This rediculously cheap cleanser is a gem of a find. You can buy it at Shoppers in a huge pump bottle for next to nothing. I usually use the great St. Ives Apricot Wash, but in really wintry weather my skin gets super dry. I use this for dry days and it really keeps the breakouts at bay. I've tried a bunch of gentle cleansers and they usually work well initially, but after a few weeks or months, my skin breaks out (like Marcelle Gentle Cleanser or Effaclar Cleanser). It didn't happen with this one. For some reason the new SpectroJel formula messed my skin up (I LOVED the old one), so the Shoppers expert encouraged me to try this cleanser. It's just like the old Spectro, but gets makeup off better. You still need to follow with a toner to get every bit off, but since my skin is in good shape with this, residue doesn't seem to be a problem. It's great for my acne-prone skin, but my 50-something mom can also use it for her sensitive, dry skin. I give this 5 lippies for the effectiveness, gentleness, the price, the pump bottle, and the fact that it does a way better job than stuff 5 times the price. I lived in the States for a few years and found myself wishing Life and Marcelle were available there. Purpose and Cetaphil don't compare! Now if it only came in a travel bottle too....UPDATE: Still loving this incredible stuff. It's the only face wash that doesn't dry my face out in the winter, but still keeps breakouts at bay. This mixed with non-comedogenic powder foundation has changed my skin- I no longer need to wear covering foundations or thick creams! Hope Life never discontinues this amazing product.
