I might purchase again, as it is a good mineral type sunscreen and I liked the scent and the fact that it didn't make me break out. But to use the amount one should use on face, neck and upper chest that is exposed in a v-neck shirt, the tube lasts me just a few weeks. It's a bit expensive for that. I wear it in the winter, when I use a bit less, and need the extra moisture. Summertime I use the regular Aveda spf sunscreen for face and body in the big tube (that's both mineral and chemical sunscreen, but gentle)

Finding a wearable mineral sunscreen is - for some reason - painful and expensive. This one is okay. Tiny tube. If you use the amount you're supposed to use, this lasts about three weeks. For $25. The SPF is only 15 which makes it suitable for sitting in an office. Like all TD/ZO products, breakouts are a given. Has the usual thick application. Doesn't smell as bad as the chemical sunscreens. Could be used under Aveda's powder foundation make-up. It ends up being an impulse buy instead of a staple which sunscreen needs to be. Aveda can - and should - do better.

Bought this product on a whim at the Aveda store (where I'm always suckered into making impulse purchases...) and wish I had checked out the reviews here first. I love that this product is natural and absorbs into my skin easily. But it's super greasy (I don't wear powder or foundation and my skin looks shiny when I wear this), expensive, and doesn't smell as good as other Aveda products. There must be better sunscreens out there.

I agree with the other reviewers that this leaves skin feeling a little oily. However, it does not seem to cause me to get acne so I just cover it up with some powder. For the natural ingredients and UVA/UVB protection, I haven't found anything better yet. I do hate the packaging, though-- the lotion leaks into the cap and collects there, turning pasty over time.

I have oily skin, and was looking for a light-weight moisturizer with SPF. I also have acne prone skin, so I didn't want to irritate it. This product is heavy and really oily. I didn't like it at all.

This is the first non-chemical sunscreen I've ever used that didn't leave a white film on my skin. The downside is that it's a bit watery and hella expensive. However, for reliable protection that doesn't make me look like a ghost, I'd maybe pay even twice that. I don't use this on my body because it's so expensive but I do religiously apply it to my face, neck and decollete. Because of that, a tube lasts me about two months. I think if I only applied on my face it would last much longer. Would definitely repurchase. EDIT: I ran an analysis of this sunscreen on Ciba's website and the real SPF is 5.8, the PPD is 3.5, the Japanese rating is PA++ and the Boots rating (for some reason) is ***. In other words, I will not be repurchasing this. And I wouldn't recommend it either.

This tube of moisturizer with UVA/UVB protection (SPF 15) cost me $25 at an Aveda salon- ouch! The good news is, I didn't waste my money. I can use this.
I have oily skin and it's oilier in the T-Zone. This sinks in right away and is 100% oil free. Wonderful herbal Aveda smell. It also is easy to blend makeup on top of- no streaking or product interaction with some heavy sunscreens.
This is not a very moisturizing product if you have dry skin, but it's wonderful for my oily skin. Will definitely repurchase, although probably on Ebay.
The drawback on this one is the Aveda sunsceen- it isn't the most
breathable, which isn't too perfect for oily skin. It's not terrible, not like Mary Kay Timewise SPF15, but the sunscreen isn't my favorite. Leaves a whitish cast.
