I think this is a nice, not overly sweet vanilla. It's not too powdery or spicy. Nice but not nice enough to purchase as I like vanilla but I don't love it. If you're a vanilla lover, give it a try.

I received a sample of this from a sweet and generous swapper. The sample is tiny but it was full to the brim and just enough to try a few times and see if this one was for me. Let's start by saying that Vanilla has never been a perfume note I favored and looked for in fragrances. However, lately, I've been warming up to it and enjoying it as part of the composition of some of the fragrances I find are the most exotic and winter like in my stash. This is a simple vanilla. No show. No pomp and circumstance. Just a slightly powdery vanilla that seems to have, at least to my nose, some orange undertones. Some spice. It could turn, I guess, a bit "old lady-ish" if for a nice dry down that sort of saves the day at the last minute and makes it approachable and sweet. Not TOO powdery. I won't purchase this one but if you are looking for a no frills, well priced vanilla scent this might be it. The bottle is old fashioned and tasteful. The price is right ($30)
