LOVE this cream...but only in the winter! Since my skin gets oily in the humid summer, this is just too thick and creamy for me. Last summer I switched to Kiehl's Oil-Free Ultra Facial Gel for the summer, and it was ok. But my skin loves this cream in cold, windy climates. I don't use very much, maybe a dime-size amount to cover my face and neck area. Since I switch this out during the summer, I don't have the problem where my face gets 'used' to the cream.
The only problem for me is that it contains parabens...but I love this cream, so I'm torn!

I love this facial cream.it has been a godsend since i relocated to the southwest deserts. It does an excellent job moisturising my dry,flakey, eczema prone skin.no more flakey patches when i use this

THE best cream!!! I have been using it for 3 years now and still am happy with it. However I gave it 4 stars because you have to take a break from it after 2~3 bottles.
I have problem with dehydration and dryness in my cheek areas. I've tried all the famous 'hydration' products and until I found Keihls, nothing really worked. After 1 month of using this product, everyone started complimenting on how good my skin looked. Some even asked if I've been getting work done on my face!
As a result my mum, aunty and most of my friends are now using this cream.
The only negative thing I've noticed is that after about 2~3 bottles, it begins to loose it's effect (apparently your skin can get used to a product and not react to it any more). My friends have noted this too.
So what I now do is after about 2~3 bottles, I use a different moisturiser and then go back to Kiehl and it works perfectly again!

I've been using the little sample pot of this for the past 2 weeks, in conjunction with Smashbox BB cream, and my skin has been just the best ever... not exactly sure which of the 2 products is the most responsible for it, but my skin looks totally even, no breakouts, small pores, and stays just nice and matte and great looking even at the end of the day. I noticed many reviewers don't like the jar packaging, but I prefer it actually because you can get out every last bit of product, unlike a tube where you have to fight to get the last bit out. I wash my hands before applying, so it doesn't seem unhygenic to me. I got a sample when buying a birthday gift for a friend, and 2 weeks later bought another friend the same Kiehl's lip gloss as a birthday gift, and scored another sample, to keep me going for another couple of weeks :)

I really do like this cream. I bought it when I was traveling because my skin was feeling dehydrated and dry. Umped my skin up quickly. But the only thing I don't like its that it contains parabens very sad that it contains it, thats why I won't be repurchasing it.

I love this cream. I love how it's so light, and it doesn't have any other ingredients that would otherwise make this cream 'anti-aging' or 'sun protection' or 'whitening' etc. It's just a simple moisturizing cream. Love the simplicity and how it does its job so well. It really moisturizes, I don't break out no matter how much I may pile this on my face, and I can use it day and night. It absorbs into the skin quickly, very light so it can be used underneath makeup. No fragrance so it's perfect. One thing I would have to pick at would be the JAR CONTAINER. I hate it, why couldn't it be in a squeeze tube or something?! Very unhygenic so I have to be very self-aware while I'm around this product. But otherwise, HOLY GRAIL!

This is one of my favorite moisturizers ever. I tried hundreds and lots of really expensive once, but this one just do the job! It really leaves my skin nicely and hydrated.
Really a great product as it's so cheap compared to so many other brands!!

I first started using this product because I got a sample. I have fairly sensitive, acne-prone skin and was a little worried as to how this product would affect me. I also found that with the few acne products I had been using, my skin was very dry in certain areas. After using this product, I must say that I LOVE this as a daily moisturizer. Although it's a "cream", it does not leave a greasy feeling and is light to the touch. I did not experience any breakouts or irritation at all. Once my sample was done I ran out to the nearest Kiehl's store and bought the full sized tub! My skin is now well balanced with hydration and I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a great moisturizer.

I received this as a sample when I purchased the Kiehl's Tinted Moisturizer in Medium, which I am unsure about. The moment I applied this moisturizer onto my face I knew it was something different. I haven't tried many moisturizers in my life, but wow this changed my life. Being 16 years old, I can't afford to purchase this, but I got my to mom, and for the most part she likes it. My older sister applied some and she said she would because it got her boyfriend to compliment her. But on to the actual product.. I'd apply this at night and wake up in the morning to feel my skin supple and incredibly soft. There isn't any special about this; in the sense that it's not supposed to make you appear 10 years younger, but the texture of your skin will improve. I especially recommend this product for those with dry skin. This product is amazing!

This moisturizer is perfect! In my opinion is total value for money. i'll definitely repurchase it. I also use the ultra facial toner and cleanser.

I really like this product because it's pretty cheap compared to other moisturizers and it actually hydrates. I live in a colder climate where my skin gets flaky in the summer. My skins feels hydrated for the whole day after applying this in the morning. I like how it's unscented which doesn't irritate my skin.

This is a no nonsense hydrating moisturiser which sinks in instantly and leaves skin hydrated all day long.

I have really dry skin and this product is great. Many cleansers use to dry my face out like crazy but I never have to fear that anymore after using this. You dont really need pack it on. It goes on really smooth and doesnt really have a fragrance. I would not use this if you have really really oily skin because it does moisturize well.

I've asked for a sample from Kiehl's since this is a star product. The texture is very thick and non liquid at all, kinda like vaseline gel..it is oily on my t zone and nose in the next morning, which is a 'fail' for me as moisturiser..however the skin feels soft after application. It is a so-so product for me. It is more suitable for cold climate compared to tropical county where i live in. Now im using it as my lip balm and i think it does a very good job in keeping my lips moisturised and soft.

basic moisturizer that is not thick; imo it is best suited for normal skin types - it did not seem to moisturize my dry spots/patches well during the winter season. imo it does absorb easily into the skin and does not seem to clog pores.

A decent basic moisturizer for a good price but nothing special. My biggest complaint is that the jar leaks every time I travel with it. I bought the big jar and within a month it was half empty because so much of it leaks out each time. For someone who travels as much as I do this kind of makes it a deal breaker.

First of all, the packaging is unhygenic and ugly. Looks like some medical cream from the chemist. But it's okay, I don't mind bad packaging as long as the product works! But this does not! After using this product for 3 days, it made my skin blotchy and red!! It definitely irritated my skin and I wouldn't recommend it :(
I was quite surprised to be honest because I thought Kiehl products were supposed to be suitable for sensitive skin types...I think it might be this specific cream that irritates my skin because I've used Kiehl's skin firming concentrate and I had no bad reaction before. But this has actually made me very turned off against purchasing from Kiehls again in the future.
Don't buy this! Or at lease request some testers to try out on your skin before investing in this. I'm upset I wasted money on this....sigh

i've bought this a while ago and was definitely not for me! Stung my sensitive and dry skin a lot and turned my face super red!! really don't like it...makes my skin itchy too! if you have sensitive skin...DO NOT get this!

For the price, this is totally worth it. It is very moisturizing and hasn't caused any breakouts. It has a really nice texture and a little goes a long way. It costs about $23 USD for 50ml, which is not much more than a cheaper drugstore brand. It has some nice ingredients in it that bind moisture to the skin. I layer it over Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus anti-aging serum and my skin looks great. FYI, this cream does not contain sunscreen so you need to add that. I use Clinique City Block Sheer SPF 25 on top of this cream.
EDIT: After a few weeks of using this, I started to break out. I switched back to Clinique Youth Surge moisturizer.

I love the texture of this cream not thick and absorb fast leaving my face super soft and smooth. This cream is good for hydrated not a magic cream that will erase fineline and wrinkle. I know that it expensesive cost me $46 for 4oz but you don't need alot for this cream to cover up your face. I used the whole line of the Ultra Facial line. I have normal skin that have a little occasional breakout if you know what i mean. Doesn't caused any new breakout or rashes. I would love to buy this cream again. Update:01/19/12 still love it and still have alot left. Used everyday a great cream.
