Sour, then sweet. Orange zest melts into a deep, honeyed amber with great staying power. Delicious. After I wore this all afernoon, I had to go raid the jar of marmelade. Edited: 2008. This beautiful fragrance will soon be discontinued, but here's what's so nice about Ayala Moriel as a perfumer: discontinued never means discontinued. She will always mix up a batch of your favorite fragrance for you, even after it is no longer listed on her site. That is how I get my Democracy refills. This perfume has one of the nicest drydowns of any frangrance I know. If you are looking for a sweet, orangey amber, this fragrant labdanum-based perfume will be sure to please you. You might have to special order it, but it's definitely worth it.
