This products scent is absloutely delicious! It is so creamy and buttery (yummy) and the vanilla is amazing.Love it!!

Got the fragrance oil... love the warm, confectionary scent. The lemony scent is strong when you smell from the bottle but once in the burner, it takes the back seat.

The scent is nice but I didn't find it strong. I think I'm used to Yankee Candles stronger scents which is why I found this so light.
It has a nice vanilla smell with just a hint of frosting. The company says there's hints of lemon in it, but I don't smell any.
This scent is similar to Christmas Cupcake but slightly stronger.

Not much to be said here, only a couple of words: absolute vanilla heaven.
It's expensive alright, but it's worth it.

This candle smells so, so good. It smells exactly like a cupcake, exactly! I didn't buy the candle, but the lip balm. Now, I love Yankee Candles, but the balm was gritty and didn't moisturize.

This is my favorite Yankee Candle Scent! It's so yummy! I've purchased many of them, but I don't like how expensive they are. Also, the lid comes off of the jars too easily, and I've broken a few of them because of this. But overall, great candle!

I prefer sweeter candle scents for the cold weather months and really like this one. To me it has a yellow cake batter fragrance and does a good job filling up my small home with the fragrance. I would definitely repurchase this one.

As much as i love the scent of YC's Vanilla Cupcake, my main gripe would be that it smells ever so slightly synthetic these days. I never noticed this before, as i have been using this for a while now. To be honest, it's only a substitute for christmas cookie, which i much prefer. The throw on this isn't quite as good as many of the others but it's probably the best vanilla in the main line. If you like this, you'll love christmas cookie!

This is one of my favorite Yankee Candles!! I tried Buttercream first as they both kinda smelled the same to me. But for whatever reason, no matter what room or how long I burned it, could not get any sort of decent scent out of that candle. Now Vanilla Cupcake is another story. I burn this in my kitchen all the time, and that is open to my family room. It resonates a great, warm, sweet smell. Not too sweet though, that its nauseating but just warm and cozy. I saw other reviews on the smell being too strong, I don't find that the case for me but I am burning in a very large open space. I will continue to purchase this!

Smells just like a vanilla cupcake but gets old quickly. The fragrance can get too overwhelming, too stuffy and sweet. At times I felt nauseated by it – gross, as if I had just had a huge dinner, followed by a sheet of cupcakes. There are way too many vanilla fragrances out there to get hung up on this one.

This is my favorite candle from Yankee! It smells incredible. It's nice and sweet and really does smell like a vanilla cupcake. It's not overpowering, yet you can smell it. Perfect! I can't say anything bad about this one and highly recommend it. Yankee candles can be pricey for some of the larger sizes, but they really do smell great and last a long time!

One of my favorite candles from YC. I love how the warm, sweet smells fill the room and it smells like you just finished baking cupcakes and smothered them with frosting.

The reason I said that I would not buy this product again is because vanilla is very popular and there are soooo many candles to pick from that smell like yummy vanilla. Vanilla cupcake smells like...well, vanilla cupcake: sweet and sugary. Throw was excellent in my medium-sized bedroom - I burnt a medium jar. This particular fragrance does get "boring" after a while, maybe because it's so heavy sweet and, I'm afraid, to sensitive noses it may be a bit too strong.

This smells really good. I bought a bigger size but it melted during my move and Yankee Candle told me to bring it and they'll give me a new one for free. Fantastic service! I'm getting a bit bored of the scent though, so I'll try something new next time.

This candles smells so yum! And they're not the cheapest, but you can get them and Bed Bath and Beyond with a 20% off coupon and they're not bad!

I have burned this in different sized candles & tarts and all have been consistently strong! I prefer this over YC Buttercream as it's more of a gooey yellow cake batter scent. Not quite as good as AZW Pink cupcake (that one is to die for) but this is the closest I have found. I burn this all year round and have no complaints about it being artificial smelling whatsoever. If you've been disappointed in the past with the Buttercream scent, give this one a try. Especially if you are a fan of vanilla baking scents. I agree with some of the other reviews, it does take some time for the scent to build up, but when it does, it is fantastic! The candle smells like yellow cake batter. I used this a lot over the winter and my husband and kids loved it!

Vanilla Cupcake is currently my all-time favorite Yankee Candle. The description on the web site is true to what you get when you bring the candle home: "The rich, creamy aroma of vanilla cupcakes with hints of lemon and lots of buttery icing." What I love about Vanilla Cupcake is that after it's been burning for a bit, the air literally smells like the best cupcake batter ever. This candle has a great throw, and can fragrance a large room in any house. The candle jar is decorated with a festive vanilla cupcake, and the large size jar lasts FOREVER. At $23.99, I feel that the largest size Housewarmer Jar candles are reasonably priced. I would definitely buy a Vanilla Cupcake candle again.

I got this as a housewarming gift from one of my bff's and I love it. :) True, the scent is very light when you first burn it, but I usually leave it burning for a few hours and it fills my dining room, kitchen, and living room with a yummy baked cupcakes scent. It might be more economical to buy your candles on eBay or just get the tarts of this, though.

This candle smelled so good in the store but I was hesitant to spend $20 plus dollars on a candle. So I went back and forth about it for a month before I gave in and bought two of these in the 22oz size and I was literally shocked when I lit them and didn't smell anything. I couldn't believe it! I let them stand for a few hours and still nothing so my advice to you is to pass on this candle because it's a complete waste of cash.
