I looove this moisturizer. I use this on in the morning after I take a shower and what not. I live in Tx with the blazing hot sun but I'm a lazy bum who doesn't like to put on moisturizer and then sunblock so this is the product for me! It's light enough to put makeup on top easily and comfortably and isn't too oily- it actually gives a nice dewy look so I like to go barefaced with it too. It is fairly pricey but skincare is definately my splurge area. The packaging is cute and durable (I'm clumsy and tend to drop it when I'm rushing in the morning).
Also, I use clinique at night, not this.

I got Bienfait Multi-Vital SPF 30 lotion as a sample GWP, and had a severe allergic reaction, causing burning, redness, peeling, rash and itching. Would not recommend this lotion to anyone with sensitive skin. Toxic chemicals and known carcinogens - this one is going in the trash.
Did some research and found this info:

I love this daytime moisturizer! I have used countless brands from drugstore to high end and this is the best one I've used. It makes my combo sensitive skin soft, smooth, and glowing with beauty! It's light but not too light and it wears perfectly under makeup. This is the only moisturizer I will be using for the daytime from now on. In fact I love the entire Bienfait Multivital line! I hope it's never discontinued!

This review is for the cream.
This product made me look young. It smoothed out fine lines and wrinkles without clogging my pores. I have used other sunscreens, but really they were not treatment products as well, and this one is, and it also has a high spf. This product is beyond a plain sunscreen in that it will help improve the condition of your skin. It smells good, and absorbs reasonably quickly. Love the stuff.
Update. I have been using this stuff for over a month now. I still love it. It has not clogged my pores (and for me, that's saying a lot, as everything seems to.) My face is smoother and better than it has been in a long time. I have purchased a second jar. I have nothing bad to say about this stuff, except that I wish it were free.

This review is for the cream not the lotion. I love this product and it is incredibly lightweight, the smell is very faint and has immediately noticeable results. Upon reading some of these reviews I see there are complaints about women breaking out--this is due to the potency of the cream; if you have extremely sensitive skin I do not recommend this (I have eczema and it is OK). Additionally, this cream is meant for NORMAL to DRY skin... ladies please pay close attention this is not to be used if you have acne-prone skin, sensitive t-zones, combination/oily skin.

Okay I'm confused by the pictures since the title says it's the LOTION but the picture is showing the CREAM!! I use the lotion and I have normal to oily skin and tend to breakout every couple of months, especially if I break my routine. I've never really had problem skin just tend to be on the oily side in my t-zone, occasional adult acne (never really had bad acne problems growing up even though very oily), and I'm very fair and susceptible to the sun. I love this moisturizer (I use the one that is for normal to combination skin) as it makes my skin feel healthy, soft, and it doesn't leave a greasy film. Plus the SPF is a must! 2 pumps is all I need to take care of my face and neck for the daytime. Since turning 30 I had to find something that would give me some added vitamins etc. for my skin and this truly was a good fit for my skin type. I have tried this in the cream as well and I didn't like it as much because it was heavier and did leave me feeling a little greasy by the end of the day, however the lotion is lighter and doesn't do that. It has taken me awhile but I have perfected my skin routine and my friends are always wanting to know how I have such perfect skin. Little do they know it's not perfect and takes some work but this moisturizer is part of what makes it great!! I suggest it to anyone who has skin like mine, make sure you check what skin type you're buying the moisturizer for too. If you have dryer skin you should definitely get the normal to dry... etc. Hope this helps!!

It's perfect for a 35 year old, like myself. You need something more than just a light gel, and spf 30 protection is great. The fragrance is very gentle and pleasant.
I think it may be too heavy for younger people and it may not be worth their money. Allergies is a deeply individual thing. My skin is sensitive, but this product does not cause any irritation or redness

I can see this working more for normal to dry skin. Definitely not for oily skin though. This stuff will leave your face so greasy within a couple of hours, especially in the summer! Nightmare... my makeup was sliding all over the place. I thought it was just my oily skin at first but once I stopped using this, my makeup lasts the entire day now. The alcohol in this also doesn't help at all, it stung my face and made it bright red. So sensitive skin beware too. The antioxidants in this are gone to waste because of the jar packaging making the product for it's price, mediocre.

I have the cream which is pictured but MUA product name says lotion--confusing!
I'm reviewing the cream. I do like this product a lot and never would have tried without Lancome supplying me some generous samples. It absorbs quickly, does not feel greasy, makeup glides over it and stays put. Smells wonderful. Only thing I don't love is the jar but it's not a deal breaker.
Paula Begoun gave this low marks because of the alcohol content but it seems my favorite sunscreens have alcohol in them which contributes to their lighter texture (my preference since I hate sticky, smothering and cloying). Finding an acceptable sunscreen is right up there with finding a great pair of jeans--not impossible but often a task--so when I find something good I want to holler!
Just tried the lotion formulation and found it very similar to the cream just maybe ever so slightly drier initially but it wears just like the cream and feels just as emollient to me as the day goes on. Pump is great but since I have the cream will be returning the lotion as it is just too similar and since we are moving into winter even here in the south the cream will probably be just fine for the season.

This is a great mosterizer I have the 0.5 gram jar right now. When I do run out I will buy the large size. Great product ! Doesn't sit on top of my skin and provides sun protection for my delicate skin

I'm on my third bottle of this lotion and like and enjoy using it (and as a public health researcher and Health Sciences student, I think that a little of anything in moderation is okay, from an informed, safe consumption perspective). Honestly, you're likely breathing in more carcinogens per day during your daily commute, than you're being exposed to, via applying this lotion, per se. Moreover, having watched several friends die from melanoma, as well as having a family history of skin cancer, I'm far more concened with sun protection, personally. This line is intended for people with NC complexions. Back when I was slightly more oily complexioned, I couldn't tolerate this: it broke me out and created a shiny, slimy residue. However, now, it's just right-typically worn underneath my Guerlain Precious Light or my Givenchy Le Prisme Visage Mat. In the past, I've also experimented with other sunscreen brands, like Vichy, Coppertone, and Olay, but their 'lotions' all seemed to be heavy, cloying and just sat on top of my skin (ugh). This one does not do that on me. Another feature that ensnares my loyalty to this product is the fragrance, which I love, but which may also irritate some people. It's pricey, but for something that I use daily, it's not too unreasonable.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. It has SPF 30!! Exactly what I need for the upcoming summer season. It does not clog my pores, goes on very smoothly and feels very light on my face. Then, why you may ask, am I giving this product only one lip? Because I decided to be a smart consumer today and read the ingredients that are in this product. And to my horror, I was overwhelmed with so many ingredients that are on the cosmetic chemicals to watch for list.
1) Glycerin: Unless air humidity is over 65%, glycerin pulls moisture from deeper skin layers to the surface, drying basal layers so cells don’t mature properly & age faster.
2) Tocopheryl acetate: linked to cancer
3) Triethanolamine: linked to cancer
4) Methylparaben/ Butylparaben: parabens in general are used to extend shelf life for products; highly toxic when absorbed by the skin
5) Fragrance: linked to immune/ nervous system toxicity
Those were just the few that popped out at me. Honestly, no matter how great the product is, if it is known to be toxic and linked to cancer do you really want it near you let alone on your own face?!
Be an intelligent consumer. continued >>

This is a great moisturizer that has a high SPF. Usually SPF makes a cream/lotion heavier, but this one feels nice to the touch. It's important to wear at least an SPF 15, but even better to wear an SPF 30. This is still moisturizing and gives a nice radiance to the skin, making it look healthy while protecting it.

I used this moisturizer a couple of years ago, when I used to live in Beijing. It is a solid day moisturizer, with really good spf, but I believe it is formulated for dry skin. The winter there was really crazy, always below zero and very dry, so my skin was really suffering. This helped a lot! It is also a good base for makeup. I would not use in summer though, and I will not repurchase as I'm trying to stick to natural skincare.

Like another review said before mine... OILY skin BEWARE!!!! I have oily skin and I have been trying out different daily moisturizers to find that HG, however this moisturizer made my face an oil slick by the end of the day. I don't mind my face being a little oily through out the day but this stuff made my EL DW separate and rub off. I have resorted to using it only at night, but I'm still on the search for a good daily moisturizer.

This is a review for the combination skin lotion in the bottle with a pump. I loved this moisturizer very much. It was the perfect consistency for my combination skin and for a product with SPF 30, it was surprisingly not greasy. It was a lifesaver during the summer when I knew I needed SPF but couldn't bear to put on yet another thick cream in the humidity. Unfortunately, my skin has become sensitive to many common sunscreen ingredients and I can no longer use this product. :( Still a really great moisturizer.

I like the way this smells and the spf 30. But thats about it, its not very moisturizing. It really doesn't do much for me at all. So I returned it to Sephora.

I have the lotion in a tube with pump.
I bought this product with high expectation as a result of endeavorous search for a new moisturizer and I trusted on Lancome. Even it says for all skin types, it did not work well on my acne-prone combination skin. It was a bit greasy and the worst of all it made me break out. Only in 2 or 3 days, I had large red achy acnes on my cheeks and even my neck!
I am really disappointed that a Lancome product caused such a huge disaster on my face. It took weeks to recover from those pimples.
Now, I will give a last try for this product on my neck assuming that it might work better in winter (I had bought the product at the beginning of summer because of spf 30).
If it still does not work for me, I will throw away the bottle.
What a waste of money, huh? Be aware of Lancome bienfait lotion if you have combination/oily skin prone to acne.
