I discovered La Roche-Posay anthelios in Paris and have been using it since then. The Lait is lighter than the creme and I think SPF 40 is enough for me. My skin is oily and I live in Hawaii but this is light enough to use everyday. Before La Roche Anthelios, I tried various sunscreens but could never stick to using SPF everyday. I found other products too sticky or irritating. This one works for me.

Though it says on the package it is oil free and has non-oil effect, it feels oily on my skin and takes a long time to be absorbed. Especially when I have to reapply, it feels very sticky even on my body. I read in an article that non-oily or oil-free sunscreen does not mean it is shine free nor has matte finish on your skin. I guess that¡¦s right on this one. Oh well, it is a learning process. I will not buy it again.

Don't know if I would buy this again, partly because it's not easy to get hold of. Used it on my arms today (only body area exposed) and I could feel stickiness throughout the day. Probably use it on burn-prone areas though like shoulders and chest, just for the superior protection. Didn't work at all on my oily/combo face. Balled up when I put foundation on top. I'll stick to Dermo-Peds 40 spray for that (Love it!).

Updated: A very nice sunscreen with SPF 40, IPD 54+, PPD 23. It's water-resistant & frangrance free.
I picked it up while I was in Germany. It contains Mexoryl SX & XL, thus is not available in the U.S. or Canada.
Previously, I've used the Canadian version of LRP Anthelios SPF 60 & Vichy Capital Soleil SPF45. The Lait SPF40 is MUCH lighter in texture with almost no shine (on my dry skin anyway).
I put this on in the morning, then wait 30 minutes before I put on my foundation (right now I'm using Maybeline Pure). It doesn't ball up, nor does it affect how my foundation wears throughout the day.
I'm not sure if it requires special cleasner to wash off. I use C.O.Biglow Rose Wonder Cream at night, and everything comes off.

This is a review for the Lait spf40 PPD23:
Like the other alcohol-free LRP-sunscreens, this one is way too shiny to use on your face. Because it is alcohol-free though, and not too sticky or heavy, I use it on my eye-area (to prevent stinging), lips and it makes a perfect summer-handcream. Because of this I'm already on my 3d bottle. It is almost as thin as the DP 60 lait, so it is very easy to spread. Because shine doesn't show (as much) on the neck and body, I prefer this ss over the other alcohol-laden ones for use on my body and sensitive areas.
