I will never go without this stuff again, it is magic. I've always struggled with stubborn acne, some of it cystic, and I've tried every overnight spot treatment you could think of. People are always singing the praises of using the Proactiv refining mask($20) or the DDF sulfur refining mask($40), and I've tried both with fairly successful results, but nothing this amazing. This can shrink a huge, under the skin pimple overnight, and as for smaller blemishes, they disappear overnight. The formula stays on all night and doesnt rub off, as many spot treatments do, because it is in liquid form. As someone who yas struggled with acne for the last decade, I am never quick to positively review a product and find most acne combating products dissapointing and only mildly effective. This is the only acne treatment I have ever sworn by.
In order for this to really work fast, you have to get rid of any liquid inside your pimple; even if it doesn't come to a head, try to get rid of any puss if possible. Once you apply this it will dry it very quickly.
Prescription vs. Byebye Blemish:
I popped one pimple and used my Rx Differin and Aczone. Pimple stayed pudgy and red even after 3 days.. I popped another pimple 3 days later, used Byebye blemish, and the pimple was flattened, NOT red and dried so fast! By the next day it healed so much faster! What a difference. I tried Byebye on, without popping a pimple and it did absolutely nothing.
If your pimple doesn't come to a head, dab peroxide on it, if it doesn't come to a head, it's hormonal and deep, you can try to use those M3 patches that draws the puss to the surface without breaking skin or leaving scars!! I'd use a stronger salicylic content to shrink stubborn pimples instead of this product.
This stuff is awesome! Just dab some on a pimple before bed or even during the day if you're just going to be around the house. The pimple will shrink considerably overnight and will usually be gone within 3 or 4 days, unless it's really stubborn. My only grip with this is that the alcohol in the bottle runs out way faster than the sulfur. But if you just add some alcohol to the bottle once it gets low, problem fixed! I got mine for free at Ulta because I had some points to redeem, but I believe it was around $11 or $12. I'd say it's worth a shot!
This stuff is awesome. Dries my pimples out and fast. If you apply it as soon as you feel a pimple coming on it usually stops the pimple in it's tracks. Bought my bottle at ULTA. It was only like $8. A must try!!!
This stuff is in my occasional zit arsenal, sitting next to the Neutrogena 2% benzoyl cream.
I reach for Bye Bye Blemish when I have the kind of pimple that is deep, sore, and doesn't seem like it will come to a head anytime soon, if ever. The nasty cyst that I'll notice creeping up. I dab this on at night (and during the day, rubbed in well so it's not visible) and by the third night, the spot has begun shrinking and flattening- something it wouldn't do if left alone. The benzoyl peroxide products tend to just make a dry patch on these types of cystic zits but don't shrink them like this stuff does. It is not a miracle and I've never had it make a zit disappear overnight, but it does work, and I always have it in hand.
I was interested in buying this product because of the sulphur , my skin has great results with sulphur , I have previously used Benzyl peroxide on my whiteheads and it didn't help at all sometimes they got inflamed more when I used the BP but with the Sulphur it drys the whitehead and keeps it from getting inflamed and thats why I love this product ^.^ I wish I could use it under makeup but sadly this is a product that's only meant to be used when your at home all day or just meant to be used at night , just hate that the pink sediment is half way of the glass bottle its not filled up like I thought it would be , I personally think this sulphur spot treatment is only great for whiteheads , when I get hormonal breakouts on my jawline ( like cystic type of pimples) Benzyl peroxide is great for those type of pimples but sulphur doesn't do much for them , I wish they had this product at my local store but none of them carry it , I ordered it from Amazon for a great price and i will keep repurchasing it , this is the only spot treatment I know that is great to get rid of whiteheads , I recommend this product 100% ^.^
I had this huge pimple on my nose (like Rudolph) and i became a bit desperate so I bought this product. Uh uh. it just wasn't cutting it for me. The first morning after i applied it, my pimple became a lot bigger but it at least brought it to a head. The second night tho, it became much much!!! bigger :( needless to say, i'm pretty dissapointed. It was not what I expected for the $11 i spent on this. Of course it might just be my stubborn skin... Still I wouldn't re purchase.
I have moderate to severe acne, and was looking for a spot treatment that would help reduce the size and severity of the pimples on my face. After reading glowing reviews of this product on several different websites, I decided to purchase this drying lotion.
This spot treatment has been relatively disappointing. After dipping a q-tip into the product and applying it to my acne, I generally leave it on for several hours and it literally does nothing to help reduce or clear the pimple. Rather, I feel it simply sits on top of the acne, much like concealer would do. It is easily wiped off, and consequently I can't wear it to bed without it getting on my pillow, and thus becoming ineffective on treating acne. It cannot be worn under make-up or while going out, because the product itself is pink and is very noticeable.
I have used dozens upon dozens of spot treatments in the 5 years I've been struggling with acne, and this is certainly one of the worst spot treatment's I've ever used. However, it seems to work for most, so I would recommended giving it a try. Everybody's skin is different!
An excellent alternative to Mario Badescu's drying lotion. It's less expensive ($10 vs $17) and is just as effective. I don't have a serious acne problem but I am clog prone and get stress/TOTM pimples. This is the only treatment that works for me. It doesn't make my pimples disappear entirely but it definitely reduce in size overnight and they clear up more quickly. If MB's drying lotion works for you (it's definitely a "your mileage may vary" kind of product) I suggest checking this out.
This review is for Bye Bye Blemish Drying Lotion. This product is not listed, but I have fell in love with it so needed to write a review. I have been using this drying lotion for the past two weeks. It works best if you put it on a spot where you feel a pimple is about to form. A couple days ago I could tell a pimple was about to pop up right on my chin because when I was washing my face, that spot hurt to the touch. I immediately put this drying lotion right where it hurt and hoped that it would kill in its tracks. I left it on overnight, and the next morning there was still nothing that came up, but it still did hurt to the touch when I washed my face. Again, the next night I did the same thing. The next morning, there still wasn't anything there, and now the pain was gone also. This product killed my little evil pimple before it even showed its face! For pimples that are already up, I put this on and the next morning it is not gone, but you can definitely tell its smaller. Usually my pimples are very stubborn and take maybe 5-6 days to go down in size and disappear, but with this drying lotion, each next morning it is a little smaller and smaller, and pimples are usually gone within 2 days. That's an incredible difference for me. I have also tried Mario Badescu's drying lotion, which worked well, but this works just as well for a fraction of the price, I love this product and definitely will continue to use it.
