Angelkai, I'm with you. I can't believe the reviews of this product. This product for me is AMAZING. I had decided that Trish McEvoy treatment skin my foundation is my HG. I have to re-think that now. NOT because that is not second-to-none foundation but because my oil still manages to seep through during the day meaning I still have to blot and powder. My days are long and I always long for a foundation that will last through the day without my having to "powder my nose" a lot. Enter Pure luxe. And maybe that's why I love it where other people hate it. I LOVE the fact that it dries quickly. And the "clay" feeling that people complain about is magic for me. It seems to form a protective barrier that keeps my oil at bay. But my skin looks ANYTHING but dry. It looks flawless and perfect for hours. That may be because I follow it with MAC's mineralize skin finish.
I'm sorry if you ladies with dry or even normal skin don't care for this product. If you have oily skin, PLEASE consider trying it. If you look at my reviews, I've tried a LLLOOOOTTTT of foundation. I know of what I speak. THIS STUFF ROCKS!

I didn't hate this or anything. I just can not imagine using this all over my face. I don't like the way it feels and it drys super duper fast. I used this as an under eye concealer and it worked pretty good but for a foundation I don't think so.

:( I dont know why this product hasnt got wonderful reviews??? I LOVE this stuff sooooo much!! It's my HGx10000! I use this alongside their 'Eraser' and my acne scars simply vanish. Lately i have had the worse breakout of my life. I was feeling so depressed because my face looks so bad. I tried using normal powder mineral foundation, but it just looks so dry on my skin (dont know why). But then i decided to use this because prior to my skin breaking out, i was using MAC studio fix fluid in NC30 (a bit too dark for me). I'm over the moon that i've found this product. wish it was more readily available though :( I'm using Autumn which i'd have to say the BEST match i've ever had in foundations to my skin tone. I look so flawless and it makes me feel so beautiful, which i've never felt before.
Like everyone else says, you HAVE to blend it in really quickly as it dries into powder.
I cant rave about this product enough. The only poo-poo i'd have to say about this is the fact that it comes in jars..i'd prefer it if it came in some sort of pump bottle which is a) more hygeinic, b) less messy and c) wont dry up the product as quickly.
I'd give this 10 lippies if i could! lol

Surprise! I actually like this product!
Let me start by addresing some of the other reviews before mine. Yes, the fdn is quite unpleasant smelling. It smells salty to me. Yes it dries on your skin pretty quickly.
But...
I've had the sample jar for a month and it hasn't dried up. Maybe cos I live in the tropics where it's really humid?
To be honest, it looks so scary in the jar, I never tried it on my entire face. But the Pure Luxe site says this can be used as a concealer which I did. It provides good, medium coverage that lasts throughout the day. It can be a little difficult to blend initially, but after you get used it it, it's a pretty good concealer, and I feel good using it, cos I know it doesn't have harmful chemicals. (Don't know about bacteria through, since it's a liquid pdt). I would suggest using a brush which is more hygeinic than fingers. Since mine is a sample, I'm using my fingers, and I don't have any problems blending.
I use the fdn as a spot concealer and also to cover small patches of blotchy red skin. After that, I finish with a light layer of Alima or EM powder foundation.
This morning, I took a little more product out of the jar accidentally. So I tred a little on my cheeks. It's doing an excellent job of hiding my pores.
Overall, I would say that this product is an acquired taste, but it definitely has potential.
Am NC20 and use Warm cream which is a pretty good match. continued >>

I can't believe this isn't a joke! Pure Luxe's Whipped Cream Foundation is a strange, rather abrasive concoction that wears and feels more like a clay mask than an actual foundation.
The texture of this stuff is a touchable, highly moist mousse with an 'earthy' scent. It seems to spread alright and blend to a very short extent, meaning: it dries very, very fast.
It doesn't really cover anything, it instead leaves a dry, caked, pasty, tinted veil over the face, robbing the skin of it's natural color and luminescence.
I would guess that the culprit in this foundation is kaolin. Kaolin is the base ingredient for clay facial masks. When mixed with water and applied to the face, kaolin dries and hardens, as it purges impurities from the skin. This would explain the highly uncomfortable tightening sensation produced by this foundation. It is not comfortable or, more importantly, safe to wear this foundation everyday or for long periods of time. Imagine walking around all day with a clay mask on your face! It could lead to extreme drying of the skin, dermatitis, and/or eczema. That "itch" you feel while wearing this is your face telling you to get this stuff off!!
Just because certain cosmetics use "pure, natural minerals" doesn't necessarily mean that they're gentle or to be used freely without worry. Proceed with caution.
I like Pure Luxe, but I can't believe they're marketing this stuff. It's a joke, and a harmful one, at that!! They make really nice mineral foundations, though. I'd recommend those. The colors they formulate for the mineral line are easily some of the best out today.

I also bought a sample size of this product. I think I might be the first person to mention this, but it smells. It smells like mildew. I absolutely hate this product. The streaking, the smell. It's a bunch of yuck!

i bought a sample size of this in creamy natural.
It looked so unnatural on my face and looked very powdery after drying. And made my dry skin even more obvious! Better off to stick back to my normal lancome liquid foundation.

I did not like this foundation, luckily I only bought a sample. Three samples, in fact, in different colors - two of the colors were too light, and one was too dark. This foundation was hard to blend, and looked terrible on me, cakey and way too heavy. Perhaps I applied too much, but I found it very difficult to guage how much was too much, if you know what I mean. I love certain other Pure Luxe products, especially some of the eye colors and the eraser powder, but I definitely won't be purchasing this foundation.

the colours look nice in the jars. i purchased creamy natural and maize. but sadly, both cream foundations dried up before i applied it on my face. it probably dried up during my 5 hours flight. my guess is it'll be better to pay more for air-tight jars instead of getting foundation in their regular jars.

What a horrible product!
This stuff looked creamy in the container but when applied it dried almost immediately to a dry powder on your skin. It was hard to spread so I got strikes everywhere. Skin looked like powdery perkament. It feels thightened and dry, like wearing an itchy mask.
I couldn't also find a perfect match for my skin(NW15).

Love. This. Stuff. I just received a sample size of Marlene in the mail and this gives me the airbrushed canvas look. Nice and matte, not too much glitter or sparkle. I will be ordering this in a full size. It's hard to find something that matches my skin exactly and this is as close as it gets!
ETA: You must use a good foundation brush when applying this product, if not you're likely to end up with uneven coverage and streaks.
MAJOR UPDATE: I don't know what I was doing when I was applying this, but at the time I rated it I was about 8 months pregnant, so I'm not sure what my skin was like then, but this product doesn't work for me now, only as a concealer. WAY to heavy, dry and streaky. If you apply this all over it will give a heavy, dry fake look. Sorry for the earlier review. The color is really nice.

this is my first review!eee!
i love the colour of this foundation (I used ivory) a tad yellow and perhaps 1/2 a shade too light, but as I am always having to use foundations that are a half shade to a full shade too dark due to my fair skin, I was so happy!
I purchased this in a _sample size_ and by the 3rd day it was completely dried out (it was capped/closed properly). Aside from the colour & good coverage the first day I used it, I found this impossible to blend and ended up looking chalky and streaky. Dry dry dry!
this is too bad since the colour was so awesome, and would have been perfect for winter when I get even paler. I am really disappointed. If the formulation ever changes, I will try again immediately! continued >>

I've just ordered full size of this makeup. I am not sure how much I will love it in the winter when my skin is more dry, but for summer it has been good.
I'm not sure I've found my "perfect" shade, but am having fun trying color samples. So far a mix of Suntan/Buff is working well with Sunkissed Bronzer over it.
Definately takes some getting used to to apply. Packaging could be better, as it seems to dry out fast.
ETA: Just got my PL order and think I made a mistake with color! The Warm Cream sample I got matches my skin well alone, rather than mixing the others! O'well, I can still mix the suntan in for a little "hmmph" when I start to get really pale with winter!

This is a great foundation. I cant wear the powder foundation because it defines my pores, but I love this creme. I even like it once it's dried out a bit, then I mix the foundation with a tad of water and it blends so nice and gives a better coverage. I wear Suntan and then dust SunKissed bronzer and top it off with April's Mix. Tip: Place your creme foundation inside a ziplock baggy and seal. It will keep it creamy longer.

I like the powder foundation, and wanted to give this a try. A definite no. The foundation was "whipped" very poorly and had little white particles throughout. It is very dry as well, so when I tried to blend it in, it was nearly impossible--the cream would stick where I initially put it and then stick there. Yuck. It felt drying all day!! I would mix it with a generous amount of moisturizer of luminizer to make it spreadable. However, I will not repurchase this because I can purchase other foundations that don't require all the extra legwork.

great coverage but that's all i like about this. dries very quickly and makes my skin look like the sahara. dry, dry, dry. i was hoping to have a soft, creamy look to my skin but that was not the case. even though it had great coverage it accentuated all the textural problems on my skin and made it look far worse. didn't wear very well. also, came in a tiny container (i got the 10g jar). my hg is everyday minerals original glo, who would've thought a powder could provide me with the creamy complexion i was looking for?

Right now I'm still on the fence about this. I do like the coverage, and the color I got (CR Natural?) is perfect for my skin. The drawbacks are that it dries really fast, so you have to put it on quickly, and I don't really care for the smell of it when it's wet. Luckily it goes away when it dries. It was totally matte on my skin, I was hoping it would be a little more dewey. I'm still trying the sample I purchased, which is nice because it was enough product to actually try it for a few days (2 so far and I should have at least 3 more days worth) to make up my mind.

This product gives excellent coverage and does not look mask-like. The finish is very nice, if a bit glowy on me, but nothing that a good dusting of finishing powder can't handle. The texture is similar to a mousse and I find I need very little to adequately cover my face. I think drier skins would prefer the consistency. Oily skins might find it a bit too heavy. I took off one lippie for the unfortunate drying-out problem mentioned in previous posts. I haven't had to 'revive' it yet with liquid but I'll probably need to soon. All told, I would still repurchase.
UPDATE: OK. This dried out really badly. I rescued by mixing with some of my daily moisturizer to make the consistency spreadable again. Coverage and finish is still very good, but the whole process is too much trouble for a repurchase. Deducted one lippie.

The Whipped Cream foundation is a creamy mousse foundation that gives heavy to very heavy coverage. It dries quickly, so if you use it all over your face you have to apply it pretty quickly to smooth it out. I prefer to use it as a spot concealer because of the heavy coverage. I would give this 5 points if it wasn't for the fact that after a time it dries up and gets very hard to work with. You can revive it with some water or spritz, but it will not be mousse-like as before. It is advised to keep it in a zip-lock baggie to prevent its drying out.

Just received my first Pure Luxe samples, and I must say, I'm pretty impressed with this foundation. I have been on a mineral makeup kick lately in the interest of not putting toxic substances on my skin, but I just don't like the concept of powder foundation. It's not that it doesn't work, it's just that I'm having trouble adjusting my expectations of what foundation should be. My search for a liquid mineral foundation led me here, to Pure Luxe's Whipped Creme Foundation. First of all, I absolutely LOVE the inexpensive samples they send! At $1.50 for a generous scoop in a small jar, it's definitely worth it to give a shade or two a try. The shades seem very neutral, with no visible undertones, making it perfect for neutralizing redness! This foundation goes on creamy and dries to a very matte finish. I usually prefer a satiny finish to my foundation, but I bet if I mixed in a little liquid shimmer, it would be perfect. It blends well, although you must be careful not to put on too much; a little goes a long way, and too much will look masklike (of course, that's true of any foundation). My recommendation would be to apply a very small amount at first and then build in the spots that you need more coverage. I love that it doesn't make me itch, and that it doesn't feel like I've got makeup on...isn't that what we're all after? And at $5 a tub for a foundation that's actually good for skin, I think Pure Luxe has a hit with this one!
