Ok, so I didn't buy the duo because of the price, but after 1 week of using the night cream, I went back to the counter. They don't give samples, but because I had bought the night cream, they put a little of the day cream in a container for me. On the second day of using this, my husband looked at me closely and asked what I had on my skin (this, from someone who didn't notice when I dyed my brown hair red). I was wearing no makeup at all. He said my skin had a matt, soft-focus look (he is an amateur photographer!). Well, that simply confirmed my own view (which you always wonder about: am I seeing what's really there, or what I want to see because I've bought an expensive product?). When the little pot was finished (yesterday!) I went right back and bought the full size. This was really stupid, because it cost me £50 more than if I had bought the duo set, and also you get a cute little tray for the jars with the set. I could have kicked myself for not having bought the set outright. I am 42 with acne-prone, t-zone skin, prone to red patches even though I have always looked after my skin. I have always used top-end products, so I wasn't expecting any huge change - after all, there's only so much a cream can do, right? But I have to say, I really, really like my skin - for the first time in absolute ages! Yes, I still have lines around my eyes, but they're soft, and also lines don't bother me... it was the dehydration and general icky look that was getting me down, but now my skin texture is very peachy. The SPF is a bonus, and like the night cream, this sinks in with no shine at all - just the "soft-focus" look. Of course, it's early days yet, so if my lines do disappear completely (as if!) or if I get a reaction, then I will update. For reference, previous products have been all the top-end: Revive, la prairie, creme de la mer, dr sebagh, skinceuticals, etc.
