I bought this because I had an allergic reaction to my other mascara and Almay is hypoallergenic.

I was highly unimpressed. You need to spend tons of time adding lots of layers just to get any drama. You can get length curl and volume, yes, but the amount of time it takes compared to other mascaras is ridiculous. I personally get irritated by mascaras that don't start building after a few small strokes.

The formula was disgustingly dry and sticky and when I wanted to remove it my eyelashes got all stuck together and gross.

This does no justice for drugstore mascaras.

I absolutely love this mascara!! I love the 2 sides of the brush, one side for thickening and one for lengthening. It goes on so smoothly and if you do it right there's no clumps which is pretty amazing. It's decently priced, for me around $12 which is kind of expensive for mascara but its worth it. My only problem is that after a couple of months it starts to get clumpy when you put it on. I know that you're supposed to change your mascara every few months but I never do that. I just wait until it runs out. But other than that I say that almay has made a pretty fantastic product :)

Wow! This is a very good mascara! I'm impressed, it's the first mascara I've ever tried from Almay and I'm pleased by the results :)
It lengthens and thickens my lashes very well and it curls them,, it's a nice black color and doesn't flake or smudge during the day! The only problem I have with this is that if I try to build up more than 3 coats of this the lashes start clumping and then it doesn't look so nice.
The brush is nice, very thin and long so you can reach all of those little lashes in the corners :) And it's also really nice for the bottom lashes.
The packaging is boring and I wish it would look more feminine but I don't care about it when it performs this well :)
I would buy it again and I recommend it to everyone!

This is my all time favourite mascara. I have tried sooo many different types of mascara from high end to dirt cheap and have yet to find any as good as this. Being very pale and ginger i need my mascara to work miracles to coat my lashes and make them look good, this does it! Fantastic at coating lashes from the very root, adding length and volume, it makes my lashes look really full and black. Cannot fault it. Price is excellent too, got it for around 4 quid! Try it!!

Overall this is my HG mascara! I keep trying other mascaras such as the falsies, one by one, great lash, cover girl and practically every other mascara but I keep coming back to this one because it is so great! I really like the design of the brush, it actually does lengthen and thicken your lashes. I also think that my lashes grew after using this! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this mascara, it is a great buy and you won't be disappointed! :)

This is a good mascara for the price. I've tried lots of other mascaras and always come back to Almay. I have dry, sensitive eyes and used to wear contacts all the time.
The key, of course, is to replace mascara after three months, no matter how seldom you use it. I take long breaks from mascara for this reason. I don't like throwing things away.
Before they came out with Triple Effect, I always used Lengthening.

This is a good mascara. And you know what, it really did add a curl! I like the wand a lot, not too big and cumbersome. One side is flat, the other has the brush, Adds volume, but you have to add coats (I always do). Does not glob and clump but makes lashes look thick. I use this with my treasured Lancome primer. Does not break the bank which is always a good thing.

I liked this mascara - the brush especially, which gets longer at the end - kind of like an arch. It's not the best I've ever used, but it's not the worst either. It mostly had a dark black and lengthening effect on my eyelashes. Didn't do anything as far as thickening or give me much volume, but it was a good daytime mascara. After awhile when applying I did notice some issues with crumbling/clumping.

It had a nice shiny black color to it, but the flaking was out of control- which is strange because I'm a drugstore mascara junkie and I rarely ever have that issue with mascaras. It went on nice and wet, but after a few hours I began to notice the flaking. It was also a very stiff mascara, which I don't care for. Almost like putting nail polish on your lashes. Starts out wet, then turns stiff. Since it came off resonably well and did not cause damage, it gets two lipsticks instead of one. For reference, I prefer Maybelline's Volumous One by One, Stiletto, and Full n Soft.
