After a night spent eating ice cream and googling Angelina Jolie pictures, I decided I needed a lip plumper.
After discovering that this was the "strongest" (yes that needed quotes) lip plumper out there, I went out to purchase it. The clerk at Planet Beauty remarked "You are going to love this, it always sells out"
Okay...good so far I am pumped :p
I get to the car and apply, wait eagerly and......nada. I assume it was due to the fact I had a bit of lipstain on. which is total BS, I need a plumper that can cut through all my gunk.
Well the next day I reapplied, and it does tingle a slight bit (feels slightly numb) and after a few minutes my lips appeared slightly plumper and redder. But not to the extent where I was all "omg AJ lips!" To me it resembles the pout I have when I first wake up, or after a good make-out session.
But it is very shortlived, 30 minutes at max. And for $30 it should make my lips look downright porny for hours.
Overall, kinda dissapointed. Will still use because I am a cheap hoor, but will not rebuy.

The girl in Sephora insisted that my friends & I try this lip plumper. She was claiming that this one blows all the other lip plumpers out of the water. I was only in there to buy blush, but I said sure, what do I have to lose. So, she applied it to my lips & I waited about 6-7 minutes & it started burning. I looked in the mirror multiple times after she applied this, & all this honestly did was make my lips burn & turn red. There was absoloutley no difference whatsoever. My 2 other friends also put this on their lips, & got the exact same results as me. The girl that worked there kept saying how she sees a big difference in all of our lips....yea, she was so full of it. After we honestly said that we literally saw no difference, (in which she should have respected our honesty), she put it on her own lips to further "demonstrate" how we didn't know what we were talking about. There was no difference on her lips either, (except her lips turning red), & even she couldn't deny that. So, after that, she pretty much had nothing left to say. So I guess I proved my point. This does absoloutley nothing, don't be a sucker & waste your money. If this didn't do anything for 4 different people with 4 different lip types, I'm sure it won't do anything for anyone else either. Moral of the story: Don't let sales associates sucker you into believing you absoloutley need something that doesn't work, just because they need commission. I work on commission too, but I would never lie to customers to make them believe this piece of nothing works. If this is considered the "EXTREME" version of this lip plumper, I'd hate to see how the original one works. continued >>

This is not for the faint-hearted. I have medium size lips and I returned lip venom since it didn't do much for me. The moment I put Too Faced Extreme Lip Injection on, my lips were on pure FIRE. I ended up with huge, flaming red lips. I joked that I had lip injections and people BELIEVED IT. Although, I am not sure if it worth the pain. It stung my lips so bad that it even got into my throat and burned it.... I may have had an allergic reaction to it or something. I think I will stick to Buxom's friendly Lip Plumper because this really is.... EXTREME. Again, I may have had a strange reaction to it so I'm not saying it's a bad product... It works-- just too much and too strong for me!

I haven't used any other lip injections or anything similar to this so i have nothing to compare it to but i love this! It definitely makes my lips look bigger after applying. As other reviews have said it doesn't last for a long time but i tend to use this as a lipgloss, applying it throughout the day, rather than as a morning/night treatment. It stung the very first time i put it on but after that it's been very slight. Very happy with this product and although it's expensive i would definitely buy it again as, for me, it does what it claims to.

I've been using this for about a week now, and damn! I LOVE IT!
I have naturally plump lips, but I like some extra oomph. For years I used the original Lip Venom, which worked for me, but I never appreciated its overly shiny, THICK and sticky texture. I used to put it on, leave it on for ten minutes, then wipe it off. I also tried the 2nd Sin Lip Venom, which was OK, several drugstore plumpers, and Sexy Motherpucker, which frankly looked like crap on me.
Extreme Lip Injection is IT. This is what I've been looking for as far as a lip plumper goes! My BFF thinks it's funny that I am obsessed with having even fatter lips, but when he saw me apply this he was shocked. "You LITERALLY just look like you walked out of a surgeon's office!" was the reaction.
The product itself is a lightweight serum, in a clear opalescent color. This doesn't add the thick, glasslike shine of Lip Venom, which was great for me. I am not big on lipglosses since I have very long hair and just find glosses gross and annoying most of the time. So I really liked that this was more of a treatment, and less of a gloss.
At first application I was upset because it turned my already rosy lips VERY red, as well as the skin around my lips. I hate that! I was not in the market for a "stained" or "bitten" color. However, after the first few times using it, my lips didn't get nearly as red, and I make sure not to get it on the skin around my lips. The redness that I do get does fade away quickly. If it didn't, that would be a dealbreaker for me personally.
There is a burning feeling when you apply this, but really, this is a lip plumper. No pain, no gain. I don't see a reason to complain about plumpers being stingy, because they just are. Pain = beauty sometimes! Personally, I like the burn and I don't think it's that bad. It hurts way less than I assume getting injections would.
Myself and the people close to me have noticed that this stuff really does work, and my lips look fuller and plumper than ever. I've been applying it morning and night as suggested. This product has much better lasting power than other plumpers I've used, and I'm seeing better results.
Right now, this is my HG lip plumper, bar none. If you have superthin lips I'm not sure how well it would work, but like I said, my lips are pretty full already and this stuff makes my lips HUGE.

Love this product. Burns, but it's tolerable if you start with a small amount and work your way up (but everyone has different sensitivities). The opalescent gloss looks great and feels great... not too gross/sticky. Plumps my lips every time and they never "get immune" to it. Only sucky part is how expensive it is!

If you're into plumping glosses then this is the HG. I'm not going to lie and say it doesn't burn because it does - but it's not that painful. It doesn't have that minty feel that lip venom does...to me it tastes like red bull energy drink. This makes my lips swell and gives them a sort of reddish color to where I usually don't need lip stick. (though I already have pigmented lips).

I've been meaning to review this for months! I got this product in December 2010. I apply it once a day, at night. The directions say to apply it 2x a day but if I put it on in the morning it just comes right off drinking tea and whatnot.
I have noticed a very nice plumping effect even though I use it only half the recommended amount. This isn't going to make your lips look surgically plumped, but it fills out fine lines nicely and gives my average size lips a very full and round appearance.
It is a bit on the pricey side, especially here in Sweden, but since I've had mine for about 5.5 months and I'm still not out, I consider it a good purchase.
If you are looking to change your very thin lips into something more, I would suggest another route. I don't think there is anything topical out there that will do much more than this, and it doesn't perform miracles. It's just MLBB :)

It's a miracle! This stuff actually works, and I really didn't think lip plumpers could... I bought it because I felt like I had to try it, and I'm glad I did. I put a little on my hand in the shop, and when I saw the patch go red and kind of textured/swollen, I knew this stuff meant business!
I already have quite full tips, I wanted them fuller especially as my top lip is thinner when I smile. This really plumps up my lips, and with lipliner and gloss on top, gives me the lips I wish I had! I apply it like a lip primer and give it a few minutes to work before putting lip colour over it. It stings like crazy! But despite the immediate pain, it really has no negative effect on lips - if anything they're in better condition than before. Keep the product on your lips because if you go over the edge your skin goes really red where it touches. Although I sometimes put some on the edge at my cupid's bow for a 'bee-stung' look.
I gave this product a 5/5 because it does what it says, but actually I don't wear it a lot. The main problem is I apply lip injection while I'm doing my make-up, then by the time my lips are plumped up I apply lipliner, lipstick and gloss. I go out and have fun, then I check in the mirror a couple of hours later and most of my lipstick has rubbed off and my lips have gone back to their normal size so I have a ring of lipliner outside my lips - it looks so odd. I need to reapply everything... I would also worry that the skin around your mouth would get sore if you kept using this all the time. But for special occasions, it does what it says on the bottle - which for a product like this is quite remarkable!

I have this version and the regular Lip Injection. I wish I could say that the regular one is better because it's cheaper, I think it feels better, and the packaging is soooo much better. But I've found with the regular Lip Injection that it will plump my lips once or twice and then they are completely immune to it's affects. Then it just becomes a gooey shiny gloss with no results.
I've noticed with the Extreme one though that it plumps every time. My lips get a pretty rosey color and they just look so much meatier. I have to say that this is probably one of the best plumpers on the market and I've tried everything from all the drugstore ones to every Lip Fusion one, to my own homemade plumpers, to random plumpers people have made and sell on Etsy.
However, this product is called Lip Injection (Extreme) and it has a picture of a needle on it. And I think if you're going to label a product that way, that i should freakin look like i had work done. and the truth is... i just don't. Yes the lips are plumper and look really good but they aren't as plump as i would hope for a product with this name.
Another downside is terrible packing. This product is expensive, 30 bucks i believe. And it insanely messy. I haven't read any other reviews of other people having this problem but mine is just a huge mess. After every single use, when i go to close the gloss back up, a bunch of it oozes out of the bottom of the lid. Then it gets all over and it's just not pretty. I can't keep it in my purse or makeup bag for this reason. I've tried being so careful and so neat and it doesn't work. i still get gloss everywhere in the end.
i also don't like the feel of the gloss. it's not the tingly burn that i have a problem with, it's the fact that it is sooooo gooey and heavy. plus it doesn't stay on very long and the plumping doesn't last very long. i have to reapply it a lot.
one thing i can't comment on yet though is the long term affects. this stuff is supposed to give long term results if you use it religiously which i have not done. i keep telling myself i will and then i get distracted by other glosses.
But i do recommend this product if you're looking for a good plumper. Just keep in mind though that we are all different. This product doesn't plump at all for some people but plumps like crazy on others. And it doesn't help that people think a product is working just because of the thingle so they put in their reviews that the product is amazing and wokring because they can feel the burn. I'm sorry people, but you have to LOOK in the mirror. Just because you FEEL something, doesn't mean anything.
anyway, for ME... this product does not give me that lip injected look. however, this is the only product that people seem to noticed a difference with. ive noticed every time after i apply it, my mom gives me these double takes and keeps looking at my mouth like she's trying to figure out what's different. lol.
i will repurchase... but only from ebay where it's a lot cheaper.

This did not plump my lips at all. It did however burn and turn my lips blood red, (not a look I like). It also did not stay within the lip line, so it made my whole mouth area look blotchy and red. Even after washing off it stiill burned. This was painful and looked horrible.

I bought this knowing it probably wasn't going to make my lips much bigger or pout-ier. I'm not even sure why I bought it actually, especially at $28 for a tiny tube. I'm a dumbass.
I did not experience any burning sensation, in fact I barely even got a tingle.
However, even with no burning, I did notice a very slight plumping effect which lasts maybe 30min and then it's over.
I just don't think these results warrant a $28 price tag. I won't buy again.
And until there is a major break thru in topical lip plumpers, I'm just not going to believe the hype anymore.

I bought this because for some reason I really wanted a lip plumper, and this one seemed promising because it's "extreme" and I thought it would give me the best results. Well this is pretty extreme, in that it hurt my lips extremely bad. I can't deal with the stinging feeling this gives, it's just strange to put crap like this on your lips. I still have mine but it just sits around collecting dust.
Oh and as AliciaHT mentioned, it's a bad idea to kiss someone while wearing this. I kissed someone while I was wearing this and it was a little embarrassing when they asked why their lips felt like they were burning. That's part of the reason I no longer use this.

I like the lip plumping that it gives. It you use it once in the morning and once in the night it does start to fill in any lines and plump your lips up, but only subtly. I didn't want anything crazy, but I did want a little more "oompf!!" to my lips and when applied once in the morning and once at night it does the trick. It's been about 3 weeks now, and I definitely notice a difference, even during the afternoon when I'm slathering my lips with gloss or chapstick. It's a good product if you stick to applying it religiously morning and night and don't mind tingling. Personally, I like the tingling, it kind of makes me feel like I *know* it's doing it's thing lol

I tried maybe 3 or 4 plumpers (mine are already full) but sometimes I just want that extra little oomph. This does the trick for sure. I love the tingle it gives- I know it's really working. In my experience, the the amount of tingling you get directly correlates to the results.

I am normally very sceptical about this sort of thing so was amazed that this product actually works! I also own the original Lip Injection but this one works better and I much prefer the consistency. (For reference, my lips aren't overtly thin but aren't big, I'm somewhere in the middle.)

Yes I'm afraid it really does sting quite a lot, but I personally don't find it painful and can easily ignore it. Besides, the stinging only lasts for a couple of minutes. If you're worried about the stinging, if possible, try before you buy because I imagine that some people may find the stinging very uncomfortable.

Once the stinging has subsided I am left with noticeable fuller lips and increased redness. A true 'bee-stung', pouty effect! I love the effect this gives.

Unfortunately, the effect doesn't last very long and to regain the poutyness you have to reapply. However, I am yet to be aware of a product (that doesn't cost hundreds!) that is longer lasting. Disregarding the temporary nature of the effect, this is a nice lip gloss. It's smooth and not at all sticky, and feels quite moisturising. It's clear but slightly iridescent, as the light reflecting off the iridescent particles helps to give the illusion of fuller, smoother lips.

To summarise, this does work, but the effect is only temporary. Too Faced claim that if you use this morning and night continuously you will get permanently plumper lips but I think that this claim is a little far fetched. I've been using this product for months and not noticed a permanent difference in my lips and I wouldn't really want to use this at night as it would feel like a waste given the temporary plumping effect.

NB: A word of warning! Don't kiss someone when you are wearing this, unless you take pleasure in giving people nasty surprises!
