Love, Love, Love this product! I have tried many cleansers over the years but none feel quite as luxurious as this! I bought it after reading that it was a favourite of Marilyn Monroe's (and I am a big fan of her's.) The texture feels quite heavy on and it is probably best suited to those with normal/dry skin but if you make sure you wash it off with a flannel, it leaves your skin incredibly soft! Nor would I suggest you use it twice a day- it's probably best used at night time. It is a staple in my skin care though!
Ponds works great not only as a makeup remover but also as a great cleanser to use throughout the week. After using Ponds my skin feels dewy, soft and looks and feels smoother than normal. I have acne-prone skin. Pond's cold cream does not make my skin break out. I have not used it for more than 2 consecutive days in a row, therefore, I do not know how it work with continued long term use. However, Pond's is great to use at least once a week to make ur skin smooth, soft, and moisturized.
I took away a lipstick because I do not like jar packaging leaves it susceptible to bacteria.

A timeless classic because it works... Ponds cold cream removes everything from my face...including waterproof makeup. AND it doesn't break me out or leave my face oily! I apply and wait 10 seconds and then remove with a warm, wet washcloth. My skin feels clean, refreshed and not stripped after using it. I've removed with tissue before but it doesn't remove my eye makeup as well with tissue. The warm wet washcloth does the trick. It's a nightly ritual during the fall and winter months... I have white washcloths that I used exclusively just for my Ponds ritual lol....

I'm not reviewing this for facial use... Quite frankly, I tried and wanted to love it, but this stuff is just toxic to my face! It doesn't remove makeup--even mmu or powder, and definitely not eye makeup. Clouds my vision, etc... all the bad things people have said, I agree with.
*But* I have been using it as a nighttime hand cream and it is my HG of hand creams!!! I don't know where I had read that you can leave it on your hands at night, and wear those cotton gloves, but I tried it and I am beyond impressed!!! My hands have been literally falling apart from the cold and nasty weather, and no amount of hand lotions, butters and creams have helped, even sleeping with them on inside my cotton gloves. But after even the first use of this cold cream left on my hands overnight, my hands were nearly brand new! After a few days, my hands looked amazing!!! Especially the areas that had cracked and were scaly--totally fine now. Plus, my cuticles have never looked better. That's saying alot since I had terrible looking hands this winter that I just couldn't keep hydrated.
I love the kitchy little jar too--totally retro.
So as a face cleanser, I say definitely yuck boo hiss, but as a nighttime hand moisturizer, it is definitely fabu and will last a l-o-n-g time since the jar is so huge!
I'm going to try it as a face mask and see how that works...

I recently switched to this after I became allergic to an eye makeup remover, and this was the only one I could find that was labeled hypoallergenic. I don't use this all over my face, just my eyelids, and I find it does a very good job of removing my eye makeup. I'll definitely repurchase, and it will last a long time!
Just wanted to share a real testimonial from a male's point of view. I am a 54 year old Asian man who has been using PONDS cold cream to clean my face since 15 years old. I've used it everyday. I have always stuck with this product and has always been a part of my facial regimen. I wanted to let the makers of this product know that it really works and maintains good skin quality, including I have barely wrinkles in my face and neck. My skin stays soft and supple and I barely have any problems. I recommend this product to anyone, especially if you don't like using soap for the face.

I'm sorry but I just don't get why people like this. My main concern is getting off my mascara/eyeliner (regular, not even waterproof). I use a light powder foundation that comes off easily with my cleanser or any makeup remover. However this clouds my vision like crazy after - especially if I'm wearing contacts, it ruins them, they never clear up no matter how much solution I put in them or how much time it takes. If I'm not wearing them, it still blurs them so much I can't see well with my glasses either. I like to take off my makeup a few hours before bed sometimes.. so that's not acceptable. I may even get over that if it worked as well as everyone says it does.. but unfortunately for me it does not. Because the product is so thick, you really have to work it in to your lashes so that it gets around the lashline effectively. And it definitely did not do a better job at getting it off than my Neutrogena wipes or Sonia Kashuk liquid remover. I may give it another try because everyone likes it so much, but I am sorry to say I'm not impressed.
I have oily skin and I can still use this as a cleanser as well as a makeup remover as long as I don't use to much. I haven't found a makeup remover or a cleanser that works as well as Pond's.
