This is a very thick, clear gel which likely has some starch in it that causes a tightening effect when it dries. It has a very, very light scent that is not problematic. The website lists only the "active ingredients", so I am unable to verify any components.
"Key Ingredients:
Firmiderm™ (3-plant extracts complex), Matrikines, Centella asiatica extract"
The formula is not moisturizing so an eye cream will be needed as well. I have a deluxe sample which I will use all week and report back on effects.

I got a deluxe sample size bottle of this eye serum with a kit I bought. Love the pump bottle, I wish companies would put more things in pump bottles as it preserves the product much better. I've been using this serum at night along with the Arovita Eye Gel and I've been liking the effects so far. It's not a strong tightening sensation, but I can feel the firming action. It has what looks to be a high concentration of Dermaxyl in it so maybe over time the firming and lifting results will be better. No reduction in puffiness, so I am using the de-puffing serum in the morning. Overall it's a nice product, it's not as drying as the La Prairie Caviar eye serum. I would probably re-purchase this one, but will update with more results.
UPDATE 3/1/09: I'll keep this rating at 3 as I don't seem to see much benefit from this serum. I feel the La Prairie's Caviar Eye Serum does a better job of tightening the eye area. Nice product overall and great ingredients but I need something stronger.

It's expensive, didn't feel it did anything. Perhaps my eyes are not at the age to be lifted yet. Originally I wanted the dark circle serum but the sales kept pushing this on me for some odd reason. Won't buy it again, since I didn't see any results.

Like the other reviewer, I received a sample of this product through the NM Beauty Event. Instead of "Lifting and Firming", they might want to call it "Burning and Itching"...which is what happened to me. I like the Arovita product for lips and eyes (and also love a lot of other Darphin), so this product is a true disappointment...

I recieved a sample of this in the latest Neiman Marcus Beauty bag. Set to be released this spring, this is a new serum from Darphin that is supposed to lift and firm. Well it doesnt do either of those things. I think this is one of the worst eye treatments I have ever used. It does absolutely nothing and its not even the slightest bit moisturizing. Does not work at all under concealer. I tried this a night, in the morning, and nothing happened at all. Doesnt reduce bags, didnt firm, lift or help with wrinkles. I am still searching for a HG eye treatment, but this is a big waste. Retails for $75. Did not irritate my contacts or create any milia. My sample lasted three weeks with daily use and maybe this is supposed to be used longer to see any effects but i wont be testing it out. Wont be purchasing this one.
