I didn't notice any plumping effects whatsoever. Not even any tingling. Not that I wanted that effect. I bought this because I loved the ruby color and I had a coupon so it was less than $2. Plus it has a pleasant cinnamon scent. It wasn't until I got it home did I read the label. So I'm giving it a 3.
