I'm a girlie girl that loves her cosmetics and smelling great on a shoestring. This is why I sample all drug store offerings. On my skin Navy (now by Dana) smells exactly like Boucheron in a side by side comparison except that Navy smells a touch nicer.... for $3! It's long-lasting, dirt cheap and easy to find. It don't care for the ugly bottle, but the overall value of the product makes up for it. Will always repurchase.

Its a shame that I can't find it here in Australia, this was the first ever perfume my dad got for me on a business trip to US, I remember I was 13 and I was a bit scared to wear it to school cuz none of other kids ever wear perfumes to school, but I did get compliments and I was so happy. It's been so many years but I think I still remember the unique scent the feel of warmth and love.

Brings me right back to 1991. Listening to Nirvana in my Xboyfriends mustang... I wouldn't wear this now. I Have a soft spot in my heart for it though. Sweet and Spicy..

This was my first "grown up" fragrance and I loved it. I hadn't owned or worn it in many many years. I recently was in Wal-mart and decided to get nostalgic. So I pick up a bottle and gave it a sniff. Took me right back to the Christmas I first got it and memories of jr.high. It's a warm powdery spicy scent that smells just like I remember. Yes..i will continue to repurchase.

Notes from Fragrantica: greens, peach, orange blossom, jasmine, ylang-ylang, rose, amber, musk, vanilla
let me preface the review by saying that i smelled it when it first came out in a magazine strip and thought it smelled amazing. At the time(i was in high school) i already fallen in love with my HG, Samsara and i thought this scent was definately in the same category. I never purchased it until the other day when i kept seeing it at Walmart for bargain price of $7(two little bottles of cologne). I figured if i didn't like it, seven bucks is not a big deal
at first smell(in the bottle), i wasn't impressed-smelled a bit old and dated to me. I decided to give it a go on my wrist and ahh...there we go, the scent that brought me back to 1991. Warm vanilla ambery goodness. I really don't get anything "powdery" like lot of reviewers claim. I generally dislike powdery frags and there is no powder there. I don't get peach and greens at all-jasmine with ylang-ylang predominate, with amber on the drydown. Very warm rich sweet scent. If you like fruity or fresh light frags, this is definately not for you-but if you appreciate richer orientals, you will love this, just like i did. Tiny spritz on my wrist lasted for at least 5-6 hours and we are talking eau de cologne here, not even edt. That's some lasting power, amazing! I miss the times when the fragrances actually lasted as opposed to modern scents that you have to layer to make it last.
This is sexy, rich scent, perfect for night out or cold weather. Alas, i live in the tropics but i still intend to wear it, just use a light hand. Will definately repurchase!

Ha. This fragrance actually mixes with my skin very well. I believe the chemists made this scent to be very long lasting and they hit the mark for good or bad.
I remember this bottle sitting on my sister's vanity next to Debbie Gibson's Electric Youth and Tribe (remember that! I gotta write a review) etc.
I'm appreciating the way peoples' own chemistry mixes with scents to hang on to certain notes or whatnot. So don't be surprised if some reviewers describe the scent as "fresh and crisp". It is neither on me. For me it's yes a little bit powdery but very spicy and actually quite expensive and complicated smelling once the top notes fall off, not sweet or powdery. Thought it was like that on every one but no.
For some reason cheaper frangrances often smell pricier and great on me, whereas if I fall in love with a sniff of say, Bvlgari green tea, it just doesn't mix so well on me, in my evaluation. My feedback? No compliments for the two years that I wore a spritz of B. green tea. That smells amazing in the bottle. Pricy too. But there is a reason why some scents endure, retail wise. They do smell good on a number of people and so they stay in demand.
Bottom line: If you don't have bad associations with this scent, this drug store fragrance is well worth giving a chance.

Great classic sweet as candy scent. It dries down to a nice adult scent. It reminds me of my mother, she always had a bottle of this in the 80's maybe early 90's

This one takes me back to the early 90's when I wore it a lot. Now I only have it in a body spray that I bought years ago but I still enjoy the fragrance once in a while. I am a little surprised that it is still sold actually, you don't hear about Navy much anymore. I would likely repurchase a small bottle of it if I ever ran out. But I use pretty sparingly as too much can be strong. Nice nostalgic scent though, I always liked the bottle too. I remember the ads I would see in magazines too, always portrayed the ones wearing Navy as classy ladies, I would agree that it's a classy fun scent.

I really like this fragrance. I got a little $3 bottle at Christmas from Wally's and I'm very pleased. It's not the best perfume ever but I was pleasantly surprised and will probably continue to keep a bottle as long as they keep making it.
Edit: I forgot to say that this is a nice vanilla scent.

I first wore this in college in the 90s; great price for being broke in college! It works pretty well with my skin, and I typically keep a bottle on hand. (others that work for me are Burberry, Chanel 19, Vanderbilt) My interpretation is that it is a powdery scent with some citrus. I only use one spray on my decolletage and one on one wrist (then rub both wrists together to distribute). I can totally see where it would be offensive if someone overdid it----a little goes a long way. It lasts all day on me, though I'm not one who can wear heavier scents. All in all a nice scent at a nice price.

High school memory alert! :) This is one I bought over and over, but my best friend in high school was the one it really, really had a great chemistry with.

This was my first 'grown up' perfume that I got as a teenager. I actually really loved it back in the day, very spicy and oriental. Nice sexy dry down. And it always takes me back when I smell it, although it doesn't quite smell like it did back in the day....

I usually love scents with a powdery dry down- I never thought I would say this but- this is way too powdery! After a brief whiff of cinnamon-it's poof gone and I'm left with powder that just smells- gross. I don't get it but I will be returning my bottle!

I actually love Navy...I LOVE the spicy coriander that’s tucked away in it...it’s this note that lures me so. It adds just a faint bite so the perfume isn’t boring. How I wish it wasn’t so recognizable! When guys can identify it as something their high school girlfriend wore it kind of kills the mystique. Guess you can’t blame a perfume for being successful though. I was first introduced to this my freshman year of high school in ‘94 (a nice departure from Vanilla Fields that everyone was wearing) and have loved it ever since. I think it smells slightly sophisticated for being a d/s perfume, (and imo, a more pricy d/s perfume), but still flirty and uncomplicated. Lasting power is good and overall doesn’t change except for turning just a little bit more softy musky/powdery as the day wears on. I’ll refresh if I’m going out at night. Yes, this is HG for me! It sits proudly right beside my Bulgari and Serge Lutens.

The only thing I know is that I vividly remember liking this when it came out, probably around my freshman year in highschool. I had a tiny bottle, but wore Liz and Colors as well. Ok, that dates me pretty well. Anyway, a girl I used to sit by in class would BATHE in this. By the end of the year, I would back away when I saw her coming and I had already thrown out my tiny bottle. I would be ok if I never smelled it again. I took a whiff years later in a store of a tester...same thing happened..."yep, that's Cheryl"

I've worn Navy off and on for years and I really like it. A good friend of mine is a high-end fragrance snob and will only wear Boucheron. It's very expensive, but smells really pretty. Well, one night we went out to dinner and she was wearing Boucheron while I was wearing Navy. Our dates thought we were wearing the same perfume. I never noticed until then that it smelled identical - at least on us.
It's hard to describe this fragrance - definitely has floral notes, but there's something musky/incensy going on in there, too. For the price, it's a great fragrance.
