BEST product ever! i don't even know where to start with this review. I originally bought this cleanser because the neutrogena makeup remover wipes broke me out like crazy! i have very acne prone skin. got my 1st pimple in the fourth grade. i'm now a senior in college and still have issues with it. anyway, going off topic this product works wonders with not breaking me out. i purchased this product after finding it very difficult to completely remove my revlon colorstay foundation in one rinse. this cleanser definitely does the job. i made sure everyone in my family knew about this product and now their all hooked! i recommend this product for anyone who suffers from acne and find that wipes are to harsh on their skin. i wish everyone knew how awesome this product is, hopefully this review helps you out in discovering that.

I don't even know where to begin because this product is just soo bad.
Take my word for it and don't buy it if you're a person who is used to make up cleansers that are actually usable.
I love their eye remover so much i thought i'd give this a try since it was right next to it and words can not explain the disappointment i had.
First off, it smells like cheap deoderant mixed with sweat.
Second, it dried out my oily and acne prone skin to the extent that i have never felt before. It's VERY drying and damaging even to my youthful skin. I wouldn't recommend this for ANY age.
Third, it's not that good of a cleanser. I've seen better products for the same price.
Lastly, it doesn't even remove make up that well. You have to really rub it in to just remove your foundation. Don't even try your eyes. You will need to use bottle of eye creams with its drying effect.
Again, I am very disappointed in this product.
I assume Neutrogena will have to reformulate this product if they want to continue selling it.
I usually never leave bad reviews for makeup products but this, this, is so worth every caution that i'm writing.
Don't be fooled by the awesome eye remover from the same line of product! This is nothing like it!

this stuff is is a big fat NO for me. i remember just breaking out terribly from it. not sure if it just didn't cleanse enough or if it was some ingredient that my skin just did not agree with.

I had such high hopes for this product! It removed all of my make-up fabulously except for the fact is dried me out like the Sahara Desert! My skin is flaky and peeling and so tight!! Double moisturizer for me tonight, sorry neutrogena you let me down. Also, it broke me out very badly in places I usually do not have acne!

**UPDATE 10/17/11** this wash does remove Revlon Colorstay foundation with one full pump of product and about 15-20 seconds of massaging it in skin. good to know for those who don't like to deal with the oil based cleansing methods of removing makeup. Was a bit drying after the extended about of massaging into skin but I don't wear Colorstay enough to warrant the purchase of a separate oil/cold cream to remove it. In this aspect, I would not recommend this cleanser for dry skin or if you use longwearing/heavy foundation on a regular basis.
**ORIGINAL REVIEW**I've got combo/sensitive skin with the occasional pimple. This stuff is gentle but still removes makeup. Leaves skin soft without adding moisture or greasiness. Thoroughly cleanses skin without making it feel stripped/dry or itchy which can be a problem with a lot of "makeup removing" cleansers if you have sensitive skin. I use the smallest amount to wash my face if i am not wearing makeup and a full squirt of the pump if I am wearing makeup. I think this is a really good option for anyone with combo or sensitive skin, may not be enough for those with major oil issues. Comes in a pump, sold with the Neutrogena makeup not with their facial care items. Does have a slight scent that I am not fond of, but it does not linger on the skin at all.

This is one of the best cleansers I've used. I use this on occasion when I wear heavy eye makeup and it removes so easily! It leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean. All I need is one pump and for the amount of product you get, it's an affordable price. I have been using this for months and am only halfway through with it. This is definitely a staple! I would repurchase it again.

A really great cleanser and one I often go back to when I cant get into a department store to buy my Clarins one. I really do find it doesnt strip the skin like some cleansers do and it takes off most of my make-up (I will forgive it for not removing all eye make-up as thats almost impossible given the amount I wear) The pump pack is convenient and it doesnt irritate my very sensitive skin, the only downfall I have wit this one is the smell which I really dont like but to be honest usually it doesnt really bother me too muh.

Did not remove my waterproof makeup, or even regular makeup for that matter. Felt greasy on my skin and I did not like the smell.

Didn't remove inexpensive drugstore brand powder eye shadow applied as eyeliner. Seemed drying to my combination skin.

I use this every single night. This does a wonderful job of removing my makeup. I don't have to use a special eye makeup remover anymore! (I don't use waterproof makeup.) Although it does a stellar job of removing makeup, it is gentle and doesn't irritate or dry out my skin. The odd thing about this is that stores stock this face wash with the makeup, not with the other face washes.

I recently switched to a different acne cleanser (AcneFree) and it does not makeup off whatsoever, so I went to the store to try and find a pre-cleanser to my AcneFree that takes off my makeup (foundation). I picked this up, and boy it is amazing! It takes off all my face makeup and then i use my AcneFree and my face feels so tingly clean afterwards. Love this! Love the packaging too it is so cute! :)

Another great product from Neutrogena! :D I bought this a couple days ago, looking for a non-irritating cleanser. Well i found it! I use it twice a day even though some say its much to drying...
PROS:
1) The moisture! I had been using Fresh Foaming fash wash before i bought this, and it had always left a slight film on my face and didn't give me nearly as much moisture as One Step. Many people are saying how this had no moisturizing potential, as i thought that this left my skin feeling smooth and silky as a moisturizer would. I guess it just varies from skin type-to-skin type. :(
2)I love how this product lathers up and rinses after 4-5 splashes. Fresh foaming fash wash had taken longer to rinse off, i had thought.
3) I really enjoy how it feels like all the grime and dirt from the day had been washed away, and my skin feels refreshed after waking up in the morning.
CONS:
1) Meh... I usually wouldn't buy a cleanser based on its make up removing ability, but this one really doesn't do smack about removing mascara or eyeliner. The eyeshadow and primer are removed but not much else. Im not bothered by this though because i use a remover beforehand anyway.
2) The packaging. I hate how you have to waste some cleanser to close the pump! When i travel its hard to pack it up without having to try and push it down and squeeze out an entire pump or two! I wish there was just a twist it-lock type thingy instead :(
I def. recommend this to sensitive skinned people, because there is no burning or stinging involved :) Thats all!

I'm on my second bottle of this stuff - it's really awesome save for a few drawbacks. Here's the rundown:
1) Comes in a pump, which I like. You get about 5oz. for around $7-9, depending on where you go.
2) This will last a long time. You don't need a full pump for your whole face. Maybe a half a pump to even a quarter of a pump.
3) Boy, does this stuff lather...it gets really sudsy. I prefer using it in the shower because it's difficult to rinse in the sink.
4) NOT TO BE USED AS A DAILY CLEANSER. I only ever use this if I'm wearing a full face of makeup (foundation + waterproof eye products). Excellent for makeup removal, but lousy as an everyday cleanser. It'll strip your skin and make it very dry and flaky.
5) Now, as far as makeup removal goes, it's the best. It gets out my CG Lashblast and Wet N' Wild gel liner (two of my most resilient eye products) along with all foundation (I dried my face with a white towel once and there were no stains). You must do circular motions, especially over your eyes, for quite a while, but that's understandable if you're wearing heavy makeup.
6) Sucks on the waterline, because if you get it in your eyes it'll sting pretty badly. Have a seperate gentle eye makeup remover (I recommend Neutrogena's Oil Free Eye Makeup remover or Sephora's Eye Makeup Remover) and use a Q-tip for the waterline.
Overall, I keep buying it since it's the only stuff that removes my mascara and eyeliner. I wish it wasn't so terribly drying though.

This has become a favorite. I cannot use Neutrogena's eye makeup remover pads or wipes, but this cleanser gets the job done without irritating, inflaming, or stinging my skin. I don't use it every night. I use it as a shortcut after a day of "full" (for me, foundation + eyes) makeup, or else I use it twice a week as a reset button or to get a clean slate. What I really like about this is that I can use just a pea-sized drop to lather my face and neck. When I'm done, I can't find any residue of cleanser, makeup, nothing. Of course, I have to hustle to the moisturizer, but I like knowing that I have one product that gets everything off without stripping my face to the point where I need an extra day to heal. It's relatively cheap and available in any "out-of-town" drugstore (if you know to look in Neutrogena cosmetics, not cleansers). Minus one lippie because I can't travel with this pump, hygiene aside. One bottle will probably last forever, which has me puzzling over whether to stockpile or not.

I was hoping that this eye cleanser would work really well taking out, waterproof eyeliner and eye shadow eyeliner like it said on it's packaging. But its didnt work so well, its took out the visible eyeshadow but not the eye shadow liner, i had to use a cream for that, the Ponds cold creme, which was able to get everything out, and even the left residue of my make up, and I use light make-up. I would finish this make-up remover but I would'nt buy it again, sorry...

I've been using this product for years. I picked it up on a whim and have stuck with it since. I do have another for travel, though, because the pump is really impractical for that. I usually splash my face with warm water and lather this on and rinse carefully. It does a great job of taking off makeup and leaving my face clean. It usually does not sting unless you get it straight in your eye and I find the scent very pleasant. I would definitely repurchase but you only need very little and I've had the same bottle for months and months at a time. Highly recommended.

I don't know much about cleansers or eye make-up removers, however I really love this. Using a cotton ball, it takes at least two or three swipes for each eye in order to remove all traces of my cosmetics. I would reccomend this gentle, easy to use make-up remover for people who have unbudging eyeliner...no matter what eyeliner I use, this stuff takes it off without much hassle.
As for mascara, it doesn't take it off very well...if any at all.

This cleanser is great for removing makeup and sunscreen without irritating acne prone sensitive skin
Unfortunately using this every night dried out my skin

At last I found my HG cleanser!!! They better not discontinue this. This does exactly what it says, it removes all of my makeup and leaves my skin refreshingly clean. This is really gentle and does not dry out my skin nor does it leave any oily residue. It makes my skin feel so0o clean, silky and smooth. This didn't break me out at all, in fact it cleared up my skin and I can't live without it. It's a bit tricky to find in the store because they're not stocked with the other facial cleansers, instead they're stocked right next to neutrogena's makeup. I love the color of the package but i wish it had a cap instead of a pump because it's hard to pack for travel. Nonetheless, i am so happy I don't have to use makeup wipes ever again before washing my face with a cleanser because now I can just use this one-step cleanser which is specifically designed to remove makeup. It also lathers up slightly and has a light scent but is very gentle. Love it!!!

Although this did do a pretty good job in removing my makeup, it lest my skin feeling dry and stripped of its natural oil.
