I really love Bastet. It works well as a liner, but also over a black base. Oddly, I like to wear MAC Melon as a lid color with this in the outer corner as well.

Bastet is recommended as a liner on the website, and that is what it really shines as. As the other reviews said, if you're using it as a shadow, the sparkles aren't as intense or apparent as if you were to use it as an eyeliner. But AS an eyeliner...woo boy. It's glitter central. It's a lovely smoky black-not inky-and the gold glitter sparkles and glimmers.

It would make a great eyeliner, but don't expect the sparkles to show up on this one.

I would have to agree with cyber_showgirl here, I was a bit disappointed with Bastet. It is quite difficult to get the glitter shows as much as the website swatch, even if I foiled it or apply it after base. I would have to say for a similar product, MAD minerals' Retro performed better. (That's probably because the glitter particles are smaller in Retro, as big glitter tends not to stick onto the skin)
It is one of the few no-so-favourite shadows that I got from Fyrinnae.

Swatch of Bastet here

Site description: Deep, velvety black filled with gold sparkle. Great as an eyeliner!

My review: a soft, smoky black, which when I applied found a little disappointing as the gold sparkles do not show up as much as the swatch on the site - or how it looks in the jar - would suggest. Foiling the shadow (applying wet) and buffing the eyelid up with a dry fingertip does make a lot of difference... overall, Bastet is pretty, just not as glittery as it might be. continued >>
