My skin completely dies when I don't use this exfoliator. I use it about 5 times a week because it just makes my face so so so smooth. Any other exfoliator does not work for me and I think its the creaminess and smoothness of the beads in this exfoliator that makes it so gentle. I have extremely sensitive skin that is acne-prone. This is amazing. I love it!!

Smells lovely and felt very good too when my beautician used it on me. However, when I use it myself somehow it doesn't really do the trick. It is so creamy and the grains are so few and far between that it seems like they simply glide over my skin instead of actually removing any dead skin cells. Lovely smell though. I don't know. It feels like I'm trying to exfoliate with a very rich body butter. As far as creamy, mild scrubs go, I prefer Clinuque's 7 day scrub cream.

This is extremely effective and economical. It takes literally just a pinch of this to wash my entire face, where most other cleansers take at least a nickel size to really cover my face. This is why I rated the price a four.
It's gentle and makes my face glow. This is the only thing I've used from the tourmaline line and I feel that if I used the tourmaline moisturizer, my skin would just beam. Clinique had been drying my face out so badly. The mild soap cleanser was leaving my face flaky. So I'm switching to other lines. Aveda has me hooked since it is great for very dry to normal skin. I'm currently using it every other day, and rotating it with mac's cleaning oil during the winter.I'm receiving compliments on how moisturized my skin looks.

I LOVE most of the Aveda Tourmaline line. It truly does give you a nice glow. I usually use the Balancing Infusions with the cleanser, and the Tourmaline mask. I love how this cleanser works on my skin. The creaminess of the mango butter and the jojoba exfoliating beads feel wonderful. Love this product!

I love using this cleanser. It contains soft beads to gently exfoliate and does not feel harsh. It has a light herbal scent that i love. Its not drying and I just love using it. Again with all Aveda products, the huge pricetag is the only drawback.

My boyfriend gave me a gift certificate for spa services and they used this on me. I bought this along with some other products from Aveda. I'm on my second bottle..soon to be third mainly because of my boyfriend constantly using this now!! I was using St.Ives apricot scrub before this and the estectian told me that that is sooo bad for your skin. It's too harsh so she recommended this. It still exfoliates without stripping your face off. The smell is so nice and refreshing too :)...A little pricey at 25 bucks, but if you have a boyfriend that doesnt like to use your things....then def buy it!!

I really like this cleanser. It works great for my sensitive, very dry skin. The jojoba helps to slough off dead skin cells and it does not dry out or irritate my face. The price tag is hefty but a tube lasts me several months. I've been very happy with the results thus far and will continue to use. I think it helps to reveal radiant skin while still being gentle. Of course it smells great as well like all of Aveda's products!!

Not impressed. Really no better than other creamy cleansers out there. I mean it cleans your skin and it feels good but the exfoliating beads seem ornamental and dont really do anything.

I like this product but it's overpriced (I mean, it's just a scrub!). Apart from the price and the fact that it can be hard to squeeze the product out of the tube, this is a great product. It provides effective exfoliating action without being abrasive, it is moisturizing, it can be used everyday and is lightly scented

The smell and feel of this cleanser is like no other I have tried before. It leaves your face feeling clean and moisturized. The tiny micro-beads give a feeling of super clean without being abrasive. But I didn't see a significant change in my skin.
Also the PRICE!! it is expensive. One tube does go a long way but I have seen more improvements in my skin using the classic St. Ives apricot cleanser which is much cheaper.
So it was nice to give it a try and I'm sure tons of people love it but I aside from the silkiness and clean feeling it didn't do much to improve my skin. Therefore I will not purchase this product again.

This is my favourite cleanser. I ran out the other day and because it is quite expensive decided to try something else. Within 4 days I was at the store buying this one again. I have dry sensitive skin that is prone to feeling stripped when cleansed, but I hate creamy cleansers that make my skin feel oily. This is the only cleanser I have tried that gives me a clean feel that as well as leaving my face feel moiusturised and soft afterwards. Now I just have to find a good moisturiser to put on afterwards

I got this in the travel size to try it out. I was pleasantly surprised. Has a creamy texture, but also fine beads to exfoliate at the same time. Takes off eye makeup and gives skin a freshly exfoliated feeling, all in one scrub. I like it. Didn't use it enough in the long term to see lasting results - again, I got a small tube - but when Im done with my regular cleansers, I might consider giving a full sized tube a try.

I love this cleanser! I have sensitive skin that's very prone to breakouts and use this twice daily. It has really helped to clear my pores and any new breakouts I get seem to go away faster than before. It is expensive but for me it's totaly worth the money.

This a *wonderful* product that gets even more wonderful results. You must use twice daily for about 2 weeks to start seeing results but it's SO worth it! This gets me clear, smooth skin akin to microdermabrasion. When used in conjunction with the line it is unbeatable. A bit pricey, but when factoring in that I no longer use foundation and concealor, worth it. Only issue is I have oily skin and it doesn't combat that, so you may have to use a mattifier if you don't like the dewey look...which I do. Also, it brings everything to a head at first, so just push through it and you will get better looking skin!
A MUST buy!

I bought this after getting a facial at an Aveda salon. I had high expectations, but I don't feel like it's special in any way, especially for the price. I wouldn't even buy this at a drug store price.

I used to use it every other day until I realized how much it's gonna cost me if i want to keep it up. Now I only really use it when I have time to or in between my St. Ives scrubs, like if I run out and haven't had time to buy a new one yet.
Anyway, I apply a nickel sized amouth to my fingertips, and use that to rub it into my damp face until my face is dry and the product becomes invisible, then I rinse with warm water and my face is sooooooo soft after :)
wish i could repurchase but sigh im a broke grad student who can get by with St. Ives.

My skin felt quite soft after using this--very moisturized. But it didn't feel very clean--I still have a film of makeup on...I really really wanted to love this product, since the explanation of it and the idea of it really agree with me! But it just dosn't make sense to have two products for two steps (cleansing and exfoliating) that can probably be done by one product!
I love Aveda, but I'll stick to their haircare, I think!

love this product! i can't use it every day because i am combination and it would make my face feel oily. for all of you who swear by st.ives scrub.....stop using it. it's ripping your pores to shreds. the scrubbers in this cleanser are triangular and the points are rounded. so, while you may feel like it's not scrubbing enough for you, it is but in a more gentle way. also, when it says "charged" that means the little tourmaline ions are charged to work against each other, causing friction and ,yes you guessed it, more scrubbing. i would avoid this as an every day for oily/acne prone skin. the facial (although quite expensive) is really worth it just to get that refiner. i had the facial and my skin looked incredible. use this with the radiance mask (once a week) and i promise you'll be singing its praises. i have been using the radiance fluid for a while. i am now hooked on the entire line. i love it. as an esthetician, i would always recommend this product.

I started using this about 6 months ago and when I ran out, I decided to try another scrub (let's say it rhymes with Faint Chives and contains apricot) for a little while, so I could avoid $28 for a new tube of Tourmaline Charged Cleanser. Big mistake.

The word "exfoliating" usually brings to mind words like, "gritty," "scratchy," and "scraping off the top layer of skin," but this stuff is the anti-grit. It's smooth like buttah and actually feels nice when I massage it onto my skin. So, does it actually exfoliate? In the middle of the winter my skin was smoother and softer and not nearly as flaky as it usually gets. Even though I'd stopped getting monthly facials, my skin was smooth and happy.

What was most telling was that when I stopped using this, I found that the other scrub was much harsher and actually hurt when I used it. My skin wasn't happier--in fact, it was redder and I even had a few more blemishes and oiliness. I stopped using the OTHER scrub, switched back to Tourmaline Charged Exfoliating Cleanser and my skin has improved remarkably.

This stuff even smells good--it has the same trademark Aveda scent that many of their products have.

This is a definite repurchase. I subtracted one lippie for the price, but for the foreseeable future, I'll gladly shell out the $28 for this.

Loveeeee this product! I use it every morning in the shower before work, makes my skin smooth so my makeup glides on. My skin always feel fresh & clean after using this product. It's moisturising too because it's made with mango butter and jojoba exfoliating beads with soften the skin and scrub away dead skin cells. Lasts for ages too.
My absolute favourite Aveda product.
