For 16 L-O-N-G years I have been looking for my HG YSL lipstick "Prismatic Purple" to no avail. Recently I was trolling ebay and thought to look up YSL colors. Lo and behold!! I spent a fortune (even on ebay) to try YSL Rouge Pur Transparent #25 "Black Tulip" and it was a lovely surprise!! This color is almost 100% what I was looking for. I love the deep grape lip look. It isn't heavily pigmented (therefore the Transparent) so it's not "The Joker". In fact, it's very sheer and can be built up for more color intensity. I love the contrast of my very pale cool toned skin with the purply lip. I offset this with pink blush and very little mascara on my green eyes and I'm happy. This is not quite as glossy as Prismatic Purple but for me that's a good thing since I never use a mirror and used to end up with lipstick all over if I wasn't careful! I just bought another one in case this ends up being discontinued. I also really like the YSL lipcolor flavors. Someone said it's "tea rose" which I can't confirm or deny BUT I like it! Also love the glam packaging...looks nicer to apply lipcolor from a gold case than a clear drugstore one. :)

Love it! I have it in Marbled Gold(??) which looked orange in the tube and freaked me the hell out when the Beauty Consultant began brandishing it at me, but I was pleasantly surprised when I looked in the mirror and saw a lovely golden red color. I use it all the time for evening, and Givenchy lipstick for day. I have the matching orange-y lip gloss and together, they look just gorgeous(=

it makes good healthy looking lips. feels and looks light enough that you may almost say that you do not wear any lipstick.

i have #3 and #26 and love them both. especially #3 is my all time favorite. i can wear it without makeup, and it gives instant glow on my face. it makes your skintone look clean and bright somehow. i love this and will buy again and again. continued >>

This lipstick has everything i could ask for! Beautiful colours, gorgeous packaging, moisturising and SPF.My favourite is No.21 -Amethyst reflection, a beautiful mauve pink with glossy finish that makes my whole face glow! It has very good staying power considering it is a transparent lipstick with glossy finish. I recently bought 3 of my favourite colour as this range is unfortunately discontinued..

Rouge Pur Transparent SPF 8 lipstick in #5 Exquisite Plum is a very beautiful plum YLBB color, great with my MAC NC15/20 coloring--I love it. Plus, it has the most gorgeous case!

my first ever yves saint laurant cosmetic item...i got this in #25 and though it loox super scary on the tube (almost Black looking)...it actually comes off sheerer...its a plum color but on my MMM w/ yellow undertones,C40/C5.....it kinda made me look blahh...i have a hard time pulling off plum but when i blotted it off lightly with a tissue, it looked pretty against my pigmented lips..but anyways...what makes me want to buy a lipstick is the color deliverance,texture and overall "feel" of it in my lips...and i was quite happy with this (esp. w/ the creamy/moisturous texture!)....if i can find a nice pinky-peach shade...i will definitely get another one of these baby's!!!!

One of my favourites - wonderful colours, outstanding quality, not too sheer - I simply love it! What's more, the design of this lipstick is so beautiful that I would like to have all the shades! The only drawback is the price - quite expensive.

Its packaging, scent and feeling on my lips are too lovely that I have to own it! High quanlity as always, light-weighted, sheer, smooth... however, the shades are not very outstanding and it's a bit expensive just like other YSL makeups.

My favourite transparent lipsticks. Light textured, but anyway well pigmented, very nice colors and (surprisingly for a sheer, transparent lipsticks) - very good staying power.

glide smoothly, sheer to medium subtle look, didn't last. on the good side it's quite moisturizing but I can get a much much cheaper lip balm with vitamin n SPF too :-) I think it's way... behind menard (japanese cosmetics company) lipstick for their sheer n natural look (I used it since I'm in primary school, it give natural look even the theachers don't know that I used it - it's forbidden! ha...ha..ha..) This YSL isn't gonna last long, so it's too expensive. I'm not gonna buy this again.

I love the feel of YSL lipsticks, and I especially liked the sheer color that these gave me, so I bought a few. However, I have found that the smell and the taste are beginning to make me sick so I will be giving mine away. The smell is okay on it's own (like roses) but combined with the bad taste, it is too much.

YSL lipsticks are amazing: highly pigmented yet transparent, moisturizing yet long lasting, you can either apply these lightly for a more subtle look or layer for lush, intensely coloured lips. I have #1 Bright Fuchsia (a vibrant, blue-based fuschia with a hint of shimmer) and #8 Burnished Raspberry (a golden, dark raspberry pink). Although the colour does fade during the day, I don't mind reapplying because of the glamorous gold YSL packaging. :) These are very expensive at $25.50, but worth the price to me as I love the colours and wear the few lipsticks that I own nearly every day.

I am very pleased with these lipsticks. For a transparent lippie these have average or better lasting power and are very moisturizing. I actually like reapplying it, due to the moisture factor, especially now that it's winter and my lips could use the extra maisture. I like the pigment and smoothness of application--great product, although pricy. The smell is quite strong on 1st application, but I couldn't smell it after it's on my lips. If you are sensitive to scents, suggest that you try this before purchasing.

i have the rouge pur transparent in number 25, which looks like a scary blackberry color but is actually a sheer rich plummy red. very sheer so that it looks natural and sexy, not matte and overdone. i think this is the perfect red tone for any skin type b/c it's so flattering. my skin is steroetypically british-fair hair, fair skin, light eyes and i can pull this off just fine without looking garrish. YSL is such a brilliant company-their lipsticks are beautifully pigmented, smells nice, taste good, and last a decent amount of time before i need to reapply.

I have been using Rouge Pur Transparent No.7 for almost 10 years. I have tried other lipsticks but this is the only one that I will buy it over again and again. And at some point I even had two... one in the pouch and one in the drawer.

I love all the YSL lipstick but the transparent ones are really great and the color #8 (bronzed reasperry) is the greatest of all. It is a color that suits everyone, the fairy blond princesses as well as the Snow-whites, the African Queens and the pale beauties with their see-of-flames-hair. It is a nice day and evening lipstick, especially when you like red lips but do not want or do not dare to use the drag-queen-red-ones. It goes on very smooth and makes the lips feel well-moisturized and shiny. Okay, you can complain about the staying power; like all the transparent lipsticks you will have to remake your lip-make-up after eating, kissing etc. but since the packiging is so nice it is a pleasure. Give it a try.

Great packaging and great smell and not bad tasting. I like the tranparency of this product but unfortunately this product does not last on my lips. Also great that it has SPF 8. I have a color Diamant Rose 9 wich is a very pale pink with bluish undertones. i think the color is a bit wrong for me and I would love to try some other shades. EDIT: Yuk...The taste I loved in the beginning is totally making me sick now... I think I will never buy another YSL lippie again. I am not able to taste this anymore.

I have this lipstick in #5 Exquisite Plum and the name fits it perfectly. This lipstick has a slight but lovely scent (and I usually hate scented cosmetics). The texture is smooth and moisturizing. The staying power is surprisingly good for a sheer lipstick. The packaging is very elegant. I like the way the bottom half of the container shows you the color of the lipstick - very convenient. This lipstick is pricey but well worth it. I will definitely repurchase this color and I will also seek out other colors as well.

I bought this lipstick in Paris because it looked very sheer and beautiful when I tried it. However, it has no staying power and doesn't last at all. On the up side, it feels very nice, and smells yummy. But overall, not a product I would buy again.
