I LOVE this scent so much. One of my top favorites hands down. To me it's more of a late summer/early fall coconut scent. It smells too toasty and warm to be a summer scent and too coconut based to be worn in the fall. When you wear it to transition into fall it's awesome. I'm running out of this and I'm actually sad lol

I've had this lotion sitting around forever in my stash but I've only just gotten around to using it. I'm glad I did, though, because I love this scent! It's a more natural-smelling coconut scent than many other products. It still has a little bit of a fruity smell to it, but overall this is a very warm coconut scent that isn't overpowered by fruity or floral notes. I think the smell is great for all seasons. Coconut is usually seen as a more summery smell, but since this is a warmer scent, it's also great for the fall and winter. The smell is quite strong, which I love, but if you prefer your lotion to have a lighter fragrance, this one might not be the best for you.
As far as the consistency, it's not too light or greasy, but it's not as thick as a body butter. I have normal skin, and it works well to keep me soft and hydrated throughout the day.
Definitely recommend to coconut lovers!

Exotic Coconut is one of my favorite scents ever...but I don't love the whole line of products. For some reason, the scent in the lotion is STRONG. Like, really super strong. I still enjoy the scent once it's calmed down a bit, but it's just too much in the lotion. I stick to the cream and body butter. Other than that, I love the toasted coconut scent—it has a touch of sweetness without being too sweet, and there aren't other scents overwhelming the coconut. Just a subtle, gorgeous toasted coconut scent. P.S. Weirdly enough, I hate the taste of coconut. I also hate the beach. But I love coconut scents. Who knows?

This scent is strong and over whelming but, I like it. I used to live in an apartment where people smoked and this helped mask the smell. So I grew to like it.

All I got from this was a suntan lotion smell and some plastic play-doh fumes. Pass.

Reading through the reviews here, I guess I'm not the only one that had a strange reaction to this lotion.
I don't have sensitive skin at all, but this lotion made my skin BURN so badly! It felt like heat was radiating through my skin - it was the oddest sensation ever. I have used tons of different lotions, including ones from BBW, and never experienced anything like this. Very strange, although it does make me feel better than I'm not the only one that had this reaction. In the trash it goes.

I got this lotion as a gift not long ago, I`m not fond of coconut scented things and this was no exception. I liked how it moisturized my skin and how creamy it was. But the smell was overwhelming to me, and after I used it I would smell very strongly of the lotion which is something I wasn`t very happy with. I prefer other scented lotions from Bath and Body Works but this one was a little bit too strong for me. Over all not a bad product.

For me the lotion is not that emulsifying (not good as a hand lotion) but it's great for layering after the shower gel and before the body spray. I agree with another reviewer on the plastic-like undertone to this lotion but I don't mind it as one of my favorite fragrances (Parisienne) has a "vinyl' undertone that works for me.

i bought this on sale in the states and it smells amazing! the smell reminds me of being on the beach with a cocktail :) this is the butter so it is very thick to the point that i have had bumps on my skin because of it so i use it during the winter when i need the extra hydration. However the consistency is nice and the smell is great

mmmm... It smells like wonderful summer and beaches! I love coconut and this doesn't disappoint. It a warm and sun kissed scent. If you like coconut or tropical scents you'll love this! Wonderful!

I live in England and unfortunately its pretty hard to find BBW to buy here, so I bought Exotic Coconut Shimmer Mist from Ebay and simply loved it. It does smell exactly like real fresh coconut, without being too much sweet. For me, after trying many different kinds of coconut fragrances, this is the best ever. Highly recommended and I will definetely buy again :)

My faaaaaaavorite coconut fragrance! I can't believe they took this out of stores, but at least you can still purchase it on the website. I get a lot of compliments on this one, too... even from my Marketing professor! lol

So I am kind of on the fence with this product, it's an almost bitter smelling true Coconut scent. I get a plastic like undertone to this lotion as well. I guess why Exotic Coconut smells bitter to me is that I smelt Creamy Coconut prior to it, which is a vanilla/pineapple/coconut scent. I suppose this isn't bad, it just isn't a sweet foody type of coconut, but for those who are looking for a suntan lotion type of coconut, then I would definitely recommend this.

This lotion is everything I ask for: Great fragrance, just enough moisturizing for the spring/summer, and quick absorption. It layers well with the EDT and I enjoy the combination as an everyday fragrance. I purchased several bottles at this year's semi-annual sale because this scent has become a signature for me.

I generally dislike coconut scents but I have found this to be the exception. This has a classic coconut scent but with a nice vanilla/buttercream undertone that compliments it nicely. I will be wearing this a lot this summer and would repurchase.

Usually I like coconut scents if they smell natural (like Skin Trip by Mountian Ocean), but this just didn't do it for me. To me, this smells strong, synthetic, cheap and fake. Something about it just seems very 'off' (maybe because, like others have mentioned, it smells so strong). What more can I say, I didn't like this at all and would not buy it again. I do like the idea of just coconut with no other scent mixed in, but I wish it just wasn't so artificial smelling. .

I picked this up at the last BBW sale without checking the reviews first. I just love coconut smell and was set on trying it regardless. Very happy I bought it. The smell is amazing; true coconut with a hint of vanilla. It is non-greasy and absorbs fast. I do wish it was more moisturizing, but than again, I have very dry skin so don’t judge by me. Would repurchase again! I prefer this scent and feel to the Body Shop one that was twice as expensive!

Ehh I really wanted to like this, but I'm so weird with coconut scents. I guess I like more manufactured coconut scents, because this is a very natural smell. It's not unpleasant in any way but it's just not my favorite. However, it is very moisturizing and non-greasy, just like all of B&BW's lotions. This is probably one of my favorite scents, not only from BBW but in general, I would pick this over perfume anyday! It's so soft, and the cream is wonderful! I'm surprised it's not as popular as the creamy coconut --- too bad this has been d/c.
