It was an expensive disappointment for me. This winter is really severe here in Russia and my sensitive skin is in dire need of an effective moisturizer especially my lips and hands. Based on the reviews I was hoping that this little guy would help me deal with the dry lips. It is nice, it does not make my lips feel worse but it does not heal them either. And I have to apply the product really heavily to get at least some nourishment so the tube only lasts slightly over a month with daily application. For me it's not worth it and I will be looking for something better

HG for me and my cracked winter lips. I am switching to this after years of loyalty to Fresh Sugar lip treatment. This one works even better. I do think the price is ridiculous and I wish the product were a bit more firm - it smushes and melts easily - but overall I love it and I'm glad I found it!

Well, I have to say it--this stuff seems miraculous! I have been having serious dry lip problems and NOTHING has worked. I have tried Vaseline products, Nivea, Korres (my usual lip balm), eos, and Blistex. Nada. I have been resisting buying this because it is ridiculously expensive, but I guess if you're buying a miracle the price is right. My lips showed improvement after just a few hours; they both look and feel soft and plump. Even though it's quite expensive, I definitely will repurchase as long as it continues to perform. I've not had this for long, so I'll update if anything changes.

I decided to give this a try, in spite of the price, and I've been using it for a month now. It's okay but definitely not worth the $26. It goes on smooth and makes my lips feel soft without being sticky or greasy. I don't have many lines around my mouth, so I don't expect to see great improvement there. It's just that for $26, I guess I expected more of a feeling that my lips were really benefiting from using this. It's not all that much different than Aquaphor or Jack Black. And they don't cost $26. I'll finish the tube, but I won't repurchase. Also, this product is very soft and a lot goes on at one time, so I don't expect the tube to last very long.

My understanding is that this was an anti-aging products, as well as a moisturizer. Since I'm beginning to get more lip lines, I thought I'd give it a try. Uh-uh. It's a very good moisturizer -- no waxy feel, just smooth, slightly glossy moisture -- but does nothing in the anti-aging department. I used as directed, twice a day, and used up the whole tube. While my lips would be temporarily plumped up, it was a very temporary effect. Much like I get from using Burt's Bees beeswax lip balm. But when I'd come to the end of the tube, and had scraped out every little bit that I could, I saw no difference in the appearance of my lips. So yes, it's a nice moisturizer, but I can find other good lip moisturizers that are a lot cheaper than this.

ive had chapped lips for allllll my life! even wen i would wear lipgloss my lips would still be chapped!! i hated it , looked sooo unattractive! then i was just browsing in sephora and found this product and said i would give it a try. i put it on at night and the next day my chapped lips were GONEEE GONE GONE! i love this product! and would definiately recommend it to anyone! i have nice smooth lips now..seriously if u have dry chapped lips U HAVE TO TRY THIS PRODUCT OUT..u dont even need to purchase it again,, it will fix ur lips in ONE NIGHT!

Its okay, but nothing special. I tend to lick my lips until it is very dry and painful, this helps my lips preventing dryness somewhat.

I had a really bad experience with this. I used to use Clinique's Collagen treatment, which is discontinued, so thought I'd try this. At first, things seemed to be great. Then I noticed that my lips were getting raw and sore. I started to peel outside the lip line and discontinued use of this product. Went back to Neostrata's lip treatement and the peeling and scabbing disappeared. This might worl for a lot of people, but it certainly didn't for me. I'll stick with Neostrata for treatement and Avene Cold Cream lipstick for protection. my lips are finally back to normal. I have no idea what caused this reaction as so many people like it.

PERSONAL OPINION: Please note that I am an SA for Clinique and get this product Gratis (free). I have used this and see a significant improvement in the moisture level in my lips. Definitely provides a smooth base for lipsticks, but will cause this lipstick to wear off much faster, advise using this as a nightly treatment. Comes in a sleek silver tube similar to what the buttershine lipsticks are housed in. Would not advise anyone to leave it in a warm area. Very soft texture.

I have chronically dry lips that crack and peel, and generally look and feel awful. I bought this after reading the reviews from other people with the same problem, but it's not working as well for me as I hoped. It feels wonderful when first applied, smooth and silky, not greasy or waxy like some other balms. I put this on before I go to bed, and my lips do look and feel better in the morning. However,this effect is short lived if I don't continually reapply throughout the day, like a regular lip balm. Within an hour or so of not applying, my lips are back to being dry and cracked. I will keep using this and perhaps there will be long term benefits that I haven't seen yet. But as it is, I wouldn't repurchase. Love the packaging though, and it does give a lovely sheen to my lips. continued >>

Love this. My lips are so dry - even in the summer but especially in the winter. You're supposed to use this in the morning and at night, and if following the directions it lasted long enough that I felt that I got my moneys worth.
I love that it feels so silky smooth, it's not sticky at all.
Also a tip: when you reach the very last bit in the tube, you can scoop out the rest and have enough for several more applications.
This is a great product, Clinique has a winner with this one!

I am a big fan of lip treatment. I own more lip tx than lipstick or lipgloss.. This reminds of DIOR's liptreatment (forgot the name).. I apply this on first before listick or lipgloss.. So smooth, not drying, no smell and no flavor.. I'm glad I walked in clinique and the SA helped me get this.. Will buy it again..

HG!!!! I will ALWAYS own this product. It's like a magical chapstick. Feels soooo velvety and there's no funky smell whatsoever! I usually wake up with dry and painfully cracked lips. I put this on the first night and BAM!! Like magic!! I can smile first thing in the morning without splitting my lips in half!!

Excellent lush-feeling balm for parched lips, seems to improve lip texture too. No taste or smell -- yay! I will buy this forever.

HG! My lips were sooo chapped and dehydrated, they were just a horrible mess.The clinique lady recommended this and I was just not sure because the thing costs 32.50$CAD (freaking expensive)!!
Ok so... I applied it the first day like 3 times and before going to sleep, then the next day I applied it in the morning and I forgot the treatment at home so I started to panick, my lips were going to run out of product and get dry and chapped again!!! but then.... something happened.... when they finally ran out of product.... it was like... OMG... the chapped stuff was gone and my lips felt full and hydrated, it was a miracle!!!!!... I tried so many things and they never worked!! I always had to reapply whatever shitty product I was using before because as soon as my lips were bare again they would become dry!!
The best part is that I can apply it only in the morning and my lips will be hydrated and full the WHOLE freaking day!!!
P.S: the packaging is awesome.... I'm in love with this product

Wow! I'm so glad I did my research here on makeup alley because i would have never picked up this product without the recommendations i read here!
when i started working at a new office with the air conditioning right above my head and the sun directly on my face practically all day, my lips started to chap really really bad. it chapped so bad that everytime i laugh or sneeze, they would start bleeding!!! T-T
i tried putting on my kiehl's lip balm, amore pacific lip balm, chapstick, vaseline, honey, you name it and nothing worked! dry, flaky skin outlined my lips and it was so painful and gross. i wanted to go back to my trusted cle de peau but i'm on a really tight budget now so i was desperately looking for a cheaper alternative. i decided to give this a shot.
it was still quite expensive at about $33 canadian at my local shopper's drug mart (i wish the bay's clinique promotion started just a week earlier, urgh!) but i bit the bullet. even the store clerk raved about it at the cashier. i put it on generously all over my lips that night and woke up in the morning and found my lips flaking!!! i was so upset! but when i gently scrubbed off the flaky skin, underneath all that mess was my old soft and smooth lips!!!!!! it healed all that chapping over just one night. i couldn't believe it!!! now i'm recommending this to everyone with chapped lips.
the product itself is encased in a lipstick-like tube. packaging is so so and the stick goes really fast. i'm already down 20% of the whole thing in just 3 days :( but i don't think i need to apply anymore because my lips are all moisturized and healed. i am going to keep one at the office and maybe get another one for my night stand though. i don't want to be without it when that dreaded dryness comes back (especially with the summer coming soon, it is going to get worse with all that artificial forced air ventilation on my head and the sun!)

my husband had a mini panic attack when i told him the cost of this shiny li'l object ( he still thinks it's just 20$ ) .. but i have barely used it for 2 days and already don't feel the need to reach out for a "lip balm " every now and then.
it's exactly what i hoped for !!
it's not super waxy unlike carmex
it has amazing staying power unlike burt's bees
it lets lipstick stay on top unlike chapstick / blistex
verdict : will soon be a cult favourite !!!

EDIT: i ran out of two frikkin' tubes of this when my lips were seriously chapped after weeks of rock an' roll partying ! i could not really afford to get another one right away and guess what's been working JUST AS GOOD ...vaseline ( no .. i don't mind the petroleum jelly and yes it probably is not the best for putting lipstick on top ... BUT healing power is almost equal AND IT IS HELLA CHEAP )

I must add my comment on this despite the fact that I only bought it yesterday. It healed my lips in ONE DAY. They were cracked and peeling to the point where they started to hurt. No other lip balm in my collection seemed to help any more. Out of desparation I forked out for this treatment yesterday morning and reapplied several times during the day + nice thick layer last thing at night. I woke up this morning and am in awe. My lips look like new. All the dry, loose skin is gone. Somwhere. Somehow. Pouf! Lips are smooth, plump and completely healed. I still can't believe it myself.
From now on, I'll apply it mornings and at night, as directed by Clinique. Will definitely repurchase and recomment to anyone with dry, painful lips. Yes, it is expensive, but worth every penny and it will last a long time. HG!

I stopped using this for now because my lips are in fairly good condition. But if I ever have dryness and chapping emergency again, I will get it again, that's for sure.

This is the only lip product that actually healed my lips after a severe sun burn . after the blister healed i was left with a very rough scab like spot on my lower lip that kept falling off and reappearring. once i started using this product it has disappearred for good and i am totally addicted to this now , i use it multiple times a day!!! the price is a bit much for lip balm but i have to say it is worth every penny! hope they never get rid off this one!!!

For years I've used Dr. Hauschka lip balm because I didn't think anything else would work as well. I bought the Repairwear Lip Treatment to qualify for a GWP and I have to say that it works even better for me. I don't use it during the daytime but I alway put it on right before I go to bed along with the rest of my nightime regime. The Dr. Hauschka was very good at keeping my lips from chapping during the wintertime but the Repairwear seems to have actually smoothed the creases of my lips slightly. My lips are pretty old and they used to smoke so anything that improves them is a keeper for me. It's nearly three times as expensive as the Dr. H. but because of the results I'm going to shell out for another tube of this stuff to last me through the rest of the winter.
