I can't believe this stuff is discontinued! It's fantastic!
This product is a conditioning toner treatment that can be applied even to my fine roots without weighing them down. It doesn't tone dramatically but over time it brightens my blonde exceptionally well without harshly drying out my locks!

I gave this an average rating because although it works well as a conditioner, it does nothing to alter the brassiness in my box colored blond hair.
It smells good and it leaves my hair very soft, it's a pleasure to use, but I am looking for a product to tone down the yellow and this just doesn't work. I have to admit though that Clairol Shimmer Lights doesn't work too well for me either, but with Clairol, if I leave it on a few minutes, I do manage to get a slight ashy hue. Pure Pearl does nothing in this regard.

I was so sad to find this product has been discontinued and if you can find it and love it as much as I do GRAB IT, lol. But never fear, Redken has not discontinued this permanently but they have renamed it and come out with a second "color" formula, one for "ultra pale blonde highlights" and one for "golden hightlights". The smell is different than the orignal pure pearl, it smells more like the rest of the Redken line (which I LOVE). Anyway, on to the product...it is probably one of the best treatments for blonde hair I've ever found, and I've tried so many. I use this maybe once every 2 weeks in conjunction with my shimmer lights shampoo and let me tell you it makes my hair look like I've just had it highlighted. It is a wonderful product for blondes. I also think it is really moisturizing considering the color depositing agents in it, also I've never worn gloves when using this product and I've never had any problems.

I'm using this because Im out of ShimmerLights. Pretty good stuff, but if your blond is truly platinum, DON'T LEAVE ON FOR LONGER THAN A MINUTE. You will have purple spots. I'm sure it's excellent for toning darker than level 10 blonds/ highlights, but you really have to watch it if you have the super-bleached blonde like I do.
Smells weird, though. And I don't consider it very moisturizing, but I have super-bleached hair, so I have the type of hair that I rub jojoba oil into after washing--as in super dehydrated. If you don't have very processed hair, it's probably ok on the moisturizing tip.

i have several chunky light blonde highlights and this stuff def brightens them up! pretty moisturizing too...everytime i use this stuff, sum1 asks me if i had my hair done...little did they know that all i did was use this gem! works better than schwarzkopf or shimmerlights!

This is a strong treatment for light blonde hair, strong meaning it will leave a purple hue in your hair if left on too long because it works so well. Because I'm a Redken freak, I use CAT, Extreme Deep Fuel, Anti-Snap, etc. I usually alternate these products and use this twice a week before my conditioner. I leave it on about 6 minutes and it eliminates any signs of brassiness. You may want to leave it on longer depending on your hair color. IF your hair turns too purple, use the Cleansing Cream by Redken and follow up with conditioner.

This is a truly lovely product for anyone with coloured/higlighted blonde hair, it helps to maintain your fresh, pretty blonde and to keep the brassiness away. I also makes my hair super soft and shiny, and I use it about twice a week, in conjunction with my silver'lavender shampoo, to keep away the pesky yellow tones that can creep up on us blondies, although I believe it would be anough to use this on it's own :)

Where has this stuff been all my life? I picked up a bottle at Ulta last weekend and tried it; results were amazing! I'd had my mousey brown hair foiled a few weeks ago and it was starting to look dull and washed out. Pure Pearl brought the brightness back! I'm loving this stuff!

My hairstylist gave this to me for free after she turned my hair banana yellow(randolph's salon in waterford, MI. beware) ...I never used it as I immediately had my hair dyed brown, but a year later I am finally back to my normal ashy blonde hair, yay! Even though I don't have much brassiness in my hair I figured it would at least make my blonde hair look shiny/healthy. This product leaves my hair feeling like SILK and I have never said this about any product...even if my hair has tangles when I apply it..as I rinse it out, the tangles fall out and I'm left with the smoothest hair imaginable. When I blow dry my hair it's incredibly soft and looks SO healthy. I have recntly noticed the more I use it the ashier my hair becomes..so it may not remove brassiness right away, but keep using it!

I really like this product. It infuses my fine blonde hair with shine. The scent is ok.

I love this treatment! It makes my hair really shiny, bouncy and superblonde! A must have in my hair care regimen... If you buy it online at Goddess Within for example, you can get it for like $13 which is definitely a steal!
My hair is dark blonde and I highlight it so it gets platinum blonde and I couldnt live without this treatment!

I love the way my hair looks after I use this. It's so bouncy, shiney, and soft. Most products weigh my fine hair down if it goes anywhere near my roots but this moisturizes without being heavy. I can see my blonde strands have more "pop" to them after I use this too. I think this was $16 @ Ulta. Will repurchase when I run out.

I flip-flop from blonde to brunette a lot, and love a very very cool blonde. I bought this to get rid of any golden or brassy tones, and it did absolutely nothing for the color of my hair. Yes, it did feel like a nice smoothing in shower treatment, but as for the color enhancing of it, I got nothin'. I have used shampoos that have given me waaay more than a whole tube of this dumped on my head would have. I used up the whole thing, (I felt like it took forever!) but will not repurchase because when I need my blonde toned down at home, I want to use something that actually works. Thumbs down, Redken. Sorry.

This is a fab product for color treated blondes! I just had my hair colored and wanted something to preserve my blonde without making my hair look like straw. Plus, because I had waited too long inbetween colors my highlights turned out a bit strawberry blonde and I really wanted to tone down the "pink" and bring out the lighter, golden tones. This stuff worked a dream! I (of course) read reviews here first and then found this at Hair Cuttery for $15. I have only used it once and didn't expect to see immediate results, but I did! Even a girlfriend of mine noticed the change. This really brightened my blonde highlights and took out the strawberry undertones. It has a lovely, light coconut smell and a great creamy, thick consistency (which I love in a conditioner). The directions say to towel dry after washing and then leave this in, but I just squeezed any excess water from my hair in the shower and then left this on for about 3 minutes. For the price you get a huge bottle, and because I'll only use this about 2x a week I'm sure it will last ages. Highly recommended! EDIT: Brought this on holiday with me to the Carribbean where I was sure the heat and sun would do a number on my hair. This stuff was like a rescue team for my highlights. It really seems to "wake up" the blonde in my hair. An absolute must have.

I also use this onm my natural blond hair and it made my hair soo much lighter as well as super soft and manageable. Then once I got some highlights put in it really maintained the colour nicely. I would definatly reccomend this for the the blonds out there its lovely.

I really love this product.
I actually use it on my natural blonde hair and it makes it look great! It makes my hair look brighter and shinier, plus it feels super soft! I only use it one or two times a week as a deep conditioner, I've never had a bad experience with it. I don't think the price is that bad, when I use it I use alittle more than I do for regular conditioner, put it on with a glove and use a widetooth comb to distribute more. I don't know why you need gloves, I've tried it without and never experienced any irritation or discoloration... the first time I used it I got alittle on my forhead and it was alittle red after I got out of the shower, but I have sensitive skin. I usually hate synthetic coconut smells but I like this one a lot!
I'd reccommend this to anyone who has hair in the pale blonde family!

Amazing stuff. I used it after I dyed my roots (at home, with Schwartzkopf Absolute Platinum). My hair is now..... Absolute Platinum. And if wouldn't be if it wasn't for this, as everytime I have my roots done they come out slightly brassy. A must in every blondes hair regime!!
After I rinsed out the Pure Pearl, I towel dried my hair and used the Aveda Damage Control spray for protection and detangling - it's good but expensive. Then, before blowdrying I use the John Frieda Full Blown Blonde root thickening spray.
I can honestly say that my hair feels and looks amazing. And best of all..... absolutely platinum!!!!!!!!!!!!
I took a lippie off for 2 reasons;
1. It's expensive - I got it for half the price and I'm glad I did as otherwise I might never had been able to afford it!! - will happily buy again full price though.
2. Truth be told I haven't tried another treatment/violet toner in one, so I have nothing to compare it to! (apart from the VO5 leave in violet treatment, which was rubbish)
May I also add that I currently don't use a shampoo/conditioner designed for blonde hair, so don't feel it's neccessary to splash out on those products, I think a good violet deep treatment is more than enough!

Amazing. If you are a blonde, go for it!. Gives your hair shine, improves your hair tone eliminating brassiness, makes your hair so well conditioned. Ive also try the other one, blonde glam fresh gold and it works as good as this one. Great product! I give it a 5/5

This is amazing stuff and I'm in love with it!! I love the smell its like a beachy coconut. Does a great job at tonning my hair and making it super platinum. Wonderful stuff. Can't get over how soft my hair feels and how great it looks. Wonderful wonderful stuff. Purchased off of ebay so I found it for 3 for the price of one.
