I was looking for a sunscreen to use on my face which would dry clear and a gel sounded perfect. This product is far from perfect. It went on fine, but if I touched my face at all or dared to apply makeup to it, the gel would pill off my skin (I think others have described it as it "balling up.") The pilling off my skin was a big deal to me because the most important part of sunscreen is that it STAY ON! Why would I put something on my skin to protect it, which doesn't stay on my skin? I rarely return anything to a store, but this one went definitely had to go back.

terrible, awful, just a waste of my money! i should have paid attention to these reviews, they are all true. i never knew what people meant when they said it 'balled up' but yep, now i do! this stuff smells soo strongly of alcohol, it burns my eyes fromt he smell. the gel is light and cool going on, which is the only thing this stuff has going for it -- then when you try to spread it around it balls up in these little clumps all over your face! i tried to smooth my tinted sunscreen on over it, and then i had a mess, i had to tie my hair back and wash my face and start over - this stuff is not worth it at any price.

I'm dissapointed. I thought this was going to a nice basic oil free gel. Instead the consistency was at times watery and did leak from the cap. If applied well, it would form little dried up bits on the skin. It smells like alcohol and feels like it had it too.

I'm super oily and wanted a more sheer daily sunscreen than the one I've been using. Neutrogena Dry Touch is like Crisco on me. Enter this product. This goes on in a very thin alcohol-scented gel, much like Coppertone's sunscreen gel. The pore refining capabilities sucked me in, but aside from the silicone, I can't quite figure out what is doing the "refining." I substracted one lippie because this product seems to seep out the hole even when closed. Not a very good design. For this price, I don't want to waste a drop. Also, when applied to clean skin, it sort of coagulates and "rolls up," and this is worsened if you put any product over it. This, like other sunscreen gels I've used, goes on extremely shiny, so I have to use a mattifier over it. While liquid sunscreens give me no problems, this one rolls up and forms little balls when anything is put on top. It would probably burn a drier skin, but it's fine on mine. I like the slight pinkish look it gives me. Still could use a lot of improvement, but on the plus side, I am less oily after several hours in this than I usually am in other sunscreens. continued >>

Along with the salicylic wash i purchased this....sucks. Burned my skin, i had all these bumps around my face. Right back to sephora it went along with the wash. DDF is a harsh line wouldnt use it if you have sensitive skin or even normal skin. I would stick to a more natural line. Can get a better outcome because your skin isnt being burned off at the same time. Im going to try the sonya dakar irritation line along with the acne mask.

I have been using Daily Sun Gel every morning under my makeup, and while I'm not wild about it, it has its definite good points.
PROS:
Daily Sun Gel has a smooth, silky gel texture that seems to make my pores a bit smaller and to make my makeup go on more evenly. It doesn't irritate my skin, and it feels clean on my face.
CONS:
SPF 15 really isn't much, and many women are probably looking for more. Like many sunscreens, the gel can ball up (only slightly and occasionally for me) if you try to rub it over an area where it's already been applied and dried. And this gel texture seems to have alcohol in it, so it can sting a bit when you apply (not enough to bother me, but those with very sensitive skin might want to pass it up). It's also not especially moisturizing and so may be a better choice for summer than winter for many women.
BOTTOM LINE:
I'm on the fence with this. It's expensive ($35) and, while it does protect my skin without irritating it and make my pores a bit finer and my makeup smoother, it doesn't really wow me or take care of any flakiness or drier areas on my face. I might save this for summer face care.
