When my skin really is at it's worst, I turn to this cream. I think I am on my third jar. I have horribly dry and flaky skin, which I try and keep in check by smothering it in oil and cream, but even with my current regime, I still have the odd flake out period. That is where this stuff comes in. Smother it on, preferrably on top of a facial oil, and it will do wonders. I recommend this for very dry, or upset skin.

I am using this cream after every cosmetic therapy, chemical peeling, face mesotherapy, althougth my plastic surgeon recommends Bepanthol cream by Bayer or Dermaheal post laser cream. Bepathol is very drying and Dermaheal makes my skin very shinny and is difficult to be absorbed. I found it extremely soothing and very calming. I have used it the same day after my sessions with the plastic surgeon, who was surpriced by its efficacy. Many times I use it after applying SOS serum, depending on the redness level. It is very rich in texture therefore is not recommended for combination skins. It is very effective on dry-cold windy situtuations. During the summer is very sticky, also during high levels of humidity. It is not to be a lifting or wrikle reducing cream. I love its very moisturing effect. As its name states is a really SOS cream. I always keep a jar in my cosmotics box. I have beeing using it the last five years. I think is a star product by Guerlain like Midnight cream.

I tried this product during a facial at SAKS. The day before I had gotten my face waxed and so my pale skin was slightly red and I had the dreaded little white waxing bumps. Once this was applied, my skin felt instantly soothed and all the bumps had shrunken. In two days, my skin looked flawless. While I do love this, I have yet to purchase as it is over $80+.

I have red and sensitive skin and this creme made my redness a lot better!.. Its not completely gone but better. Im more confident now showing my skin without foundation. But this creme is very greesy and thick. I use very little of it on my skin. My skin doesnt feel dry but it is very soft using this creme. I would maybe buy again if the redness will get worse after this jar but that price of the creme makes me stay away!

At first test, it went on lovely, felt cooling to the skin and moisturized really well. Within an hour, the sensitive side of my face turned really red, painful and itchy and my eye started to get aggravated (no I didn't use the cream on my eye but if my skin gets irritated, my eye tells me all about it). I couldn't wait to get home and wash it off. I use the serum (see review) which I like, but the cream, yikes. I think it is the scent - I couldn't stand the scent when I tested it, and it got worse and worse until I washed it off. How odd is that? No go for me.

I love this creme. It is meant to be a nourishing type creme targeted towards tired, stressed, and sensitive skin. I creates a moisture barrier of protections against environmental factors. I have been using this at night and under makeup. It has turned my skin around. No redness, no dry patches. It is a very rich texture, so that you are only required to use a small amount. A litle goes a long way! Goes very well under makeup.

Soothing but definitely not moisturizing enough. It might work during the summer time to calm your skin after swimming or sunbathing. However, i take very good care of my skin. So I have a really good extensive regimen after sun exposure, environmental stress, swimming, etc. Therefore, I don't need this product.

I had just moved from cold london to a hot humid country and i had really really bad skin - red, itchy, irritated skin with loads of blackheads and bumps under the skin. My usual skin is combo (oily t-zone with dry cheeks that have a tendency to flake) & gets irritated really easily.
Ba at the guerlain counter recommended this cos it was specially meant for sensitive, irritated skin. she pump some onto the back of my hands and less than a min i felt a biting sensation & i noticed the patch where the cream was had raised up and was red!! showed the ba and she couldnt believe it and re-applied it on my arm -Same problem!! i would suggest testing this out before spurging on this espeically since guerlain isnt cheap!!
texture wise - its a very fluidly light gel. meant to wear under moisturisers, like a base before anything else goes onto the skin to act as a barrier. continued >>

I had high hopes but this cream did not deliver results (at least to me). It's a squalene based cream with silicone (cyclopentaxiloxane) which claims to sooth and moisturize dry, sensitive, tired skin. As other guerlain products, it has a wonderful texture and scent, but when I used it, my skin looked off (no glow, dehydrated,tired)... It is rich but not hydrating enough for my dry skin. My skin did not react badly, but it remained as dry or even drier and sensitive. For this price I am very unhappy. If you have dry skin, definitely try a sample first.

Not suitable for acne-oily skin. After using it for one week. I have lots of closed comedos. Oily skin should stay awsy from it. It doesn't cure my irritation also. I was very disappointed:( This cream texture is very thick and greasy.

After taking up swimming again this summer (chlorine is the enemy of my skin), moving, buying a house and sending my daughter off to uni, I was stressed and my skin was certainly stressed. Even my mother noticed and told me my skin looked terrible. Dry, fragile, stressed, dehydrated.
The beautician I see recommended this after taking one look at my skin and going "ACK!".
I've used it for a week now and my skin feels much better. It really is a skin rescue cream for those times when your skin is calling out "Help! SOS! Mayday! Save me!"
It's not cheap, but if it works, it's worth it.

My skin became so sensitive after I had microderma done a few first time. I wasn't able to use anything without feeling like my face was burning.I then used this SOS and it helped. After 2 wks I was able to go back to all my normal products without having any burning sensation.
It worked for me.

I can't believe nobody else has reviewed this yet - it makes me feel like a minority shopper. It's a good product designed for fragile or weakened skin. It's good for when your skin has been exposed to the wind or sun or harsh treatments as it is very soothing and healing. I find that it has a very strong anti inflammatory effect. It calms redness amazingly well and helps to heal blemishes and any red marks. This is like a bandage for your skin. It is quite thick, but that's the idea. It gives an immediate sensation of comfort and it is very soothing. When I first bought this I had redness everywhere. About an hour after I applied this creme my skin was looking less red and then overnight the redness completely went away and I woke up with a lovely clear complexion. This is even better used with the SOS Serum which I also love. Definitely worth the price (AUD126). I will continue to repurchase this
