i got this as a sample when i bought the enzyme cleanser, i was initially delighted that it was spf30 as well as oil free. but after putting it on and going about my day, the 90F temp made me sweat and the runoff absolutely BURNED my eyes so badly i had to go home and wahs my face. later i had to buy an anti itch and allergy eye drops to get the burning sensation out of my eyes! i had no other make up or lotion on that day so im pretty sure this was the culprit.

This is the first moisturizer for me that has not made me breakout or make my face extra oily. I have combo/oily skin and this actually helps to keep my skin's oil production at a minimum. I noticed that when I don't wear this moisturizer, my skin ends up being oilier than when I have it on. The only drawback is that I wish it was in better packaging, maybe a pump or something.

-mb botanical facial gel
-mb glycolic acid toner
-mb oil free moisturizer spf 17
~then 1-2x a week i use the glycolic skin renewal complex and azulene calming mask.
this is a great moisturizer. goes on smooth &absorbs quickly, and doesn't leave any kind of greasy feeling behind. my face feels hydrated throughout the day. this has been another good investment for me &my skin :) continued >>

A terrible product which gave me clogged pores and major breakouts! This has dispelled my belief that an oil free moisturizer would not cause breakouts.

I needed a nice and basic moisturizer with spf to use under my makeup and this fit the bill. It is a decent moisturizer without being greasy or causing any clogged pores. It isn't loaded with a lot of chemicals and doesn't have a strong smell. I wish it had a higher spf, but this will do for when I'm indoors or doing light errands around the city.

This product is pretty expensive for how little it is. The bottle makes it hard to control how much comes out. And it made me break out horribly. Since it's oil free, I'm guessing it was because of the SPF, but I've never had that problem with any other product containing SPF, so maybe it was some other ingredient.
It did make my skin feel good the first few days, but then I woke up with really oily skin and acne.

I have only been using this for two weeks and I really like it so far. I have very oily acne prone skin and use alot of drying creams and stuff, so a good moisturizer is crucial. I was a skeptic at first seeing how incredibly thick this seems when you put in in your hand. However after you rub it in your skin, and it takes a little bit to absorb, it is not heavy or greasy at all. It makes your skin feel very soft and smooth, almost like a primer. This has not caused any breakouts or skin irritations at all. And my skin is extremely prone to breakouts. Moisturizes great. I also Love that it has an spf 17 which is just enough protection.

I really like Mario Badescu products. I'm glad I chose to purchase this as my day moisturizer, especially because of its SPF. Unfortunately, it's a low SPF. Other than that, the moisturizer is thick, creamy, and fully absorbs within 10-15 minutes. It hasn't given me any new breakouts whatsoever, and I have combination/oily skin. However, I really dislike the packaging. Because the moisturizer is thick, it dries up and hardens quickly in the nozzle of the cap so I cannot squeeze any out without making a mess! I would give this product 5 lippies if it weren't for the horrible packaging quality. However, I will still repurchase when I run out.

I am very pleased with this product. It's light weight and non greasy, so it's never caused my skin a problem. I tend to break out if someone even looks at me the wrong way! The spout does clog sometimes, but that's not a huge deal. I like that there is no scent and it doesn't sting my skin like some products with sunscreen tend to do.

This is my first time wearing this but I have to say it truly is non-greasy. I'm not having the same shiny-faced expereience that some of you are having. It feels kind of weird on the face, but soothing, and almost primer-like. I'll continue to use until it's gone but my gripe about it is the low SPF content. I also use Biore's Dual Fusion SPF 30 moisturizer and am loving the SPF protection from it.

This is a nice product. I've used other oil-free moisturizers with SPF, and I've always felt that they left my skin greasy (despite being oil free), that they didn't absorb well, or that they had a distinctive and unappealing "sunscreen" scent that lingered. However, I didn't have any of these problems with this moisturizer. In fact, it's the only SPF moisturizer that I've ever really liked, and the only one I've used that I would repurchase.
My only complaint is that I have this in the sample-size, and it is so hard for me to get the thing open! The jar is tiny, so I can't get a good grip and sometimes it goes flying out of my hands. MB, please do something about your packaging!

I haven't had much luck with other MB products, but I love this moisturizer. It's light, absorbs well, does not leave me greasy, or aggravate my acne. And as one reviewer said, it lasts a long time (although one bottle did not quite last a year for me) and a little goes a long way. The spout does sometimes clot, but otherwise I like the package design. The clots can also be squeezed out, and if you kind of mush it in your fingers (sounds gross, I know), then it turns back into its regular consistency.

I got this as a sample, which is fortunate since it didn't work for me. The moisturizer itself was okay going on, no smell, not too thick, seemed alright. However, it didn't seem to soak in all the way, which is a problem with a lot of moisturizers, lucky me with my oily skin. It just left me with a yucky, greasy feel the rest of the day. I gave it another chance the next day, I figured if I still didn't like it I could at least use up the generous sample. The final nail in the coffin was the third day, when I woke up with one of the worst breakouts in recent memory. Obviously, I didn't rush over to the computer to buy a bottle.

This moisturizer is light, unscented, and one of the few that doesn't aggravate my acne (I have oily skin w/occasional hormonal zits). I find the moisturizer soaks into my skin nicely without a greasy feeling. One bottle lasts me about a year (is that just me?) which makes it highly cost-effective. The SPF 17 is a nice bonus. My only complaint is that the cream tends to solidify and form clots. Whenever I squeeze the bottle, the product takes a while to come out, and then I get too much. This happens often with Mario Badescu's packaging. It's annoying, but nothing that will stop me from buying again.

Love this stuff! On Retin-A micro for adult acne, looking for moisturizers that are oil-free with an SPF - this fits the bill and sinks nicely into my skin, leaving it feeling natural, soft and smooth. Been using it for almost a year.

Okay, yes, I did try just a sample of this. But my opinion/reason for not liking it would not change if I simply used more! The moisturizer is extremely thick, almost a paste, which feels gross to me when I apply it. It does absorb quickly, I will give it that. Almost too quickly actually; you have to rub it in fast! No real scent to speak of, so it's not unpleasant except the texture.
Once absorbed, my skin is not left feeling greasy, but not totally matte either. Hard to describe but it feels almost waxy. The next morning however I did feel more greasy than usual, so I think this is too heavy for me.
Based on my experience with the sample I would not purchase. continued >>

I'm really happy with this product as its light, easily absorbed and I can apply makeup on top of it with no problems.
I have tried other moisturizers with SPF and have found them too heavy and most often clog up my skin and cause break outs.
My skin still feels fresh, not heavy or oily end of the day.
I have used this product for about 3 months now and have had no problems with breakouts or any irritation.
