I'm not massively adventurous with make-up, but this really spurs me on and makes me believe I can be!
It's a stunning bubblegum pink there's no hiding, and the formula is smooth to apply, with a perfect satin finish. It makes teeth look whiter, and is surprisingly flattering against my complexion. I tend to wear this when I'm paler, with smokey silvery eye make-up.
I always forget about it, but sometimes when I'm doing my makeup and rooting around for a lipstick, I come across this and go 'oooh, yeah, I forgot about you' :)

I had enough money to buy five mac lipsticks from my mum and I couldn't choose my fifth, as costa chic and impassioned were out of stock, so I chose this on a whim hoping it was good. However I hadn't heard much talk about this, but then remembered Beautycrush mention how much she loved it... So I was incredibly happy about choosing it, it's like chatterbox but a bit brighter, I love this colour, and it makes my teeth look white! Any eyeshadow look works beautifully.
xx
I thought this would be a perfect pop of pink, because CYY seemed too bright and out there, especially for my skin tone and age. LOL. For some reason, this lipstick smells like shit. I'm not sure if its because its satin, but I am used to cremesheen and matte formulas. I need to wear this more often, because once I put it on my lips when I didn't even have any makeup on. It isn't horrendous, but it's definitely not my favorite. I am super pale, for reference. :)
This is one of my top 5 lipsticks of all time, which is really saying something, as I have well over 100 lipsticks. I love all the pale pinks MAC makes, but not many of them are easy to wear. I don't think Pink Nouveau is necessarily an easy one, but it's one of the less crazy Barbie/pale/cool pinks in the MAC collection. Probably not the color for you if you're going to be in court, but still muted enough that you could be over 30 and still wear without looking like you're trying too hard. (For the record, I'm 37 and wear bright colors and glitter quite a bit. Sue me.)
It's hard to describe the color because I really haven't seen an exact dupe for it. It's a mid-tone pink with a touch of lavender. It almost has a bit of a rose undertone, as if it would be a rose pink if it went one degree warmer. If you're nervous about the color you can use a lip brush to tone it down, as it applies fully opaque in one swipe, which is true of all MAC Satins. Like all the Satins I own (and I own quite a few, as they're my fave MAC finish), this applies smoothly, is incredibly pigmented, and lasts a loooong time. Satins generally don't have the ability to slide around, as they're relatively dry lipsticks. To me they're still comfortable to wear without being really drying to the lips which I feel MAC Mattes are. Satins don't transfer much to cups and such, which is great for me because I usually have a Diet Coke in one had and a coffee in the other.
It's important that your lips be in top condition if you want this to look its best, as it will show every little line. I apply Blistex Deep Renewal lip balm several times a day and it keeps my lips smooth and plump. MAC's Prime + Prep Lip Primer is also the B-O-M-B to use under and long-wearing/matte lipstick formula. (I have separate reviews on both of those products in case you're interested.)
For reference, if you want to try slightly warmer pinks not far off from Pink Nouveau, try either Please Me (Matte) or Chatterbox (Cremesheen). I don't think many skin tones have to truly stay away from this shade, and it looks IN-SANE-LY beautiful on dark-skinned ladies.
I like to consider Pink Nouveau to be my HG pink lipstick. It is just the most beautiful cool toned bubblegum pink ever. The formula is rich and creamy and it effortlessly glides on to your lips without pulling or tugging. It is quite long lasting. I've lasted about 4-5 hours without any touch ups.
One thing that I've noticed is that it does tend to settle into my lip lines after hours of wear, but that's something that can be easily remedied by using a lip primer. It seems like the kinda shade that would look good on ANY skin tone. Like all MAC products, this lipstick is a bit pricey for someone on a budget, but I believe it's worth every penny.

This is the only pink lipstick I've found to be flattering for me! I don't use it often as I'm not really a "pink" girl but when I do I feel confident in it! So I'm glad I bought it :)
This is one of MAC's best lipsticks and one of my personal favorites. It's the classic barbie pink and a must-have for your collection if you love pink lippies. It's quite bold and very beautiful against my fair skin; I get a lot of looks when I wear it. However, it's not TOO bright wear it looks unprofessional/clownish, yet it's not so subtle as a color like Speed Dial.
If you want something more bright, try Yum-Yum. Lighter? Speed Dial. More fuchsia bright pink? Show Orchid! But this is a completely unique shade, and I don't recommend any dupes for it...get the real deal, it's worth the reasonable price!

I really, really love this lipstick. I think the color is so barbie pink and pretty. It may look a little bright on some people, but you can always sheer it out with your finger. I just bought this recently and it's my new favorite lipstick.
This is a gorgeous Barbie-pink shade – no two ways about it. Highly pigmented with a creamy texture, I was surprised to find that the finish of this lipstick is Satin and not an Amplified Creme! It's very intense, however…bordering on the neon in some ways, but I think this just adds to it’s fun factor. There are no coral/brown tones with this lipstick, but depending on the lighting there are a few subtle lilac undertones with a strong blue base.
I would strongly recommend priming your lips before wearing this…I use chapstick beforehand because Pink Nouveau being a satin formula does leave my lips dry otherwise. The payoff is totally matte, no gloss and no glitter, which I really like, the focus is always on the lips. Some women will prefer to wear this for nights out exclusively, but I can wear this during the day no problem with a little toning down. Even when it’s blotted or applied with a light hand, there is still this beautiful hue of pink on your lips.I think almost anyone could rock this colour, tanned women and women of colour would love this shade!
