I bought this out of desperation - I've been on a seemingly endless search for a sunscreen for the body to replace my former-HG Neutrogena Spray w/ Helioplex. (I loved how convenient it was. It didn't leave my skin feeling too greasy, and it had great sun protection. Unfortunately, I wound up having an allergic reaction one of the ingredients (broke out in a hive-like rash) and the avobenzone stained my leather car seats.)
So since then, I've been searching to no avail for an avobenzone-free sunscreen mist for the body. Apparently making a sunscreen that offers excellent protection, mists on (w/o rubbing, thank you very much) and doesn't contain avobenzone or other stain-causing ingredients is about as easy as making a side-effect free weight loss pill.
I bought this as a stop-gap measure for the winter when I would only be getting occasional incidental sun exposure to my body. I would love it if Coppertone could make this into a broader spectrum sunscreen. Give it an SPF of 30. Hel1, I'd even settle for SPF 15. But w/ an SPF of only 10, I can't really justify repurchasing. So the search continues.

I keep on buying this stuff, but I have mixed feelings about it.
I like the glisten it gives me & the vague feeling that I am "protecting" my skin (oh who am I kidding? I like the dry oil feature).
I like also the refreshing mist ( that normally at least 70% ends up on my husband & other innocent people around me)
But it leaves my hands feeling oddly sticky, and I know it's gotta be drying my skin out.(example, trying to help smooth it in and your skin or the fine coating of this stuff crmbles in your hand ) And I agree with the other reviewer, I feel like my skin got all tight and wierd. Plus while I adore the Coppertone smell, this is an odd version of it.
Until I find something better, I'll stick with it. I love ease off application, although I do feel like I go through a can very quickly ( and I use only on my legs usually) ( but then again see comment on husband) And it does prevent me from getting red.
And frankly I am a coppertone girl.

**UPDATE 10/01*******
Done with the spray stuff, it really does dry my skin out. I have stopped with all the spray sunscreens and my skin is less dry and my tan lasts so much longer. It's too bad, I loved how simple & refreshing it was, but there you go. I am back to old school lotions. continued >>

I love love love this stuff. The spf 10 is perfect for my dark skin (I know, I know, I should be using a 15). The aerosol spray works wonderful! I read the other posting regarding a "film" that develops on skin. The hairs on my arms glistened with the product and my skin felt dry and refreshed. This may be a matter of preference, but anyone with oily skin can tell you that it's not fun turning into an oil slick after applying sunscreen. I liked the immedidate dry, clean feeling it gave my skin. This stuff did not break me out, smelled great, and I even sprayed it on my face! The can lasted me a whole week at the beach, but I was just using from the waist up. I used a moisturizing spf 4 on my legs. I've bought two more bottles.

I saw this in the drugstore and thought I'd try it out. It comes in a neat little aerosol can with an attatched twist-lock cap and gives you a continuous spray of sunscreen, which solves the problem of using a pump bottle when you're hands are greasy (this stuff isn't greasy at all). The sunscreen itself worked well, and I didn't get burned when I used it. However, when you spray this on your skin, it dries to a very weird waxy, plasticky film that you can actually feel when you touch it, as well as when you move around. You aren't supposed to rub this stuff on, just spray it, and if you do rub it, it balls up into these little sticky blobs. I felt as though I'd been lightly laminated, seriously, and I didn't like it at all. It's also hard to remove in the shower. Even after using soap and my mesh scrubby sponge, I still could feel it! The just plain weird way this stuff feels on my skin cancels out the few things I do like about it. It has that classic Coppertone smell, which I love, but in this case, the alcohol fumes when you first spray it on are overpowering (this stuff is over 80% alcohol, yes, EIGHTY per cent), and it's very drying to your skin afterwards. There also wasn't very much of it in the bottle. I used it all, but I only got about 5 applications out of the 6 oz. bottle! This product was a good idea, but it fell far, FAR from the mark. Use regular lotion or oil sunscreen instead of this crap.
