Ok, this is really, really ugly looking but it works! Yes, I wear sunscreen. Yes, I wear good sunglasses. However, all the stable high PPD sunscreen in the world doesn't prevent the sun from beating on your face, causing you to get all hot and sweaty especially if you hike during the summer, garden, or just have a long commute to work. The Face Visor functions like sunglasses except it doesn't slide off your nose when it gets all sweaty from the heat and sun. Also, I tend to break out at where the sunglasses touches my face and you don't have that to worry about with the face visor. Best of all, even with the sun shining full on your face, your face stays nice and cool so you don't get all sweaty. You don't get matted hat hair like you do with a hat. As a matter of fact, it doesn't mess up your hair style at all (important if driving to work). The vision is pretty crystal clear through the visor. Just make sure to remove the protective plastic film from BOTH sides of the visor. The film on the underside of the visor is not obvious but there IS a film on BOTH sides of the visor. Things may look a bit blurry if you neglect to remove the film from both sides. Also, you are likely to get looks if you put the visor all the way down (which I do if I know I won't encounter another living human being or a human being I even remotely know) but it really doesn't look that bad in the up position...it's definitely not cute but it's not horrid.
