I started purchasing more Professional Solutions products after buying, and being very impressed by, the Sal/Gly Kit of theirs. The Squalane was one of the items that came in the kit. This is directly from their site: Squalane is a natural extract found in olive oil originally discovered in Japan. It has been shown to have beneficial effects in the treatment of dermatitis. Natural Squalane may be applied at any time to provide extra moisture to the skin. Squalane is an extremely beneficial extract found in olives. Scientific studies have proven that a deficiency of Squalane results in excessive dry skin and premature aging. Effectively heals skin, decreases dryness, and smoothes wrinkles and scaly patches. It is a clear and odorless oil. It is far too oily for me to use in the daytime (or mainly when I wear makeup) but I us it at night with the 100% Pure Hyaluronic Moisturizer and it makes my skin so soft and moisturized. I’ve tried q few other “oil” moisturizers (like emu oil for instance.) but they all caused me to break out in cystic pimples. This Squalane doesn’t cause me to break out at all though and I’ve been using it for almost a year now. Also, while it comes it a small once oz jar, It lasts forever since I just use a few drops at night. I think this would be HIGHLY beneficial for someone who suffers with very dry flaky skin. Anyway, I will continue it use it because it is provides very intense moisture to my skin overnight while I sleep. It’s amazing and I really recommend people who like to use oil based moisturizers (like the emu and jobba oil) to try this out.
