This is a very good eyeliner. The brown is very dark but it's obviously not black. Will not budge once on so be careful when applying.I use this on my upper lid and still use yohl on the lower as I find this is too harsh under the eyes.Depends what look your after I suppose.Wouldn't recommend for water line though, would leave that to the pencils.

Love this eyeliner. It glides on smoothly and lasts all day with no smear. I had one for over two years and it still hasn't dried. Definitely worth the price.

I love the liner, with a few complains. The brush is a joke, use an angled brush! The bottle is very wasteful, having a huge space up at the top, eyeliner starts about half way down. Presumably to trick us in to thinking there is more in there than there really is. I won't be tricked. And though I think they could add a little more pigment to the liners, I still like them. They last till I get home, with minimal smudging on my eyelids. I will use till I find one better!

I really like this eyeliner. I have been trying out brown eyeliners after a few years attempting to use black and never getting the effect I hoped for. This liner goes on smoothly, lasts throughout the day and doesn't smear (I use it on my upper lashline) I like the color, it's dark enough to emphasize my eyes without being too harsh. The brush it comes with is, as others have mentioned, terrible. It seems cheaply made and it's way too flat and wide for my taste. I actually kept the brush from a Maybelline cream liner and I use that or an ELF angled brush to apply this liner.

I love, love this eyeliner! I had taken a break from cream eyeliners to save time in getting ready as I have little ones who don't give me much time! A few days ago I decided to give them a try again, so I opened my MAC fluidline & was shocked to find it all dried up and have had it about 6 months. Then I opened this Clinique one & it was smooth and creamy as the day I bought it! Big plus! The color is a nice dark brown that lasts all day on my upper lash line, not as long lasting on my waterline which is the only downside. The brush, like some others have mentioned is not that great, I use an angled brush and it works great.
The consistency is smooth & creamy, gives you enough time to smudge it if you like before it sets, I sometimes have used it as a base & it goes really nicely with my dark brown eyes and dark hair. There are no sparkles or glitter either, it is just a basic dark brown everyday eyeliner. I def. recommend and will repurchase when it runs out. continued >>

Simply put I love this product but I hate the little brush it comes with, the liner is amazing it gives you a really defined line (unlike pencils ugh) and stays on FOREVER, I'm pretty bad about leaving my makeup on all night and this liner is often still on in the morning. Also the brown color looks slightly redish in the glass but it goes on brown and I've only been using it a few weeks but it seems like this product is very long lasting, like it still looks full. As I said before though, the brush SUCKS (the handle is only like 2 inches) I just use an old eyeliner brush from Avon instead though and that one is amazing.

I love the creamy formula of this gel eyeliner it applies on so smooth! My only complaint is that is can be a bit hard to remove at the end of the day. The deep brown shade has warm reddish undertones and looks great on all eye colors especially blue eyes. I like to apply it with the Sigma E65 or the Sonia Kashuk Bent Eyeliner Brush.

Hate to be the lone dissenter, but this smudged quite a bit on my oily lids. It is creamy and goes on smoothy. Also did not care for the brown shade, itīs not quite dark enough.

There's a reason this is a mua top pick, its flawless. Legit. I'm very, very picky about eyeliners. Fluidline's not pigmented enough, Maybelline smudges worse than anything, Liquiline is patchy and not smooth, etc., etc. But this? Smooth! Creamy! Pigmented! Lasts! Natural! What more could you want!!??

I was worried when I saw this in real life it looked like a red-brown from the outside of the container. I ended up finding it at my CCO so I picked one up and it's great. On me it shows up a nice dark brown and after years of using ULTA Automatic eyeliners I found something better!
This is more the shade of the ULTA Automatic eyeliner in Black/Brown, but the line it gives you is so much sharper. Now I still use my Automatic liners on the days I know I'm not going to draw a straight line. It is easy to clean up if you make a mistake, but but why waste the time. That been said you have time to fix if need be, but it does set after a minute or two and it's staying there until you remove it.
I've been using a MAC 209se brush and pretty good with application, it's a keeper.

I like this ok. It's a nice deep brown which reads almost black on me. Which is what I want as I'm very fair and true black looks to overpowering on me. The only think I don't like is I do notice it seems to flake a little later in the day. But it doesn't seem to upset my super sensitive eyes so I guess it's a keeper.

This is the absolute best eyeliner I've ever tried! I love every thing about this liner: it's extremely pigmented, it's long lasting on both my eyelids AND waterline and the color is a beautiful alternative to black. I will repurchase :D
UPDATE: I have come to realize that this was the cause of my under eye smudging.... :|
too bad, 'cause I really liked it too. I will downgrade this to a 4 because the color was nice at first.. I will not be repurchasing.

i love this eyeliner! i think i paid Ģ13 and it has lasted for well over a year, so great value for money!
stays on without smudging for hours, the only negative
thing i would say is, it is an effort to apply it with the brush that came with it. getting the same line thickness can be tricky.
overall this is my favourite clinique product and would recommend it!

I wear this when I want a softer look to my usual Mac blacktrack. It has good staying power and is a lovely shade of brown that is soft and subtle but not too light. However the little brush that comes with it is hard to use and too thick to draw the fine lines that I prefer so I always use my Mac 266 brush instead. Nevertheless, great product and a staple for me.

This is a great medium brown. On me it dried to a black/brown shade. Still soft enough for an everyday, wear to work shade. My major complaint with Bobbi Brown's gel eyeliners is that they are all so pigmented that on me, a fair gal, they all appear just about black. I am appreciating the softer colors offered by Clinique.

Update 6/21/11: After 1 year, the cream liner didn't dry up or harden. It is still very smooth. Long-lasting, easy to apply, completely worth buying.
Bought this at The CCO for about $12. OMG, the best price for such a great cream liner. I use it daily, I love how it glides on and stays all day, will only smudge if I rub my eyes. When I first started using this, my boyfriend commented on how pretty my eyes were. He thought I did something different, and I was using Stila's smudge pots before. (I still like Stila, this is just 100X better).

I'd never used pot ELs before, but had plenty of experience with pencil and liquid. pencils don't stand out enough for me and liquids smudge and run and flake over time, so I thought this would be the happy medium for me.
Price: Inexpensive for department store makeup, but I was used to drugstore prices and was a bit wary. However, I've been able to use this EL much longer than my drugstore ones, so it is worth the money.
Color: I wanted a dark color to accentuate my eyes but my pale skin can't handle black EL. This deep brown color was perfect. Provided that you use enough product, the color is dark and not watered down looking like some other ELs I've used in the past.
Lasting Power: This is incredibly important for me as I don't touch up throughout the day. Many many ELs smudge on me. This one doesn't. My tip is to draw the line in a sweeping motion, then press the brush onto your skin, along the line you just made to make sure the product stays.
Easy to Use: Yes. A lot easier than liquid for sure! Don't be scared ladies. Only took 2-3 times of use to feel completely comfortable with it. Experiment and you'll be rewarded. Very easy and versatile-I do cat eyes, thick 60s style and thin natural line depending on what I'm wearing and how I'm feeling that day and it's never disappointed me.
Some people say that after awhile it dries up and that did happen after about 6 months of use, BUT if you put a drop or two of glycerine in the pot, stir with a toothpick and let it mix overnight (not sure if that's necessary but I thought it would help) the eyeliner is as creamy as you first bought it. Sure it might look a little funky, not as pretty and pressed, but it definitely works. Overall I give it a 4.5 (marked it as a 5) because while it doesn't smudge, it's not rub-proof. But until I find one that is rub-proof, this is my HG eyeliner.

This is the best eyeliner I've used. I thought the Jane Mineral gel liner was great until I got this one from Clinique. This goes on smooth, no skipping and it's very pigmented. Nice deep brown, no sparkle. It doesn't budge or smudge. The little brush that comes with it is okay for travel, but I prefer my ecotools angled brush for home every day use. Highly recommended!

Hands down the single best eyeliner I've ever used!!! Eyeliners have never lasted on me, even long-wearing and waterproof formulas. This stuff stays put from when I put it on until I wash it off. Once it's applied I never have to think about it! The deep brown color is perfect. Not too red, not too grey. It's dark but not so dark I may as well be wearing black. Perfect!

Another good product. Nice try but no ceegar.
I bought this but wound up using it as an eyeshadow base.. for which it works well. It is not an eyeliner. It has no durability and rubs off with any stress -- touching, scratching, or humidity.
The colors are "nice" but not spectacular. I could not begin to compare this with BB or Shu gel liners... this is a cream liner and as such will fall off and land on your face. The brush which comes with it is a joke.. a small poke your eye out little thing. Cute but not really usuable unless you want a tiny line which will rub off. It does not work on the waterline either.
What can I say.. I don't recommend this.
