Overall speaking I love PTR products. I don't remember I have tried anything from this brand that I don't like or not working for me.
This Max All Day Moisture SPF is great. It is rich very moisturizing but NOT heavy at all! It is oily free so it does not create much shine on my skin. Plus it already comes with SPF. Very convenient :-)
Do not forget this product also formulas to clear your acne while protecting your skin. So why not? I highly recommend this product. Good luck girls.
I have oily skin and love this SPF moisturizer. SPF 30 is perfect for me as I spend much of my morning in the car. I find that other SPF lotions will aggravate my acne...I'm blemish free with this moisturizer.

Awesome product. I especially love the packaging, which is hygienic, efficient, and travel-friendly. As for the product itself, I love that it's 30 SPF (I was wanting to switch from my Proactiv oil-free 15 SPF, though now I often switch between the two depending on what activities I have planned for the day) and I did a lot of research about the goodness of the other stuff in it. That said, I use it primarily as a sunscreen/moisturizer (in that order). It's not super-moisturizing, but it's definitely enough for my combo-dry skin in the winter time, provided I also use something creamy most nights as well. Another thing I love is that there's no fragrance--I hate how many products have been ruined to me by the fragrance. I'd rather smell something slightly unpleasant for a minute or two and then nothing than get whiffs of overly floral crap throughout my day (I'm looking at you, Neutrogena Ageless Essentials). The Max All Day Moisture Defense isn't unpleasant, though, it's really just nothing. If I try really hard I can smell a slight sunscreen-y smell, but it's sunscreen. I don't find that I have to rub it in really hard like some reviewers, though I do put it on right after I shower and then make my lunch, get dressed, etc., before I put on any makeup in order to give it time to dry. Without 5-10 minutes (I don't really think you need the full 15, but whatever) to sink in, it might be a little sticky applying makeup. Overall, though, great product at a reasonable price: you can usually get it for around $30 on Amazon, and I only go through a max of two bottles a year with approximately 5x/week usage.
Great base to use under mu without primer especially at summertime when my comb. skin is less dehydrated. I need to warm it on the back of my hand and wait at least 15min. before applying fndn. I don`t mind unless I`m in a hurry. No breakouts either with this. First bottle nearly used and I plan to get another. Cons; None<3. continued >>
I purchased this product hoping that it would help with my blackhead issue because it's oil-free. I also like that it's enriched with C and E AND it's SPF 30. BUT here's my gripe, I applied as directed, which means you have to wait 15 mins before applying makeup. Even after 20 minutes my face didn't feel like it absorbed all of the product, which didn't leave me with a good canvas for my foundation. The other grip I have is that it leaves my face looking so shiny after application and after the 15 min wait time. Even after just applying my foundation, which seems to just slide off, my face still looks shiny. So I returned this. It's also a very expensive product for what you get. I'm not looking back at this product ever.
I used this product for a week before returning it to Sephora. It smells a lot like regular sun screen which I didn't like. The thing that made it so bad for my face is that it makes my face super oily after a few hours. I slid my finger over my forehead one time and it looked super greasy and my makeup seemed to "slide" right off. Another con is that it left my face shiny after application. One good thing about this product is that it didn't sting when I applied it (like some products containing SPF do).
Bottom line, I didn't like it because it did not work for my skin (oily/combination)
Besides the fact that you have to wait 15 minutes after application before you can put on your make-up (which is why I took one star off, since I don't always have this kind of time) ... it's a really great moisturizer with sunscreen. I tried to move on to something else and did LOTS of research. This just has one of the greatest combination of ingredients around and it's well worth the 15 minute wait. It's not greasy, but gives a nice glow to my skin and make up goes on flawlessly over it! Good stuff ... glad I found it.

I love this day-time moisturiser. I find it hard to find a SPF30 moisturiser that doesn't break me out and doesn't feel thick like sunscreen. This feels amazing and light going on and my makeup goes on so easily over the top. It wears nicely all day as well. I will definitely buy this again and again and again! I am loving Peter Thomas Roth products only 2 of his products have let me down to date. :)

I thought my skin routine needed an update since I recently just turned 30 and I was panicked about my age showing on my face. I bought a PTR Age Defense Kit and committed to trying it out for 30 days. I received some PTR freebies with the kit and I bought additional PTR products to supplement my new skin care routine. The products I tried were:
1) Max All Day Moisture Defense Cream
2) Max Sheer All Day Moisture Defense Lotion
3) Mega Rich Intensive Anti-Aging Cellular Cream
4) Mega Rich Intensive Anti-Aging Cellular Eye Cream
5) Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel
6) Anti-Aging Buffing Beads
7) Retinol Fusion PM
8) Mega Rich Intensive Anti-Aging Cellular Moisture Masque
9) Un-wrinkle
Some of the products were good, some were meh, and some were very bad. This review is for the Max All Day Moisture Defense Cream. I tried using this product for a daily SPF+ Moisturizer after unsuccessful attempts at using the PTR Sheer formulation (review posted). Surprisingly this cream absorbed into my skin better than the Sheer Lotion making it ideal to use under my makeup. I did feel that this cream hydrated my skin. My makeup stayed on okay as long as I blotted mid-day. I used this product for 4 weeks before I quit it because it was not improving but RUINING my skin sometime in the second week of use.
When I used the PTR Sheer lotion I noticed a couple of tiny bumps on my forehead which is one of the reasons I switched to this product. Instead of improving the bumpy situation, the tiny bumps got worse with time. That was the first time in my life that I had something like that happen to me. I NEVER have bumps/clogged pores on my forehead. Because I was using multiple PTR products on my forehead I did a mini-experiment to identify the culprit. I can say with almost 100% certainty that this product was the cause of it. Note that the PTR Sheer lotion had the same effect so maybe there is an ingredient(s) in both products that I'm sensitive to. As soon as I switched to a non PTR day moisturizer I stopped growing more bumps but they didn't go away until I stopped using the Mega Rich Intensive Anti-Aging Cellular Creme as my nightly moisturizer. I will review that product soon.
I would not recommend this product.

First, the positives: this product has an SPF of 30 (most moisturizers with sunscreen only have a 15 SPF) and it doesn't irritate my skin. However, since my skin is oily (especially in the summer, when I really need a high SPF) it leaves my skin looking and feeling shiny and greasy. If I had dry skin (or maybe even normal skin) I probably would love it, but I'm looking for something with mattifying properties. So the search for the HG day cream continues.
P.S. I'm 56 now, and my skin has been oily since my teens. When I was in my twenties, people told me that my skin would become drier and less oily as I aged. Not true. On the bright side, it's barely wrinkled.
