I have this conditioner with it's shampoo in the litre-sized bottle. This is an excellent conditioner. It not only detangles but also softens and smoothes. I use the balm once to twice a month, which is *amazing*, but this is my regular weekly conditioner. Will continue to buy it. Joico seems to have turned my hair around :-).

My hair has been FRIED. and I do mean that in every sense of the word. I have been bleaching it platinum blonde for years, elbow lenght, and made the big mistake of putting a hot curling iron to it for about 2 months. inches have fallen off, the rest became extremely dry.

I've used everything in the drugstore without any significant results.

This however has instantly detangeled my hair, it felt very moisturizing and calming to my ends. My hair finally has some life to it.
Highly recommend trying this. I really stand by this product.

My local Marshalls always carries Joico products, look there first because the regular retail price is pretty steep.

good luck!

This is a very good conditioner. I have dry, thick, wavy hair that is color treated. This keeps it soft and shiny. My hair is easy to work with when I use this. It doesn't weigh my hair down either. It also has a very nice light scent. The only thng that I don't like is that the cap is hard to open but that is minor. I will repurchase.

For my very fine curly/wavy hair that I always use AG Recoil to scrunch into curls, I prefer the Moisture Recovery over the Smooth Cure. However, both are very heavy for my fine locks, but the Smooth Cure really pulled out the curl and weighed it down. The Moisture Recovery keeps the curl, but they are a bit flat and droopy. When I fluff my hair it looks nice, but then two minutes later, it is all weighed down again hanging too close to my head/face. I like full bodied curls. The next day my curls were still shiny but horribly dry feeling. If you are trying to deflate your hair a bit...this would be a good option. Or if you have really thick hair. But this weighs mine down just a touch more than I prefer. It also does not leave my hair feeling moisturized later...it actually feels a bit dry on the ends.

For the record, I used my Pureology Hydrate conditioner after using the Smooth Cure and my curls bounced up almost a full inch on the Pureology over the Smooth Cure...so the Smooth Cure really pulls your hair down. Again...if you have the hair I dream of (THICK), then either of the Joico products would be great for you. But they are all just too heavy for me. I still gave Moisture Recovery 3 lippies, cuz for the price (especially w/Ulta's liter sale) it is an affordable and decent conditioner. Just be careful if you have fine hair.

Just switched to this product. Very nice. I use the Joico K-Pak shampoo with this. I just use one or two pumps (I have the liter bottle) and put my hair up in a bun until I rinse. This morning I couldn't believe the shine and softness this gave my wavy, thick, color treated hair. Recommend? Definately.

I think I may have found a new HG daily conditioner!

I have very weird hair; my roots get oily + I work out a LOT, and I have dry ends. I have fine hair that is mid-back and is also virgin. I have to wash my hair everyday to get the sweat and funk out, and I heat style maybe 5 days a week (usually only blowdrying).

Lately, my hair had been in a really bad "funk": my hair felt stripped, dry, crunchy, poofy and fuzzy. I wasn't sure why, because at the time I wasn't heat styling much. I was previously using Dove's Nourishing oil conditioner, then switched to my old HG (its a 10). That made things WORSE, so I tried cone-free (L'oreal evercreme), various things at Sally's, different shampoos, and a myriad of leave-in conditioners and smoothing creams...and my hair still felt like trash.

I was flipping through some pictures of me in Vegas taken not more than 2 months prior and my hair looked so...tame. I racked my brain and wondered what products I had used, and then I realized I was using Joico Moisture Recovery Conditioner! I remember liking it, but don't remember why I stopped using it, lol!

Needless to say, I rushed out and quickly repurchased this with NO regrets. It works better AND is cheaper than my previous fav (It's a 10, which may have been reformulated). Upon the first use, I notice that my hair is SO much easier to comb in the shower that I don't need a leave-in or a detangler. This provides just the right amount of moisture I need for my hair, so my hair never feels limp or weighed down. I don't notice it building up in my hair, but I also clarify weekly so its not an issue.

Lessons learned: I won't EVER stray from this again; my hair loves cones; I think its a good value for what it does for my hair and my sanity!; and I also believe its helped to cut down on some of the other products I was using.

Love this!!!

My hair is color treated, 2b wavy, and dry. Up until a few weeks back I was using joico color therapy, constantly convinced that my hair was damaged. The outer layer was always roughed up looking, and I recently cut off 2 inches because the ends looked so bad. I had tried moisturizing conditioners and masks, but they only helped a bit. Enter this amazing stuff: omg. I am using the matching shampoo and also alternating with the balm. Total transformation. My hair was dry, not seriously damaged before. It is now supple, moisturized, smooth, shiny. I am blown away.

I love joico products! I use this in conjunction with the conditioner and it seriously transforms my hair every time I use it. I have coarse, damaged, color treated hair that's dry, so moisture is very important for it. I always notice a difference after I use these two products. Scent is clean and not overpowering. I think this shampoo by itself is average, but paired with the conditioner makes it a fantastic combo. Ever since I started used joico products, I get so much more compliments on my hair. It definitely doesn't look as dry and it feels a lot smoother.

This is a pretty average quality conditioner. Didn't work very well and didn't "hydrate" my hair as I wished. I like to blowdry my hair and have it flowing and notice that "wow" factor after using a great shampoo and conditioner and I really just didn't get it with this product.

This is definitely better than the shampoo product, as that worked horribly on my hair!
