I'm a big fan of all Lush products, and have tried most of the skin care. I don't really have dry skin a lot, and before when I tired this a year ago it did nothing for me at all. I recently got really dry skin this winter and decided to try this again for a more natural moisturizer. On my dry skin, this made my skin really greasy, even after I waited 10-15 minutes for it to soak in. I decided to give it more of a chance and used it for the next week until I noticed my forehead and chin breaking out with small red pimples, they were everywhere! As soon as i discontinued use of this product they went away. It did nothing for me and broke me out, so i will not repurchase, which is a disappointment because I am fan of Lush.
I got Skin Drink as a free sample after purchasing a few other Lush items. I wasn't expecting much as I am pretty set in my face cleansing and moisturizing routine. However, after trying Skin Drink, I think I am honestly in love.
I really adore how it makes my skin feel so soft and supple--a definite must for the winter. I don't have very many wrinkles but for the fine lines around my mouth, I dab a little (and I mean a little) of SD on and it is like they disappear!
I know the smell is a point of concern for many users but for me it really wasn't too bad. It doesn't really smell like soy sauce to me but more of a clay mixed with sesame oil type scent. It isn't a smell I love but I can definitely live with it for how well it works on my skin.
I use it as a night time cream as it is a bit heavy. I generally prefer a lighter moisturizer for day time.
The color is a light brown color and it is almost the same shade as my skin (unheard of in make up/skin care products) and so I barely notice it when I put it on. However, I doubt that the color of the product leaves much residue or discolors your face. It seems like most of it absorbs into your skin after awhile.
Also, the product lasts forever! I have only started using SD and the sample they gave me (which could have only been a pump or two of the dispenser at the store) has lasted a bout a week. And I'm one of those gals that tends to get a little overzealous about moisturizer application.
I'm definitely going to be purchasing Skin Drink as a regular part of my skin care regime.

While this may only be the second day of using this product I can already say I've had much better luck with Skin Drink than Celestial. Celestial for some reason broke me out and made my skin inflamed but Skin Drink soothes my skin and actually sinks in deep into the skin.
There isn't a feeling much nicer than your skin feeling AND actually being plump, smooth and moisturized. My skin drinks this stuff up! I feel beautiful and the light wrinkles I have seem to be smoothed down a little. There is no irritation (surprisingly because Celestial is meant for sensitive skins) and my skin looks radiant and....clear??? YES! Not only has Skin Drink replenished my long lost moisture Celestial couldn't do, but it also cleared up my topical dermatitis on my face that Celestial caused!!
I wonder why that is, considering Skin Drink lists Perfume at the bottom of the list and Celestial is without perfume, which I am allergic to. Whatever is going on, all I can say is it's MAGIC! This performs as well as Hope in a jar for Dry Skin to me and is half the price. I think I will be sticking with Skin Drink for quite some time!!! Lovely product! And it really isn't as greasy as some others may say. I would also recommend waiting 5-10 minutes to apply makeup after this as it is rich but it all depends on how dry your skin is, you be the judge. However I declare this amazing!!
Also I love Skin Drink because it doesn't contain Lavender like Imperialis does. Lavender is cytotoxic (it kills skin cells) so scrubbing my face and applying something cytotoxic seems like the worst idea ever!! I am happy with my Skin Drink.
Some other MUA users say Skin Drink smells like seseme, soy sauce and other things. I would definitely agree about the seseme scent as Seseme oil is the second ingredient but I smell no soy sauce. I personally don't mind the smell (I love Tahini, seseme paste) so it's fine with me.
The black pot is so-so as it isn't the most hygenic. I wish all lush moisturizers came in the tester pumps they carry in stores! This doesn't affect how I feel about the performance of the product, as a lot of people judge Lush's products for the packaging and not even how the products work!!

Skin Drink saved my skin. Really. I have the most sensitive, dry, acne-prone skin on EARTH and I was just done with trying to make drugstore brand moisturizers work. They either (a) never worked well - my skin was still dry as heck (b) broke me out BAD (c) made my face burn from all the harsh ingredients. But, Skin Drink? MY SAVIOR.
For YEARS, I mean YEARS, I tried looking for something, anything, that would make my dry skin go away. Nothing worked. NOTHING. I tried Aveeno, CeraVe, Olay, Jergens, Neutrogena, Philosophy, Clean and Clear, Clearasil, EVERYTHING. Finally, my dry skin just disappeared with Skin Drink.
It is quite greasy and it takes about 10 minutes to soak in, but trust me, it is SO worth the wait. It's really made for very dry skin so the grease isn't really a problem for people with that skin type. Any other skin type however, I could understand the issue. But it IS made for dry skin.
The smell is actually quite nice even though people often say that it smells really bad. It just smells nutty or like peanut oil. I actually like it.
The color also isn't a problem. Soaks right in.
Love, love, LOVE.

Its a 50/50 on this one. It does moisturise reasonably well. However I found it to be thick and greasy. It also took a while to sink into the skin and the smell is quite ordinary. I would liken it to soy sauce mixed in with peanut oil and something else.
Not a particularly nice or fantastic moisturiser, however I think I will get more use out of it in the winter months.

I use this at night before going to bed since it doesn't have SPF. It's very heavy but blends in nicely. I keeps my skin hydrated in these long, dry, winter months better than all of the other moisturizers I use. It doesn't have the greatest smell, but it isn't terrible in any way. If most moisturizers leave you wanting more, then this product is for you but beware! it is rather pricey...

Great moisturizer for dry, scaley winter skin! I was a bit nervous when I first picked this up as my skin is not what I'd describe as classically dry. I was oily as a teenager, oily/combo in my early 20s and have started to lean combo dry over the last 4-5 years especially during the winter. After years of neglecting to add a moisturizer to my regular routine, I started finding myself in a state where nothing seemed to work in combating the uncomfortable, dry tightness in my forehead and temples. I'd spend all winter long looking for a moisturizer that worked well with my skin, only to give up in March when the weather started warming up and my skin stopped being so dry. This year, I finally decided to give Skin Drink a try. I wasn't sure what to expect as this moisturizer is marketed toward seriously dry skin and felt really heavy when I tested it out in the store. And it is heavy and oily feeling, but thankfully a little goes a long way and it sinks in pretty well after a few minutes. I've been using it for a month now at night (it's a bit much for day time use for me, especially under makeup) and it's neither broken me out or made my skin any greasier. It's just made my skin smoother and softer during a part of the year when things can get pretty uncomfortable, and this is the first year in ages where my skin hasn't felt unpleasantly dry all winter long.
This isn;t my favorite moisturizer by any means. It smells awful (like wet cardboard!) and feels greasy and heavy going on, and I'll be happy to switch back to my "normal" moisturizer in the spring. But as a treatment type moisturizer, it's great. It definitely cures what ails me.

OMG! I love this moisturizer! Its so much better than Cetaphil or any other brand. I've been searching for a moisturizer for ever and I wasted so much money on expensive brands like Sephora cream, and Chanel.
Lots of people say that the smell is bad. But I actually learned to love it. At first I thought the smell was unpleasant but after it sinks into your skin, the smell is minimal to almost gone!
The packaging that LUSH packs them in are a bit cheap for 25.70 CAD (including tax)
I would buy this product again, and recommend it to people who suffer from extremely dry dry dry dry dry dry dry dry dry dry dry dry dry dry dry dry dryyyyyy skin!!!!!!!

Picked this up when Lush was selling sample pots of all their moisturizers for about 3.95 each.
Woooow, I love this moisturizer so much! The cold weather has left my skin dry and somewhat flakey but after about a week of using this my skin feels so soft. :D
I admit I'm not a fan of the smell but for what it does for my skin I can definitely look past that.
While it is fairly pricey, in my opinion, I find a little goes a long way. It's a very rich cream so I didn't need to use much to get the benefits (although it varies from person-to-person, obviously).
This will now be my permanent winter moisturizer and once my sample pot runs out, I will definitely buy it again.
This is my HG moisturizer! I have dry/combo skin. I use this after I wash my face w/Aqua Marina. I then use Eau Roma Water and apply Skin Drink to my face. I can use this morning and night. When I wake up the next morning, I'm left with a revived complexion everytime! I've noticed a significant change to my face using this cream. It soaks right in and my face is so soft, not greasy at all. A little also goes a long way. I have less breakouts, and my face looks better than it has in years! LUSH please don't stop making this!!!
