Blue is supposed to balance orange. I have a very strong yellow undertone, with a fair amount of sun in summer I appeared orangy, with the rest of my body on the fair/pale side. Applying the lightest/fairest shade of foundation is always an option but will left me looking ashy and weird. I guess correcting the undertone will be a better option and I'm glad I bought this. A tiny amount totally brightened up my complexion without looking fake or heavy. Since most of these tinted/corrective base foundation has a silvery undertone so the trick is to apply foundation on top to even out the colour or else you will look funny.
