Not whitening, I'll give it that - but very shiny & sticky when applied in the recommended amount to achieve the SPF cited on the bottle. Applying even the thinnest foundation on top would have resulted in a lovely paste texture, so I'm tickled pink I didn't bother. Plus, even with the absence of avobenzone, my eyes still managed to water starting an hour after application. I could not wait to get back home & wash it off. I will click my heels together in excitement the day Avène finally comes out with a sunscreen that is high SPF, non-whitening, non-sticky, & matte all at the very same time. continued >>

I prefered this to the SPF 50+ as the consistency is just that bit thinner.
Packaging is annoying I think that the Sunscreen may actually clog the spray a little because when you spray you get 4 trickles then on fifth attempt a good spurt then it starts over again!!! So annoying.
Protection was excellent, I didn't burn in the Florida midday sun and I have very fair skin that always burns before I tan ever so slightly.
I liked this one for use on my face, I have oily skin and had no problems with this, skin does feel a little tacky, it would be a problem if I was using daily but for holidays and the British Summer it is ideal.
Even for the annoying bottle, I would definately repurchase alongside the Nivea Spray Sunscreen.

OMG... where do i begin?
I was SO excited to try this sunscreen with Tinosorbs. It went on shiny and if i touched my face it felt tacky. But it didn't feel greasy. I put some powder over it and it looked fine.
As i washed it off at night, i put on my vitamin C and went to bed. Woke up with a reaction from he((, my entire face was irritated beyond belief with reg itchy splotches and bumps all over, my skin looks like sandpaper and feel awful. Next day i noticed the bumps were on my neck and upper arms too, i guess my face was so bad, i didn't notice anything else.
This just happened the other day, i will update when it clears up on how long it took me to get rid of this reaction.
I hope this stuff work better for someone else. I have never had a reaction like this before. Ever. And i hope to never have it again. Yikes.
UPDATE: i tried this again on a small spot on my face to make sure it wasn't vit C that caused it or the combo, and sure enough I am allergic to Avene. That spot is all red bumpy and itchy. Bummer.

UPDATE: I upped the rating, because I realized that this was just me reacting to it, others probably won't. It wasn't bad texture when i did wear it (mentioned above).
