I like this as a nighttime moisturizer during the summer. It's interesting to read other reviews about the coconut fatty acids & being highly comedogenic. My skin has not reacted to this, but I might keep it in mind once I run out.
It never makes my skin break out & during the warmer months, it's a nice, clean moisturizer. However, now that the air is dryer, I'm finding I need something more. I tried to switch to using this during the day, but it really does not do well under my mineral makeup. So I'm back to the Aubry Organics nighttime cream (which I love). I'll probably use this on days that I'm not wearing makeup... I hope its shelf-life will carry it through to next spring. continued >>

Frankly, I bought this for the rosa ingredient. I have used this product for a week now and it seems okay. Not too much of a moisturizing effect and I am concerned about the coconut fatty oils that may clog the skin pores.
Pros : thick, creamy and easy to 'dab' on, pleasant perfume. Hasn't caused any breakouts yet.
Cons : terrible terrible packaging. The product is extremely thick consistency and does not pour out easily of the cheap plastic jar. As a result, it can not be applied like a lotion but works by dabbing in spots.
Also very expensive for the amount of cream, and I wonder why.....there are cheaper, natural creams! I have made a concoction of olive oil and beeswax, aloe and some floral essences that has cost less.

I really wanted to like this product, but it did not agree with my skin at all.
It irritated my face and made it itchy. Because it absorbs so quickly, I don't have much time to massage it in my skin. It dries as a matte finish.

Ever since my son was born, my skin has changed and gone bananas. Everything I used on my face suddenly stopped working. Along with a bar of oatmeal lavender soap from the Apothecary Fairy, this has been my new face care regimen and it works beautifully. The product is very thick but does not feel like it on the face. I only use a very small amount, about a half penny size, all over my face. My pimples and blemishes have gone away and I have stopped using foundation because my skin looks and feels so great now. **update** Big pimples and bad blemishes have totally gone away, but small blackheads started erupting. This product contains a coconut fatty base. If you google "non-comedogenic chart," coconut oil is rated one of the worst comedogenic natural oils.So I'm assuming that while my skin does not have an allergic reaction to the product and my overall skin tone and texture has improved, this product is clogging my pores.

This moisturizer worked well for me for about a year, but I turned 31 and now around menstruation the moisturizer does nothing, I used to mix a bit of rose water and apply morning and night and it was excellent...oh well, on to try jojoba~

A mild yet hardworking moisturizer. This is one of my two favorite facial moisturizers (along with Camocare, which is getting hard to find). I put it on right after washing my face and it seals in moisture without making my skin greasy. The scent is a little sweet, but it doesn't last long.

I have been loving this moisturizer all winter long! It feels hydrating and not greasy, sinks in well to my skin and is perfect under my sunscreen(Devita Body Block) and Mineral Makeup (Alima). It has been my go to moisturizer throughout my whole pregnancy as well. I had to put away my Jurlique moisturizer because I couldn't take the scent but the Aubrey Rosa Mosqueta has not bothered me one bit. It has never irritated my face . Only down side is that it does seperate so remember to shake it up well. Sometimes at night I add a little extra oil to it (hemp, coconut or jojoba). Love it

I was pretty unimpressed with this. I agree with a reviewer below - the texture is odd - it's very thick, hard to get out of the squeeze bottle it's so thick, which would lead one to believe that it's rich. However, it leaves a dry-ish film on the skin, doesn't really feel emollient at all! I may use this as a body lotion, but I wouldn't put this on my face. Also, the smell kind of bothers me - sort of an overly sweet herbal rose, very powdery.

Got this because I wanted an organic moisturizer. I have normal skin that is a bit on the dry side in the winter. This moisturizer worked well for me and my skin seems to be a bit more even toned. I will probably repurchase as it does what I want it too.
EDIT: This product doesn't work well under makeup because it doesn't fully set. I will use it during days when I don't wear makeup though.

I have been using a sample of this for the past few days, and can honestly say my skin has done a complete 180. I have acne prone dry skin with a lot of redness. In the past 3 days since using this my dry skin feels soft, and have had no breakouts. The tone and overall clarity have also improved and I can now wear only mineral makeup. I found this at my local Henry's, and they let me take home a generous sample. This might be a new formula as others have mentioned and this is the updated ingredient list per Aubrey's website.
Coconut Fatty Acid Cream Base, Organic Aloe Vera, Horsetail Extract, Coltsfoot Extract, Coneflower Extract, Organic Rosa Mosqueta® Rose Hip Seed Oil, Calendula Oil, St. John's Wort Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Aubrey's Preservative (Citrus Seed Extract, Vitamins A, C and E), Nettle Extract, Bitter Almond Oil.

This used to be my favorite moisturizer - for years but...
They've recently reformulated this cream and it is now unusable for me. At first I thought I got a bad bottle of it, but after ordering it again, I realized it has definitely changed. I tried the tester at Whole Foods as well just to make sure. They are all the same.
This cream USED TO BE very emollient, spread very easily and was very moisturizing - all day long without being greasy. It fit the bill of what I look for in a good moisturizer, and then some.
But now the texture is completely different.
The color of the cream is different (kind of pearlescent grayish pink) The natural almond fragrance it had smells more chemical now and the consistency (like peanut butter) is so thick it won't come out of the bottle. It really is almost unspreadable and leaves a dry-sih film on the skin. My skin looks very dry and fine wrinkles appear more pronounced after applying. There was no moisture on my skin even right after applying.
I really do hate leaving a bad review for this cream as I loved it for many years, but it no longer fits the bill of a moisturizer, imo.

I wish my skin had liked this product as the products seemed nice and the price was reasonable. Am a big fan of natural & organic skin products so decided to give this a try after reading the good reviews. My skin is dry and a little sensitive.
A little difficult to squeeze the cream from the bottle but that's not a big problem...rather thick consistency with a light pleasant smell which goes away quickly. But I just didn't like the matte feel on my face - as my cheeks are rather dry, something 'smoother' would have been preferred. This filmy feel remained for a long time after application.
For the first 2 days, the cream worked ok but after a while, red bumps started to pop up on my cheeks and nose area. They don't behave like acne, just red bumps which went away when I switched back to my usual cream. So, no go for me..

I am LOVING this!!!!! I don't know why, but I didn't expect much from this moisturizer when I first bought it. I think it's because whenever I read reviews for Aubrey products on makeupalley, the product reviews were not that great.
I put this on every night after I wash my face, and my dry skin just drinks it up right away. It feels nice, velvety and silky on my skin. Some moisturizers for dry skin are way too rich and greasy, but this provides just the right amount of richness and my skin hasn't broken out or anything after using this. :) The smell is rosy, and it's not overwhelmingly strong, but you can slightly smell after you apply it. I also really love the texture of this cream; it's like whipped butter!
will buy again and again as long as my skin behaves well with this. :)))

I am a fan of Aubrey Organics RoseHip seed oil, and could not resist trying this.
This has a strange consistency, half solid and like curdled cream or something. The consistency does not mix well with the packaging which would be appropriate only for something more fluid, as it is the packaging curdles a lot. The smell is lovely, and like rosehip seed oil but not roses, smells a bit wild and not too strong. It sinks into the skin well with some massaging.
Don´t even think of using this if you have oily skin. My skin is mixed and in summertime I found this too greasy. But now it´s colder, my skin seems to need something richer and this is just right for morning ( as long as you top it with something with SPF) and for occasional late afternoon moisturizing.

The Bad: I would not use this for my face. It was very irritating.
The Good: I would use this has hand or body moisturizer. It has a pretty scent, and a pretty pink color, and it's pretty moisturizing. It feels nice & cool/calming when you put it on (not the burning menthol kind of cool). The consistency is that of diluted body butter, which is nice.
Overall: I may buy it again as body moisturizer. continued >>

I switched to this product after the hit-or-miss experiences I've had with the moisturizers in the Dr. Hauschka line.
Overall, I'm really happy with this rosa mosqueta cream. I have dry, flaky patches on my forehead, around my nose, and on my chin and this cream is able to keep them at bay. I also like the rosey scent, though I can see how it would offend some people. It does dissipate shortly after application, if that's any consolation to those who don't like scent, but want to try this product.
Don't forget to brace your core muscles and really shake the bottle before use! (It is a bit in consistency.)

Having skin which is prone to spots blackheads and blocked pores, but also prone to extreme dryness, irritation and flakiness, finding the right moisturiser is a nightmare. I received a sample of this from a website just at a time when my skin was really acting up and fell I
in love with it straight away and bought a full size bottle. I've been waiting a while to add my review as I've often thought a product was great only to find that after a few weeks of use it starts to break me out. So far, so good with this. I really love it. It moisturises very well and I haven't had any flakies since I started using it. What's really great is that it achieves this without making my skin in any way greasy, even throughout the day. It soaks in quickly and leaves a great base for make up. I also use it as eye cream and again it moisturises brilliantly with no resulting milia or irritation, even with my sensitive eyes. Although this is specified as suitable for dry skin I think its suitable for all skin types and well worth having on hand if you're at all prone to dry or dehydrated skin.

I have been using this cream on my acne-prone normal/combination skin for almost 2 weeks now. I decied to simplify with organic based products and looked for a skin care regimen that had more moisture for the cold winter months ahead (I live in the NE region of the US). really like it alot for the purpose of a rich daily moisturizer. The moisture sinks in immediately, and it doesnt have a greasy or oily feel afterwards. I paid $12.99 for the bottle, and I only need a pea sized amount for my face and neck. At this rate, I anticipate it lasting a long time, probably at least 10 months with daily use, and it doesnt expire for 2 more years. I use this in conjunction with the Seaware Cleanser with excellent results. I was with the cleanser, then I tone w/ the Dessert Essence Tea Tree Oil pads, rinse, and put on this moisturizer. It works very well. I have read that acne-prone skin should use Rosa Mosquetta Oil carefully since it is heavily moisturizing and may cause breakouts, but I have had no problems - maybe because the Tea Tree oil swipes are helping to create a balance. Two thumbs up from me. The only thing would make it nicer is if the moisturizer came in a pump, but I'm sure I can buy one somewhere.

UPDATE JAN 2010 - I think I am allergic to this. Unfortunately, I began to itch after around week 4. Too bad, because it works so wonderfully. Oh well, still 5 lippies. Won't let my allergy imply that the product isnt a good one, because it is. But I can't use anymore - at least not regularly. But it cleanses and leaves my skin so soft, I can't bear to throw the bottle away - sometimes I still think its worth the sacrifice of an eyebrow itch or two... :)
