I love this sunscreen. It is very light sunscreen with high SPF protection. The texture is just like water. It doesn't leave your skin an oily touch at all. More importantly, it didn't break me out or cause irritation. My favorite sunscreen so far.

Pros:
-This is very lightweight and great for my oily skin.

I would purchase it again because it does not make my face greasy.

I have the melt-in bb cream version of this. I apply this religiously when I'm going out to work cause of the high spf protection. *Sunspot Paranoia* It does make the face slightly more oily, but not overly so. I'm an MAC NC 15 and this color is fine for me, blends in well. Coverage is only average but it is quite natural :) It's quite pricey at S$49 for 30ml but I'll do anything to prevent sunspots or toasting in the sun. It's not perfect but I can't live without it lol~ At least until another high spf product can replace this :D

I got lots of free samples of this, I really like it, it's light enough and feels comfortable on your skin, and it's easy to put on your makeup afterwards too, I usually put this right after my sodium hyaluronate serum and then my foundation, I don't use another layer of lotion as I think it's too much for my skin, it works really well even without another layer of lotion.
I like it, I haven't bought it so far because I got LOTS of free samples, and I think it's kinda expensive.

I just bought a bottle. I think its one of the newer products so it has a PPD of 18. Not sure of where one of the reviewers bought hers but I bought mine for about SGD 40(after 20% discount. Original price is 49.90.) I agree its a bit expensive but I think its worth it. I used to use another of LRP's sunscreen (can't remember its name but its orange in colour) and it was super oily for my skin. It's better after I apply on some loose powder though it will still become slightly oily throughout the day. I like the fact that its slightly tinted; when it's applied on, your skin kinda looks glowly and radiant. My mom loves it too after she used it and she went to buy another bottle immediately for herself.
i stay in singapore so its hot and humid all the time; not sure how good this product will be in a dryer climate though.

This sunscreen is sold in Asia only. I got the new version with PPD 16 (I think the older version is PPD 10 or 11) and it costs around USD33 including tax for a 30ml bottle. The texture and finish are very similar to LRP's Fluide Extreme, maybe only slightly lighter but the PPD is also lower. It has a very liquidy texture, similar to Sofina or Shiseido, but oilier than the other two. While the two Japanese sunscreens leave a very matte finish, this one does leave a shine. However it is nothing terrible and the shine can be taken away with some powder and a light blotting once during the day. Overall it's not bad and I like it, but I will not repurchase because I find it very similar to the Fluide Extreme and I'd rather just use the FE. FE is cheaper, and has higher PPD.
Edited September 2008: I no longer use this susncreen on my face. It's just too greasy and after 2 weeks of continuos use, it gave me clogged pores and some cysts on my chin. I think my skin can't tolerate Meroxyl. Downgrade this to two Lippies

Great product and this is already my 4th bottle. Have been using it for the past 2years. I was introduced to this brand by my dermalogist. So far this is the only sunsreen that doesn't cause my acne-prone to breakout or makes my oily face look oilier.
It comes in a small bottle. There seems to be a mixing ball in the bottle and you have shake it a few times before using it. The texture is milky and there isn't any suncreen smell. I will pat on some loose powder a few minutes after I have applied this suncreen, so as to make my face look more matte.
It is a bit pricey for such a small bottle of suncreen though. It costs about SGD$58 in Singapore. However a little goes a long way. A bottle can usually last for about 4 months.
Will definately continue using this ; )

In addition to my current L'oreal UV Perfect sunscreen, I've just gotten hold of 2 other mexoryl sunscreens rated SPF 50 PA +++ from companies managed by L'oreal:
(1) VIchy UV.Active Daily Protective Anti-Pigmentation Fluid SPF 50 PA+++,
(2) La Roche Posay Uvidea XL SPF 50 PPD 10.
(3) L'oreal UV Perfect XL Block Advanced Fluid Protector SPF 50 PA+++ (see my review for this)
Having compared the ingredients, finish, and price of these 2 sunscreens with the L'oreal UV Perfect that I reviewed before, here's my verdict:
1. What's the same: All 3 sunscreens have virtually identical ingredients, (The 1st 20 ingredients are completely identical, and listed in the same order in all 3 sunscreens).
2. What differs: Both the vichy and la roche posay sunscreens are fragrance-free, while the l'oreal one contains fragrance. Also, the LRP sunscreen contains myrstic acid and palmitic acid, listed just before the parabens. The L'oreal sunscreen has a list of fragrance ingredients that come just after the preservatives. The vichy sunscreen has none of those.
3. How they feel:
If you are going to buy the vichy uv active, I'd say forget it. It feels exactly the same - identical to the l'oreal uv perfect, in terms of its finish which is somewhat tacky.
The LRP sunscreen has the best finish: it goes on sticky, but dries to a clean, smooth feel in about 5-10 minutes. If you have oily skin, I'd say splurge on this. The other two would make anyone with even slightly oily skin shine like a greased frying pan.
4) How they smell (or don't smell): Although both the LRP and Vichy sunscreens are fragrance-free, they do nonetheless have a detectable scent.
Vichy - faint, neutral lotion smell, identical to what I get from Olay total effects fragrance-free. The most pleasant smell of all 3 sunscreens.
LRP - very unfortunate, but this has that unmistakable sunscreen smell. It fades a little, but the smell is still there if you sniff closely.
L'oreal - the typical l'oreal fragrance you get from their skincare line. Fairly strong, as evinced by the long list of fragrance ingredients that come after the parabens.
Final comments:
If you're considering any of these 3 sunscreens, definitely go for the L'oreal UV perfect if you are not allergic to fragrance in your skincare, and is on a budget. This is by far the cheapest - less than half the price of the vichy or LRP. So do give this a try if you're ever in Asia. Its available in most drugstores and supermarkets.
Get the LRP if you're even a tad oily - the vichy and l'oreal can be very unforgiving on skin that has a tendency to shine.
Forget about the vichy because it seriously isn't worth the money, imo. It doesn't have a better finish than l'oreal, (LRP wins there), it costs far more, and its only grace is that there is no obvious sunscreen smell.
For myself, I will definitely repurchase the L'oreal, and get the LRP one if I have cash to spare, or if my skin suddenly becomes oily for some reason or other. Otherwise, the L'oreal one works very well for me right now. I'm also assuming that both the L'oreal and Vichy sunscreens share the same PPD as the La Roche Posay one, in light of the identical ingredients list.

This is my ultimate summer sunscreen. A LRP sunscreen devotee since my teen years, I've always hated the oily formulation of the brand's sunscreens. This LRP product however has an almost watery consistency to it, in fashion very typical of Asian/Japanese sunscreens. The main reason behind this however, is the alcohol in it; yet it moisturized my skin enough to control my oil production in Taiwan's humid summer months. Due to the alcohol, this is probably not a good buy for anywhere but the most humid and hot of places and times, but for those times, godalmighty, I'm heading straight to my UVIDEA.
