Twinks is a shimmery deep brown with plum or cranberry undertones. When applied, it looks like a deep sheen brown that won't make your eyes look swallon or red. It's really versatile and can go with any other colours you use on your eyelids just to define your eyes. It's longlasting and the shimmer is not over-th-top. Such an everyday eyeshadow. MAC eyeshadows never disappoint me - anyway!

This eyeshadow looks amazing with brown eyes. I also love how well it works with my skintone and looks good when I am both tan or more pale. The color is hard to describe. To me it looks like a dark brownish-reddish bronze-plum color. It is a veluxe pearl so it blends easily. I love to use this over most of my eye lid for a smokey look or in the crease. It does have some shimmer to it but it's not over the top. I will repurchase this again and again when I run out. love this color. It is different from any other brown or bronze I have in my collection. If you have brown eyes give this color a try.

I love this color. It's a part of my MAC palette. It's a great crease color to use with Phloof. I would definitely repurchase. It looks so pretty, is so blendable, and is true to color in any lighting.

This has been my favourite eyeshadow for two years now - I have fair skin and greenish eyes and I can use it as heavily or lightly as I like and it always looks lovely. Have hit the pan twice, and always rebuy. Only complaint is that I always manage to pop the plastic lid out of M.A.C eyeshadows. So annoying.

Love this color!! My description if it would be a plummy/brown/reddish color with gold shimmer in it. Not over glittery but it has such a pretty sheen to it. Consistency is amazing; as with all other veluxe pearl eyeshadows. I love wearing this on lower lashline or outer v. Def would repurchase! :)

Twinks is a really nice and interesting color, although it may seem to be just a shimmery brown in the pan. Once applied, Twinks is a rich brown with deep plum and cranberry undertones, and has a pearly gold sheen.
I think it’s a great warm brown-plum shade that would look nice on most people with brown or green eyes. I love the Veluxe Pearl formula! It is smooth, easy to work with, blendable, long-wearing, and builds up well to achieve deeper intensity.
There are some red undertones in it which I don't like on myself, so I don't use it very often, but still a nice color though.

I love Twinks, but more on people with brown eyes. I find the redish tone in Twinks just makes brown eyes literally POP! Doesn't look anything special when swatched, but when applied to the eyes and packed on it's a very strong colour. Love it <3 continued >>

Veluxe pearl is my favorite finish for eyeshadow so there should have been no reason to not fall in love with Twinks....but like another reviewer here I think I got a lemon. This takes several swipes to show on my primed eyelid (for ref NC42). It's such a beautiful color for smokey eye but I might have used it once or twice and ended up giving it away.

So disappointed - Did I get a dud eyeshadow because the reviews here are nothing as to what I have experienced. I found even a simple swipe with my finger across the eyeshadow it didn't really pick up as much product (especially seeing as it's a veluxe pearl). In store it was good, but when I took my product home it just felt hard? Not sure, but I'm sad because I really wanted to like this colour. I bought Sable the following week which was so soft and beautiful. In Australia we don't have good return policies so now I'm left with a MAC eyeshadow which is totally unusable, sad :(

I couldn't pass finding this at my CCO for $10. Deep warm brown shade, lovely on the outer corner to deepen smokey look. Been loving this lately!

I am a PPP and I wear love to wear a smokier eyes daily and always wear a few darker shadows in my crease and outter v. I used to be so afraid of reddish or slightly orangey browns and basically only wore Satin Taupe for a long time.
But I took a chance with this and I have just fallen completely in love with the reddish bronze glow!

Twinks is a gorgeous reddish plummy medium brown bronze shimmer.
It can look pretty dark brown or a bronzey red plum brown when looking from certain angles.
It has the Veluxe Pearl formula..... which is the best MAC formula for killer pigmentation and softness for ease of application.
Though, I feel this one is not as soft as the others....but it is still quite pigmented and soft.
I think its just packed too tightly and I feel that lately most of my newer refills seem a lot harder and packed tighter than before! I have read many reviews lately stating this as well.
MAC's staying power for this has not changed and I still do not "need" to use a primer to get the durability and pigment. And especially if you have the right brushes to begin with.
This is very versatile and can be applied sheerly with a fluffy blending brush and then of course it can be loaded onto your flat shader brush for a dark full opaque color.
The reddish bronze just makes my brown eyes and hair shine. And even with a smokier look it just looks so warm and bad azz at the same time ;)

Twinks is a plummy brown bronze on my skintone. It very neutral on me. It took some building up for it to show up but I like it. The finish is shimmery and the texture is soft and easy to blend. Im about NC50-55.

Twinks is amazing. It's my most used eyeshadow. Its a shimmery plum brown. I find when used in the crease with patina on the lid it pulls more brown and with all that glitters on the lid it appears more plum. Can be worn day or night. For night time looks, I use it all over the lid and line my upper and lower lashlines with black eyeliner, sometimes I'll add sketch to the outer v. Love it, makes my hazel eyes pop.

Day or night eyeshawdow! LOVE IT! If I was just wearing it to work I usually just tap on lightly with it over my eyelids or just right underneath my water cil, not on it but right underneath it. Really open up my eyes w/out the dramatic eye kohl liner. Price & packaging is good. Last a long time. It's a must have for sure! Get it! It's amazing. continued >>

The color is the most beautiful brown/gold/bronze shade ever!, Looks great on every eye color and skin tone. Somehow looks neutral but also noticable. Love, love, love!

I bought this after a MUA at mac applied it on my lids while having my makeup done. At the time I wouldn't have thought to purchase a color like this. It made my green eyes look wonderful. The texture and application is also great. I've also received compliments on my eyes from a customer at work while wearing it. I would repurchase if I run out.

Got this shadow for the holidays and I'm in LOVE. Pigmentation is fabulous. I think this color was made for my skin tone. It's blends well too. Great for a crease color or a neutral smokey eye. I've also lightly applied for the lid, added a highlight and some mascara and I've got a 30 second eye for when I'm in a rush.

Bring an NC42-43, twinks is really nice on me as a lid colour. However, it has to be packed on a bit for it to be a nice plummy brown crease colour. I may look for something a bit darker in the future...

I'm always out to find a way to bring something special to an everyday neutral eye, and this is the perfect color. A dark brownish-plum with gold undertones really brings out brown and hazel eyes, and adds a little something different to the everyday neutral eye palette. I typically pair this with Soft Matte Brown, Retrospeck, and Banshee (LE). Also, this color blends beautifully and has a really nice finish.
