I am loving this foundation!!! For the longest time I used Sue Devitt foundation because its super lightweight and moisturizing, but I've also used Giorgio Armani, Lorac, Smashbox, Clinique, Laura Mercier, Mac and more. I now use a mix of Black Opal Stick Foundation in Hazelnut and Mac ProLongwear NW45. I love how the Black Opal color is so vibrant and rich. The stick makes it so easy to apply on your skin!!!! I place it on my skin and then blend it with a moist flat top brush.
I have dry skin, so I always moisturize with Ponds lotion and then Johnson's baby oil gel. Afterwords I put this foundation on and it looks so smooth and effortless! I love that its a medium to full coverage but it doesn't look or feel super heavy. And it looks great in photographs. No ashiness, no gray cast in pictures. Just a beautiful, rich brown shade. This is the most inexpensive foundation I've ever used on my face, I never use drugstore foundations, and yet this is one of my favorite foundations I have ever used!!!
While stalking the shelves of the Rite Aid next to my office as I regularly do, I came across this little gem...
After quickly MakeUp Alley-ing and You Tube-ing it, I realized it was something I absolutely needed in my life.
Let me tell you that this is BOMB DOT COM!!!
Full, flawless, impeccable coverage!
I bought three shades. Kalahari Sand, Truly Topaz and Hazelnut.
When I use the 3 shades, it gives me that perfectly contoured/highlighted 3 dimensional face.
This foundation is multi functional as it serves as concealer and foundation.
I wear the lightest shade as a concealer and highlighter, which BTW does not cake up.
The last two shades work as foundation and contour.
The packaging is a convenient twist up tube which allows better dispensing control.
The lasting power on me is an entire work day and then some...approximately 8-8!
Please note that you MUST prime and set this product as it can transfer and crease if you don"t.
The finish is dewey, but with a setting powder can be semi-matte. This has not irritated or broken me out.
The ladies at work compliment my skin when I wear this which is a good sign that I got it right this time! LOL.
I will continue to purchase this :)

Oh mah gawd! Why the hell have I been shelling out all this doggone money for MAC, Estee Lauder and other higher end foundations. I could have gone to Wal Mart and gotten this wonderfully thick and pigmented FULL COVERAGE foundation a long time ago for $9! This is my first day wearing this but I had to stop by and update you ladies on the wonders of this stick foundation. I love this much more than the IMAN version as this is thick, pigmented and Hazlenut is perfect for my NW45 complexion. I wear Rich Cocoa in Estee Lauder Double Wear for additional reference. Hazlenut is a tad darker than both of the previous colors I mentioned but richer and a bit redder also. I love it. A little bit goes a very long way with this stick foundation. I set it with MAC Blot Powder but will be using a primer underneath from now on as this is a bit oily. Anyway, will report back after a few weeks of wear.

One night while surfing You-tube I came upon a review for this foundation, The makeup guru raved about what a great full coverage foundation it was. So off I went to purchase it.
It's cheap I paid $8.99, it comes with a ton of product a little goes a long way.Its packaged in a black plastic tubular container. You can twist up and dot around on your face and blend with brush or sponge.
Its creamy and gives you full coverage. The foundation gives you a velvety flawless complexion. I ask my boyfriend what he thought after I put some on , he asked "did i have anything on". that made me smile. You don't need an concealer unless you want super coverage. I notice a lot of ladies complained that it would melt off their face and get everywhere or It didn't hold up in hot weather.
This is how I got it to work for me. I wore this foundation in 100 degree weather and I have the oiliest skin. The key is to use a face Primer. I used Mac face primer let that set for about 2 minutes. I dotted the foundation on my forehead , cheeks, nose and chin. I buff the foundation into my skin with a Sigma F82. After that here is the important part SET WITH POWDER! I used Mac mineralize face powder and dusted two coats on to make sure i hit every spot on my face. I was out about for 8 hours and blotted twice. The foundation still looked just as good when I left the house. So this has been my go-to foundation going on 2 weeks and I'm in Love.

I absolutely love this product because it matches my skin perfectly. I have very oily skin and even though this product produces a lot of oil, I have finally found perfect primers to help control it. My problem? Oh boy, this product has no staying power. At all. It dissolves into oblivion leaving my face with all the concealer I put on, in other words, a clown. I will probably only use this foundation if I'm going somewhere quick to act like I don't "have any makeup on". I give it no more than 3 hours tops.
Pros
- Buildable (light to full coverage)
- Great colours
- Easy to blend
- Cheap
- Flawless finish
Cons
- Awful makeup smell, that doesn't fade (sort of smells like playdough)
- Oily
- Transfers so easily
- Breakouts (NOT for daily wear, my skin revolts after wearing this)
Overall - best finish out of any foundation I currently have and the best colour match I wear a MAC NW45 (not a perfect match or even close) and I wear Beautiful Bronze in this.
I purely wouldn't buy it again, because it gives me breakouts.

This foundation in the shade carob is my exact shade. I don't have a major acne problem but I do have discoloration on my cheeks....I also have a few scars from pimples that came up during that time when I didn't know how to take care of my face. My skin is also oily.
Pro: excellent coverage....blends easily...gives me a natural but flawless finish
Con: it tends to be oily and it tranfers....transferring is something that happens with a lot of make up that I have tried so i don't worry 2 much about that. Touching your face, especially with hands that are not clean isn't good for your facial skin anyway so I just try not to touch my face....but anyhow, the oiliness is really not an issue once I have primed my face with milk of magnesia...when I put the black opal over that, it literally soaks alllll the oil out the foundation an just gives me a matte finish....not ashy but just a fresh look...and it lasts all day. I am usually out and about in the day then I just go straight to work at night and I just need to blot my nose, apply a little powder and my face is good as new. I try not to apply to much or it looks cakey. A little goes a long way. I usually set this with Mac studio fix powder and then put black opal oil absorbing powder on my nose just because it gets super oily there. I love the stick because I just wind it up and swipe it on my face...I don't have to touch it at all unless my brushes are dirty and I have to use my fingers. It was $20 here in Barbados so that's a little less that 10 US....great price for such an amazing product. Will most definitely repurchase!
This makeup stick is okay --- that's it, just OKAY. The problem is that it transfers --- it does not set and at times can feel greasy.
Even setting it with powder keeps it from being greasy for a short time only. I also have worn makeup base under it and the same thing, it gets on everything.
It's not horrible, but if you like your makeup to stay put, this one probably isn't the one for you.
This right here is the Holy Grail of foundation! Perfect coverage! I have to mix Heavenly Honey and TrulyTopaz for my perfect match but that's fine by me. Truly Topaz is perfect for the summer months on its own and yay!!! no more mixing now they have a new shade Rich Caramel which is right between those two shades I've been using. Only downer is that it does transfer. I'm oily by once set with powder it still lasts me an entire evening. I dont use this in the day period, between the constant blotting and transfer I'd go nuts but it's still worth it. Besides I dont need this much coverage for daytime. My makeup bag will NEVER be without this!!! :D

I've been on the search for a foundation stick that won't break me out for some time now. Found a review on this on youtube and ran to walmart to purchase. I bought Kalahari sand for inner face, Heavenly Honey for outside and Nutmeg to contour.
This fdtn would be great BUT it melts off my face within 3 hours. I don't even have oily skin so I'm confused as to why this happens. Oh and god forbid I accidentally touch my face..whatever I touch after leaves a tan trail (including papers, my white macbook, my phone, my bf's shirts/pillows..)
Sucks because this is one of the few fdtns that don't break me out. I'm going to try Fashion Fair next...
UPDATE 1/16: Yep...I still despise this foundation. I've moved onto Smashbox 16 hour.
