I bought this product because the lotion is initially luminous and beautiful. However, the glow disappears very quickly; you only notice the "skin perfecting" effects immediately after application! Otherwise, my skin tone did not reveal significant perkiness. The price is not worth the results.

This review is actually in reference to the Estee Lauder Skin Perfecting Creme not the Skin Perfecting Lotion. The creme is still available even though it's no longer listed in the Estee Lauder Products Brochure. It was quite a while ago but I asked a representative at the cosmetic counter why the Estee Lauder Skin Perfecting Creme was no longer listed in the catalog. She said that the company was no longer trying to promote the product as there were many new moisturizers that were in the forefront. However, she said that so many people still used the Estee Lauder Skin Perfecting Creme and specifically asked for it that the company continued to produce the product. I have used the lotion and I didn't like it nearly as well as the creme. I will say that I have used Estee Lauder Skin Perfecting Creme (not the lotion) for well over 20 years. I like it because it doesn't irritate my skin in any way. It doesn't feel stingy the way some cosmetics do after applying. It seems to have a calming effect on the skin. I use it as a night cream because it's too expensive to use morning and night. It absorbs completely and doesn't feel greasy at all and you won't find it smeared all over your pillow in the morning. Actually I don't really like it as a base under my foundation because of the fact that it is absorbed into the skin so completely but I like it as a moisturizer at night. I use Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion under my makeup because it's a liquid and it seems to work well under my foundation.

This stuff wasnt absolutely heinous but I wouldnt buy it again. It was pretty runny and had a slight smell to it (although not entirely unpleasant). My main problem was it says it is a lightweight moisturizer and there was nothing lightweight about it. It did not absorb quickly and was heavy on my face. Might make a decent nighttime moisturizer but I have other things I like more.
