I love this stuff. It leaves my skin clean and fresh, but not tight and itchy. I have very dry skin and this stuff is perfect for me. too bad they no longer carry it at my local origins store.

I love this stuff for the winter. You have to use it correctly because it does not foam at all. The pump makes it easier to use but MY BIG COMPLAINT -- when I use the pump it is too big for my medicine cabinet. So it works but you have to get the hang of it, or it feels gross.
Update: I missed this product and bought it on sale. When the pump is in the bottle it now fits on my medicine cabinet shelf. Hooray -- no more knocking over the bottle becuase it is on the sink.

Perfect for very dry skin. I have extremely dry sensitive skin and this product doesn't dry or irritate my skin in the least. It helps my skin stay moisturized. Which is a major plus for me.
This cleanser is not an oil, though it has the texture of such. To use this properly, take a small amount in your hand, mix with very little water until it looks like a milky texture, put on pre-moistend face, massage around, then remove with a warm, damp wash cloth, then wash face with water, pat dry. This product does not foam up. This product did not leave a film on my face and I never broke out from it. I am on my 3rd bottle. The only complaint I have is that it should come with the pump though you can purchase a pump separately for a dollar.

I wanted to like this so badly but it totally dried my skin out. So much that I developed flaky patches all over my face. Ugh. It smells so good and seems so mild that I was surprised what it did to me. Maybe it is better for combo/normal skin - NOT dry skin.

So, another GOOD review from me. Could not decide between Babor Hy-Öl and the Origins Cleansing oil, so I got a sample of both and I really prefer this one as it is easier to use.
This is an oil cleanser, but it is water-soluble and can be rinsed with water. Don't expect this to foam, as it definitely doesn't. But if you like a gentle cleanser for dry skin which can be combined with a massage (I do so and it tones my skin very well), go for this.
I tested it with a real lot of make-up and it did remove all stuff, but because of the fresh spearmint scent I prefer using this cleanser in the morning. The only complaint is that the mint oil might irritate eyes a little bit, thus it is not recommended for eye make up removing. Has no mineral oil in it, price is okay (17.50 EUR in Germany).
Will surely repurchase.

I want to start of by saying that for this product to work, or any other oil cleanser for that matter, you have to use it correctly! I have read some of the other comments and some girls have problems with rinsing or a film being left behind. So, let me explain how this product is to be used.
On *dry* skin, *pat* the oil onto your face. DO NOT RUB IT AROUND! Then splash warm water onto your face and swirl around to get a milky texture. Then rinse off.
If you follow these instructions, you shouldn't have any problems with this type of cleanser.
I love oil cleansers because I feel they do the best job at removing makeup and keeping my sensitive skin happy. No harsh detergents or acids.
I only gave the packaging 2 lippies because it comes with a screw cap which is impractical for this type of cleanser. A pump is highly recommended, but it's an additional $2. Either the dispenser on the packaging should be changed or the pump should come with the cleanser at no charge.

After trying numerous skin care lines because I have extremely sensitive skin, I think I have found something I can finally live with! I've always been curious about Origins because the store smells so good, so I went in and the SA recommended this to me. While I usually like cleansers that have a lot of foaming action (because then I think it's actually cleaning), I learned that usually it takes harsh detergents to cause that foaming action. This product does not foam up at all, however it really does an excellent job of removing my make up. There is usually little to none left when I follow up with my toner. When finished washing my face, my skin is not red and feels very soft. Not tight at all. The packaging is a little annoying, but I switched out the twist off cap with the flip top cap from my Comforting Solution and that works great for me. I will definitely repurchase.

I have sensitive combo skin and use mineral makeup and sunscreen, pretty much daily. Both the MU and s/s are kinda of hard to remove, so I use my cleanser twice, then follow w/ a mild exfoliant. But I thought I would try LQ as a MU remover first and then a cleanser (once) to ease up on my skin. LQ was 'just ok' w/ removing the MU, and left a film. I was under the impression that LQ was mostly rinsable (it was not for me), this was less of an issue since I followed w/ another cleanser. But most annoying, it was impossible to figure how to use this product to get the best effect. On dry skin w/ water, on wet skin, etc. It was not an easy product to use. So, I exchanged this product for Origins Pure Cream, which dissolves MU well and rinses off much, much better.

Overall, this is a great cleanser option when your skin is dry and flakey. It feels nice on and despite the fact that it is oil, it does not leave your skin oily. I have dry, yet blemish prone skin (I know that sounds strange) and this did not break me out. Origins needs to rethink the packaging though! Pouring oil out of a bottle with wet hands and keeping it in your hand can be tricky. It would be easier with a pump or flip top bottle.

This cleanser is an oil that suposedly cleans. I guess it worked okay but I didnt feel like it cleaned out my pores, and it doesnt take off makeup very good. Smells good however, but the pure cream and mint wash are better than this.

I have dry sensitive skin so I thought this would do good for me. Unfortunately I was wrong. It's a bit oily, which I hate, coz when i cleanse I expect squeky clean feeling and this failed to deliver such expectation. My face feels slimy and it also don't thoroughly remove my makeup. It's a lot more expensive than Origins Pure Cleanser but I like the Pure Cleanser better. No repurchase.

This product would only be good for someone with increadibly dry skin who didn't wear makeup. It didn't touch my makeup and left my face feeling oilier than before I washed it. I wasted $16.50, plus an extra dollar to pay for the pump to put on the bottle, because they make you pay extra for part of the packaging that should obvioulsy be included in the price.

This is one of the few cleanser that I have found that doesn't completely screw up my complexion. It is very oily and doesn't really lather, nor does it rinse clean, but it didn't turn my face bright red when I used it, which is a plus. They might want to redesign the bottle, since pouring a "little" of the liquid into your hand is pretty much impossible with their packaging.

This is junk in my opinion. I went to an Origins event and had a mini-facial and makeover and this was one of the products the MA suggested for my sensitive skin. I ended up buying a starter set and it had this cleanser in it. It is supposed to foam up when mixed with water, but it doesn't really do that. It is so thin and runny that I have to use quite a bit to get enough to cleanse my face. And it definitely does NOT get all of my makeup off. The MA said I can use it on my eyes even though the bottle says not to - so I did. It did not remove all of my mascara and eyeliner even though I gave them a good scrub. I don't find this to be harsh like some of the other reviewers but it doesn't leave my skin feeling like anything special either.

I was a little afraid to use oil on my skin, eventho I have dry skin. I was afraid it would clog pores and make me break out. I ahve been using this for almost a week now and I think it's a nice and gentle way of cleaning my face. And it does clean my face! I use a toner after and there are no traces of makeup and dirt left. I can't seem to smell the minty scent in it...so i guess it's pretty light! I have the special size of this (100ml) from the promotional package they get on boxing day. and it's just a bottle. It's kind of tricky to pour on your hands. No spills yet.

The salegirl (whom I ahve become friends with) told me to dampen my face then apply liquid crystal and then splash it off. But since I have really dry skin, I just apply it on my dry face, massage and then wash it off. Nice! Will absolutely buy again!

Took a lippy off because of the packaging.

*Update* Just used a sample of the DHC deep cleansing oil, and it's very similar to this. continued >>

urghhhh... this is everything but gentle. Sure it smells good, but that is not the purpose of a cleanser!! This felt like putting minty oil on my skin!! My sensitive, dry spots felt irritated, and my oily spots oilier. A pure marketing gimmeck

this is the worst cleanser i have ever tried. the concept is that the oil will turn into a creamy, slightly foamy cleanser when you add water to it, but it really didn't clean anything, felt very greasy, and clogged my pores big time. i have normal to dry skin and rarely break out, but this one gave me lots of small bumps. had to throw it in the trash after a few weeks.

I really really love the smell of this cleanser, it reminds me that of Wringley's mint chewing gum, it smells awesome! And it really lifts my mood each time. Like 1 reviewer below said, you just want to keep washing your face! =) It was recommended to me by the SA as I was looking for a make-up remover and it does take away my heavy duty concealer + foundation. It's one of the cheapest cleansing oil on the markets and although I haven't tried the rest, the price can't be beat -- $33 for 200 ml bottle. You pay extra $2 for the pump which I recommend as it's easier to get the oil out of the bottle w/o any wastage. This removes all my make-up, and is gentle enough to use on your eyes even though I do use a seperate eye m/u remover when I'm wearing heavy eye m/u. Will definitely re-purchase! RAVE RAVE RAVE!

So far it's working good. I have sensitive skin and there is no tightness after I use it. I like the smell, kind of minty. Very nice but also very expensive.

I feel a holy grail coming on! I have sensitive/combo skin, but with this dry weather by cheeks have cracked dry. This is so great, it is kind of like washing your face with oil (But it does lather better then I expected, you just have to use alittle more) but I like that feeling of moisture. It does leave a mositure film on your face also, but its so soft and smooth (doesnt make my skin oily at all)! Gets off all my makeup and still cleans my skin well, and it doesnt irritate my sensitive skin! Actually for being pretty gentle it leaves my skin looking so clear and clean. The smell is a nice refreshing creamy cooling mint. I love it so much, it makes me want to wash my face, its so nice!! I love the bottle and the name, I bought a pump for mine also, because I hated the mushroom twist off cap. So far it hasnt caused any breakouts, actually my skin is looking flawless, and my couple underskin/pimples I had are gone! I cant rave enough for this face wash! UPDATE: Its been a week or so, and ive gotten some clogged pores and white heads- eeK! I dont know if its because of the cleanser, I really hope not, but it may be :(
