Until now! This is such a great invention, I absolutely love it. Although it's expensive, I see this lasting me at least a year. My brows are fairly full but I still have some sparse areas I'd like to fill in. I'm platinum blonde, so when I use brow powder it's usually way too light and doesn't do much. I apply this first all over my brows, and a fairly good amount and then I brush through with a spoolie. This stuff has a GREAT hold, doesn't feel thick, and is really convenient and fast. After I apply and brush my eyebrows out, I apply my brow powder as needed. It makes the powder stick and literally water proof. It also makes my super light brow powder more pigmented but still looks so natural. i absolutely love it!!
I used to swear by the WnW brow kits, but would burn through the wax part really fast, leaving only the powders, no good. I always eyed the Anastasia Brow Fix for its convenient fat pencil shape. So glad I finally made the switch. The quality of this brow wax blows everything else out of the water; it is clear, has 6+ hour staying power, and keeps hairs tidy. I have relatively fine brow hairs so I use this as a base for the powder I apply on top, usually MAC Brun. Not that there is any comparison, but the longevity of this wax compared to my WnW one is amazing. Usually by the end of the day, portions of my brow are less cleanly defined but not with this stuff. The only caveat I could see is the sharpening issue; definitely make sure you have a sharpener that can accommodate this size of pencil, as it is chubbier than a standard eyeliner. Overall, new HG product!
Like so many other people I love this product. I don't have thick or bushy brows but they are, for some unknown reason, really unruly. I use regular clear brow gel (currently Palladio) to put my brows in place and then run this wax over my brows once the gel is dry. My brows look very natural. Sometimes brow gel can look shiny or dry out your brows. This wax eliminates those problems and keeps my brows looking great all day. I have only bought this once and have used it every day for 6 months and there is at least 3/4 of the pencil still going. The price ($21) may seem high but it lasts a long time. 5 stars for one my my can't live without products.
Anastasia Brow Fix is a colorless brow wax pencil. It claims to keep brows in place with flexibility. I find that claim to be true, that is why I prefer it over the brow gel, which tends to make my brows too stiff. I apply this over the Anastasia Brow Powder Duo. I like that it does add some shine which makes my brows look healthy and a bit darker. You do need to sharpen the pencil occasionally, not to keep it sharp but to expose more product. I am pleased with the product and will purchase again. It does last a long time so it is a good value. Anastasia Of Beverly Hills have great brow products and I usually purchase at Ulta or Sephora.
Love this wax! So easy to apply and doesn't make my brow hairs fall out (and they fall out pretty easy!). Holds them in place all day but they still feel nice and soft. Took one lippie off because I dislike that I have to sharpen this. I hate the price too but I am sure it will last me a very long time so it's worth it to me. Would repurchase.
This works. I checked the "yes" for will buy product again because it works, but I will not buy this again because the E.L.F. clear gel works just as good for so much less money.
Simple and effective. I'm on my third wax pencil. I use this everyday with Laura Mercier's black eyebrow pencil and get great results. I like to use the wax alone when I'm short on time, but I find that it leaves a bit of white residue when there's no pencil over it. Aside from that, get a chubby sharpener and you're good to go.
I like to keep my makeup routine very simple, but this is one of those products that seems excessive yet a must-have. Before I get into it, I will say I bought one of these TWO YEARS ago and am almost out of it after using it daily.
I have really light brows that definitely need to be filled in. I use this first and then apply brow powder over it. I think it helps the brow powder to stay put rather than eyebrow gels. Honestly, you can't really screw it up.
I took off one star because it is ridiculously expensive for what it is. Also, as with other products that come in pencil form, you lose quite a bit of it when you go to sharpen the pencil, which is that much worse when it comes to an expensive product.
Love this. I inherited brows from the men's side of my family: long hairs that stick out in every direction, even when they're freshly threaded and trimmed. Spoolies alone do nothing. Those gels in wands help a little but they're shiny, dry stiff and because of the amount I need to use, I always look like I'm wearing hair gel on my forehead.
This is a matte wax with super hold yet a natural look. Just run the side or tip of the pencil along your brow line; I also use it to poke those renegade hairs into place. You don't look like you've got product on your brows - you just look like you've got great brows. And it's a no-brainer to use. I'm sure it's perfect for those with more manageable brows too.
Love, love, love this product. My eyebrow hairs tend to get long, real fast. I like to keep them looking neat, so I was always searching for an eyebrow product to hold them in place. For the longest time I tried several eye brow gels (you know, the clear ones you apply with a mascara wand). Those never worked out for me. Sure, they would hold my eye brows in place, but you could always tell my eyebrows were 'gelled', regardless of what brand I would use. It just never looked...real. Even the high end brands when applied would look the same. My eyebrows would never look natural when I used the eye brow gel. What was worse was that the wand to apply the eye brow gel would pick up other products over time (e.g. foundation), and eventually the eye brow gel would become cloudy and wouldn't go on clear anymore.
The brow fix pencil is more waxy than the eye brow gels, which tend to be more liquidy. It is super easy to apply. Just run it over your brows once or twice, just as though you were lining them with a pencil, give then a quick brush, and VOILA! You will have neat eye brows, they will look natural, and they will not move!
I'm a bit late discovering this product, but I now can't live without it. I hope they never discontinue it.
It may seem a bit pricey...I can't remember what I paid for it in Canada, but it was roughly $25. Seems like a lot to pay for a pencil-looking product, but trust me, it is well worth it. I purchased mine about 4 months ago, I use it almost everyday, and I have yet to sharpen it. A well worth product if you have eyebrow hairs that tend to stray throughout the day. Hey, that rhymed!
I would purchase again, no doubt about it.
