I liked the perfume, so I bought the Ecstasy Shea Souffle. Have to say I'm rather disappointed. "Souffle" suggests light and fluffy, however in the tub, this has the texture of, and looks like...lard. It's hard, which makes it difficult to spread and rub in, and on my dry skin, it left a greasy feeling, which eventually went away (can't dress immediately after application), and was unpleasant to rub in. I didn't get much scent from it, so it really didn't help me layer my fragrance. For those that like "green" products, this is ok,and shea butter lovers will probably like it. I won't repurchase. Many others out there that are better for less money.

I love L'occitaine products and it is mostly the shea in them that moisturizes me and I emjoy. Oneday I was in Hearald square at the Macy's and I saw a small section that carried tubs of cream. I later learned that a woman started out by making these lotions in her basement in Brooklyn. Well that was interesting how she started but the creams like the souffle use up to 80% shea in (which are like a huge amount compared to what L'occitaine uses, if you like shea butter) Not only that but the smell (ecstasy) was something I've never experienced. They used such ingreduents as macademioa and sweet almondd. This is a cheaper alternative to L'occitaine and the products seem to have more organic like ingredients! At least this was before she hit the Sephora counters!!

Ture Blue makes a scentless body cream with shea butter. I love it, but it is $16.00 for 8 ounces and it doesn't last long because it has the consistency of a thick lotion. I searched high at low for an equivalent with a creamy consistency with no silicones, beeswax, fragrance, etc.. I happened upon this at SEPHORA. It stinks going on but the scent quickly fades and it becomes exactly what I want, a scentless, greaseless, odorless (or light odor) body cream. It is $30.00 for 16 ounces but it is think and not greasy so it is worth it. It also moisturizes the whole day.

I just received some Carol's Daughter products for Christmas, and I tried the Ecstacy souffle last night before bed. I really enjoy the consistency...quite thick yet easily absorbed, and not greasy feeling at all. The scent is pretty, but a bit different than I had expected after reading the description of it. It is subtle, which is perfect to me. I like to enjoy a pretty scent when applying body products, but do not like the scent to overpower any fragrance I might use.
I am more than satisfied with this, and hope that it's an indication of other Carol's Daughter products, which I have yet to try.

The scent for this is wonderfully sweet, and luckily for me it stays true once applied to my skin and has decent staying power. It moisturizes well, but I've found it works best on damp skin. When applying it to dry skin it goes on much thicker, takes more effort to work it in, and sometimes feels heavy. The #1 thing deterring me from purchasing this product again is the packaging. This product is much better suited for a tube than a tub.

I am really surprised by the negative reviews for this product. I love this stuff. It's super moisturizing, non-greasy and the scent lasts all day.

While it smells wonderful in the bottle, on my skin it started to smell slightly like play-doh. I might exchange this for only the perfume, as its a better choice for me than groove. The texture is heavenly for my skin now that it is almost winter, and it is very mosturizing. Luckily, the scent does not last very long.

Currently my favorite CD product. This souffle is delicious smelling and it moisturizes wonderfully especially if used right out of the shower. The scent is subtle but gorgeous. A bit pricey for the large tub $30.00 but a little goes a long way.

I purchased the Ecstasy Shea Souffle on last week and it worked wonderful on my skin. I love the smells that this product put out. I love this product tremendously because I don't have to layer it with any type of perfume. The smells in the product speak for you!!!!! I will continue to order products from Carols Daughter.

Carol's Daughter Shea Souffles provides superior moisurization for my extremely dry skin. I slather them on in the morning, and by the time I get home from work, my skin is still moisturized. I love this stuff! I purchased them in 8 different scents last fall, and they have literally carried me through the winter. Ectasy is my favorite scent of all of them, and it layers well with Egyptian Musk, which is one of my favorite scents. Ectasy is officially described as having notes of pineapple, peach, mango, strawberry, and vanilla along with a touch of Egyptian musk, Yum...Yum... Yummy!!!

While I'm totally in love with the Ecstasy scent. I'm not feeling the shea souffle texture. I'm a fan of the body balms and the butters. The shea souffle just doesn't do anything for me. Now that Esctasy will be available in the butter formula, I will leave the souffle on the shelf.

this is my first purchase from this company and i bought it online w/o even testing it first. it sounded like a beautifully exotic scented cream in the description and it's even better in person. the plastic tub is very generous and will last me a long time, probably long after the 6 month suggested usage date. it feels very luxurious and silky, and is perfect for fall/winter cold weather. it is heavier than i expected but doesn't feel overly greasy. i make sure to use a small amount since it rubs in well and spreads easily and i don't want to overdo it. unlike some of the other reviewers, i din't notice that it took a long time to absorb. compared to similar thick body creams (like L'Occitane Shea Butter Body Lotion or LUSH Dream Cream) i thought it absorbed rather quickly. i love the results it has left on my skin. like someone else observed, it does add a sheen to my skin. it smells so great too...like a mellow pineapple cocktail with a background of nutty macadamia or almond. not overpowering or heady-sweet either. just perfect! i really like the natural ingredients too. this is certainly a new favorite of mine and i am excited to try their other products!

Bliss discontinued their Plum Plum line so I was looking for another scented lotion with coordinating sprays etc. I ordered this online without smelling it first and have not been disappointed. Huge tube, such a better value than Bliss. Excellent moisturizing capability, a bit greasy though. I really need to give it time to soak into my skin. It smells good but I do smell more Shea Butter than the actual Ecstasy scent. I bought the EdT so that gives me the smell I was looking for. I'm going to use these up (will take awhile) and test some other CD scents before I decide to buy again. UPDATE: I prefer Almond Cookie

I ordered this souffle thinking it was going to be a nice fruity summer scent. Wow, was I wrong!! It smells identical to Playdoh. Not a hint of fruit in this at all on me. I couldn't believe when I applied it what I was smelling. Also, the texture is extremely greasy and left a shiny film on my skin. I do have dry skin and tend to look for very moisturizing lotions and creams but this was just nasty. Big waste of money.

I bought the Ecstasy Shea Souffle a couple of months after purchasing the Groove Shea Souffle, and they must have changed the formula because the two have totally different consistencies. The Groove had a harder consistency which left scoop marks from fingers, however, the Ecstasy is very creamy, almost like pudding. The oils from the Groove separated, while the Ecstasy stays mixed. (I hope mass marketing through Sephora didn't cause CD to add artificial stabilizers because the appeal of her products is that they are all natural). The smell is to die for -- smells of pineapple and other tropical fruits. It says it contains musk, but it is no where near as musky as the Groove. In fact, I gave the rest of my Groove to my husband because the sweet smell of the Ecstasy makes the Groove seem so masculine now. Excellent moisturizing qualities, and not too greasy. A perfect fragrance for summer, and much more natural smelling than BBW Tahiti Sweetie.
