This is an average lipstick to me. Like many Clinque lipsticks, I find it goes on feeling smooth like a lip balm, but then ends up being drying in a short time. The color is a warm neutral with a bit of a coppery gold shimmer. I think the shimmer is nice but there is a bit too much of it for my taste.

This is my favorite fall lipstick. On me (NC20, naturally dark pink lips) it is a warm brownish red with a slight golden sheen. The color reminds me of fall leaves. I never would have tried this had I not received it as a gift with purchase since it looks brown in the tube, but I am so glad I did! It wears quite well and isn't drying despite the shimmer (though I do always use lip balm before applying). I also appreciate that it has NO smell/taste. If you like MAC Viva Glam V you will probably like this. I will repurchase when I run out.

I've been using this for years. It's not perfect but by far the best I've ever had, so I keep coming back to it. The color looks very natural and close to my lip color, just better and healthier. If they'd have make it a little more moisturizing and minus the shimmer, it'd be exactly what I've been looking for! What I love the most about this is, it does last very long and doesn't smell (it does has a tinge of plastic like smell but most of the time i can hardly notice), and i guess that's why it's a little drying...

Glow Bronze is my abosulte favorite neutral lipstick but this one is definitely in the running for my second favorite. It's a creamy frosty pink and brown semi-neutral lipstick. It looks amazing on my skintone! For this diva, this one is a KEEPER ;-)

NC35 here.
This is frosty rosey nude. It goes on too sheer and frosty to change the color of my lips. It's close to the color of my lips so all it seems to add is a lot of frost. Which I prefer to do without.
Also, can Clinique make a lipstick that stays solidly in its tube. I've tried at least 10 of their lipsticks over the years and every single one leans to one side after a while. Cheaper lipsticks like Revlon Superlustrous never does that on me. continued >>

This lipstick is absolutely gorgeous and I HIGHLY recommend it to all warm-toned redheads! The color is a muted coppery pink with fine shimmer. Very much suited to warmer skin tones and very complimentary to both red hair and green eyes. I got it for a song on ebay and will absolutely be purchasing a back-up!

This is the best lipstick I've ever gotten, not only because I've got it from the promotion package for free, but it really looks great and feels great on. It's brownish red and is one of those color that go with netural makeup and just bring your face to life, very work appropriate. I am asian with medium skintone (light skin for an Asian), and it works for me. It's also long lasting and can feel a little drying after it settles in, but that's just like every other lipsticks I have. I have very sensitive lips that peel when I use most lip products, even lip balms, and this lipstick is one of the better ones for me.

A unique brown/berry color best for warm skin tones. I'm a PPP neutral/cool with pigmented lips and it pulls a lot of brown on me, more so than berry. It feels nice on the lips and wears well...I'll give it a 3 on that alone. This is not to be confused with Estee Lauder's Maple Sugar which is more of a true berry shade (and I love!). I like this l/s but the color is not best for me so I will not repurchase.

Great neutral lippie. My all time fave neutral from Clinique is Glow Bronze. This had more colour. It's a pinky nude but a warm pinky nude, with a touch of brown. My lips but better (MLBB) -- I'm a C40 for reference, and lipsticks have to be quite brown to show up as brown on my skin. This was not too brown -- if anything it could have done with more brown. If you're about my colour or a bit darker, this would make a good neutral lipstick. It's not too drying, the lasting power (as with all Clinique ones) is okay -- not as good as Chanel Hydrabase (which lasts forever) but about as good as the average non-matte MAC formulation. Good for a natural look.

Got this in GWP. Was absolutely amazed by how it suited my skin tone - medium skin tone, dark hair and eyes. Wear it all day - like it for cold seasons...Fades fast though and makes my lips a little dry. But would definitely repurchase!

My sister got this in a GWP and let me have it since she knows how much I love rose/berry/plum shades in lipsticks. This has been my staple for the last three months and I've only finished a quarter of it. The texture is soft and silky on the lips although I still apply a balm underneath as it is also a tiny bit drying. The colour is so nice- I don't apply it full on though as it'll just look brown if you do that, I apply this very lightly or with a lip brush- the effect is an attractive rosy hue with slight brownish undertones. I really like this lipstick and this shade as well, it has a really attractive and professional style to it. This would be a great lipstick if you have an interview or as an everyday work colour. Update: Have realized that this is far too brown for me. I much prefer Clinique's Different Lipstick in "Spiced Apple"- that one is perfect/HG for me.

I got this as a GWP (how I hate Clinique's light green packaging--hence the low rating of it--but I digress). I thought it would be too dark, but with a light layer of balm and applied with a light hand, it works nicely as a fall/winter color. I have found that it works better for me with a bit of gloss--even with the balm underneath, it tends to make my lips just a little dry. And with different glosses, obviously the color can be manipulated a bit, though it's nice on its own with just a clear gloss, too. I don't wear lipstick often and since I don't slather this on when I do wear it, I may never have to repurchase--but I would, hypothetically, I suppose. :)

Got this as GWP. Like other reviewers, I thought it would be too dark, but when I put it on and blot twice, it's a nice, autumny wine color. It lasts me about 3 hours or so.

I got this lipstick in a Clinique promotional package. Although the texture was gorgeous (soft, nondrying and slightly glossy), when I saw the color of the tube I couldn't imaging wearing a color so dark. Even when I initially put it on it was too dark for my skin tone (MAC NC30 for reference). However, after much trial and error I have discovered a way that makes it more neutral and day-friendly. I apply chapstick to get my lips moist (I have really dry lips), apply ONE light coat of this lipstick, and top with a clear or very sheer gloss. The result is a soft, natural, glossy, plummy-pink lip :D It's too dark to be MLBB but it still can be a pretty, neutral shade.
The only reason I don't think I'll buy this again is next time I'll probably get a shade that I can be able to apply more liberally (as in more than one very light coat) without being scared to overdo it and get an excessively dark lip.
UPDATE: I'm taking off another lippie because of the color - it's too dark and too brown for my liking,

got this in a promotional set from the local high-end makeup store. it was all the wrong color for me but if it were a lighter more pinky one i think i would have worn/enjoyed it more! it glides on very easily and doesnt dry out.

It's a good lipstick but I overrated the rose and underrated the brown. :)
t's a mix of dark rose and light brown shades coupled with strong but fine bronze shimmer. On my very pigmented lips it becomes a glossy, shimmery terracotta which is a pretty color but too warm for me. I kept it because the quality is great, the new metallic package is pretty, and I think it will look good when I get some tan. Or I'll simply give it to Mom.
Mom, who has the same coloring as me but a darker, almost olive skin, loves it. Totally adores it. It's like her favorite wine-brown lipsticks -- but a fresher, softer version of them, more summer and beach and all things relaxed.

I got this as a set of gift - including a makeup bag. It was this little green tube. Well, the look isn't appealing to me, thought it was special yet simple. The stick is a glittery brick brownish color; I thought it doesn't match my lips.
However, I put it on and it is really a nice non-overpowering shimmery pinkish copper tone. Despite the warm look, it's a cool tone - at least on me. It gave me this nice yet natural flush. It's really easy to apply and it is surprisingsly velvet-like. It's as if I wasn't wearing anything.
Since this was a gift, I didn't spend a buck on it. But I've always liked having lip stain over lipstick, having lip balm over lip gloss, having nothing over all that lippies. That is, I prefer my lips -without any of that chemical lip products on me - the way they are. LOL But this is a nice emergency kit when one day you look sick as it will make my tired face looking energtic and ready.
UPDATE: The color is too dark on my fair-medium skin, I guess it's too warm. My lips tend to get dry often, and this will make my lips look more chapped. (a pain when I wipe it off) So today, I slicked one coat of clear gloss on top. the color is this plum-y rose that flatters my skin AND my lip lines look much smoother. Great find, I must say, to save money on a lipgloss.

I'm not sure if I have the same version of this, mine is in a silver tube and it ONLY says Long Last Lipstick Sugared Maple F6. This is a very wearable pinkish/brown color. I would love to wear this every day, but it really dries out my lips. I'm not sure if the "soft shine" is a different formula, but if it is then I'm jealous! With mine, I have to put gloss over it and then that decreases its wear time, but without gloss it is quite long lasting. I find most of Clinique's products to be somewhat over-priced in my opinion...and this was no exception. I don't think I would buy THIS version again, but if I could find a lipstick/gloss in this same color that doesn't dry my lips out then I would DEFINATELY buy it. I'm VERY fair with cool undertones and green/blue eyes and this color works very well with my complexion.

I got this with a recent GWP and was pleasantly surprised how great this looked on me! This has to be about the best lipstick I've tried, both in color and in how it feels on my lips. I have very fair skin with blue eyes and dark brown hair. This really makes my coloring pop without being too bright. Love it!

Sugared Maple is a sultry color that gives me a sophisticated look. I love the texture of the lipstick, it stays moist but not sticky. It also looks great when worn with a nice gloss. The shade is versatile and can easily go from daytime to nighttime wear.
