REVIEW for : Clinique Derma White Bright-C liquitd makeup, SPF 38/PA+++ (Japan)
** Not good for SENSITIVE SKIN
I really fell upon this product, which also may be different than the ones that others are leaving reviews for.
I bought this product at the airport in Japan as my current Even Better Makeup Foundation by Clinique was running low, and thought I could get a new bottle duty-free.
Unfortunately, in many parts of Asia, the same products are not sold there as they are here in North America. So I went ahead and bought the Clinique Derma White Bright-C liquitd makeup, SPF 38/PA+++.
PROS:
- They had an array of colours to choose from, so I was able to find a match
- Packaging is same/similar to the foundation bottles - I like that they are small and practical
- SPF 38/PA +++
CONS:
- My skin is sensitive - after use of about 3 days, I found the surface was reacting to it, and my skin looked slightly bumpy and was flaky. Someone did tell me that many whitening products act as exfoliants, and are not compatible with everyone's skin
- The consistency is very watery - it wasn't hard to apply per se, but when it's leaking out of the bottle, you better apply quick as you can!
I am surprised to say I am disappointed, but will stick with Clinique Even Better for now

I just received my Clinique derma white liquid makeup in beige rose from strawberrynet. I was extremely surprised with the scent of this product. It hit me as soon as I opened it, even before I poured some out. It has a very strong chemical smell with a hint of a sweet nutty note. I was wondering if all other derma white liquid makeup has this smell or whether mines defective? I have used Clinique skincare products in the past and never had a problem with its scent (or lack of, I know its 100% fragrance free). Other than that, I love the colour, suits my skin perfectly, coverage is a bit lighter then I had imagined, which is good because I just needed something to brighten my complexion rather than cover anything major. But for its price, I feel there are superior, and better smelling, foundations out there.

Thought it's about time to switch to a new product that's not irritating to skin, covers well and lasts long. I can honestly say Clinique does a good job in all three! It can be used for all skin types, and can stand humidity.
It comes out very WATERY-- so apply it quickly in a smooth brush strokes. They feel like eye-drops, it's that watery. The best part is that it lightens up my dark spots and SPF is a bonus. Expensive but worth my money, as I have used other foundation brands such as Loreal and Revlon, Stila and MAC in the past and yet still yearning for something more.
I'm a shade of warm sunny (14), a little fair for my preference since I'm a MAC NC40.

When I bought this foundation I was looking for something that would a) not irritate my skin (I have eczema), b) cover my rashes yet not appear cakey c) not clog my pores and cause breakouts
I was pleased to find it did not irritate my skin at all nor cause any breakouts. It also did a pretty good job of covering rashes, pimples and dark under-eye circles and was easy to apply- consistency is almost watery yet provides good coverage.
The only reason I have given this a 4 instead of 5 is that on my very dry and often flaky skin, the foundation shows up and almost outlines the patchy areas. To overcome this I have just to moisturise my face a lot the night before. But on the whole a very good product.
Plus comes in a good range of shades- I find it difficult to match my NC23 complexion but this did a pretty good job.

This is a great product. I usually apply it with my fingers, sometimes with a stippling brush if I'm not lazy. It provides medium coverage - masked my light blemishes and evened out my skin tone. Be careful not to use too much though, because it'll make your face waaaaaay white. The consistency is somewhat watery thus making it a cinch to apply, but you have to blend fast. I'd say this will last a good 6 to 7 hours. I'm a medium-fair asian and I use this in shade Neutral (05) . One last thing, its a little on the pricey side IMO. I haven't found anything else that has met all of my requirements so I just might stick to this.

This is actually a really great foundation. At first it looks way too sheer since it comes out kinda watery. But once you apply it to the skin, you notice that this stuff really covers---more like moderate. The bottle is similiar to Clinique's Superfit w/ the plastic bottle that has the tip applicator. I shake it first to mix the liquid and then squeeze out a tiny amount on the back of my hand before applying it to my face. I was actually shocked at how much coverage this stuff gives, b/c it comes out, like i said, looking like it's going to be sheer. The spf is an added bonus. Even though I have super oily skin, this foundation wears really well on my skin. It's marketed for all skin types, and definately oily skins will like this as well. It's oil free. This is a part of Clinique's Whitening Line-Derma White. It retails for about $32. I use shade 06, which looks like it would be too light, but it's a pretty good match for me. I am a moderately fair olive girl.
